Big push in my circle to see the film; and have only gotten positive feedback from those Catholics I know who have seen the movie. The terrible Movie Trailer kept me off the bandwagon because I do not want to support anything that undermines God and His purpose for our lives. I learned a lot from your review that I wasn’t hearing elsewhere, and have no plans to see the movie.
My husband of 52 years died recently. The marriage became a heavy cross for many reasons; the cabal of evil and secular feminism at the top of the list. In reading old letters I found in my husband’s gun case, I was reminded of just how much we were both steeped into and affected by false feminism. We could have had a beautiful marriage , but I am grateful to have remained in love with him in spite of it all! I would rather die than support ANY false feminine because I know the suffering and damage it causes to persons and families, especially children.
Except for God and a few distant people like you all, I am very much alone in my very strong convictions and aversion to the disgusting and vile false feminism everywhere around me so your podcasts are a huge support; thank you all!

I hear you......(I was a widow for nine years.....I am remarried now) and I never realized that feminism might have affected my present husband, too. I live in rural America, and men are men automatically.

43:57 Love you guys. Love the podcast. Swearing on the podcast is your choice. Taking the name of God in vain? Not so much. That's a very real line, that shouldn't be crossed; nor should you allow it to be crossed on the show without at least some fraternal correction. The ten commandments are serious matter. And that includes the 2nd.

Just saw Cabrini and it was better than I had expected. First 20 min or so was a lot of man bashing, and they had her coughing too much and praying too little, but as a period piece it worked for me. I don't know anything of the veracity of the events portrayed. I started listening to Gordon and his chums review it on the way home and they were going off the trailer, like I was. They never even saw the movie and were shredding it. And they call us boomers idiots. Bush league fellas. The movie had too little spiritual dimension.

I just saw the movie. I think this was a little bit of an overreaction.
There are for sure some underlying themes of feminism and “girl power” snuck throughout, but honestly nothing so unbearable which takes away from the full message. It wasn’t that bad.

We need real, authentic, Catholic films. Not this Protestant crap.
