Local disaster guide, I discovered you recently and I wish to say one thing to you: thank you. Your work is amazingly inspiring and it can really propel the wish to be a storyteller (:
Thank you! I truly appreciate it when I hear things like this!
For someone that’s never ran pathfinder or D&D before. What would be a good adventure path to start in pathfinder 2e?
I don't have this product, so this is based entirely on what I've heard others say, but the Beginner's Box for Pathfinder 2e is very popular & comes with a starter adventure.
Then, if you really enjoy it, there's a second adventure that they published as a pseudo-sequel to the Beginner's Box Adventure - which I believe is Troubles in Otari.
The only published Adventure Path that I personally own is Age of Ashes, which I like, but it has a reputation for being VERY difficult (that is probably more fair than I want to admit, LOL).
I have heard a lot of good things about the Abomination Vaults Adventure Path, but I have not played it personally, so again, I can't speak from experience.
I tend to run homebrew stories, so APs are not my usual expertise.
So, based purely on what I've heard others say:
1st Recommendation: Beginner's Box & Troubles in Otari
2nd Recommendation: Abomination Vaults
As for other APs, Agents of Edgewatch deals with some very heavy themes & material, so it comes with a bit of a content warning.
Age of Ashes is a solid "vanilla" story (no super crazy lore elements), but especially starting in Book 2, watch for difficulty spikes.
Strength of Thousands is a super cool premise IMO, but it uses variant rules, so I wouldn't start there.
And I'm honestly not super familiar with any of the others to offer even vague guidance.
i just got the pocket edition books for PF2, do you think they will make the lost omens pocket edition books.
They didn't do that for setting books in Pathfinder 1e - but the Lost Omens format is notably different from a lot of their 1e setting books, so I'm not sure. If it happens, I imagine it'll be late in the product line. Obviously just hypothesizing on my part!
