Hi, BGSU Falcon Marching Band alum here. This was our first year with a brand new director, and he had it in his head each down should have a certain song to go with it, which even we in the band thought was annoying and repetitive. Yes we do play the fight song and Ay Ziggy (BGSU alternate fight song) a ton, but we would throw other music in there normally before the new director. Thankfully he learned from this experience and in future seasons we didn't have that much repetition. But then of course our football team started to play terribly. As for why it sounded bad? Well, first and foremost ESPN has never done a good job picking up the sounds of the band. I remember watching the replay of the 2014 Camellia Bowl where I played and whenever we played the fight song, ESPN would only pick up the cymbals. Second, it was hot, muggy, and constantly raining during this game. Instruments facing the extreme elements don't mix well. It would rain hard for 5 minutes straight, then stop for 15 minutes causing everything to steam up and get muggy, then repeat. I was honestly surprised the woodwinds kept our instruments out instead of put away to keep from damaging them.
That was a fast AF QB

Bowling green got embarrassed. Come on it was a Second string QB who scored 3 or 4 touchdowns and got 199 yards.
Rushing yards i might add not passing
they call them first and second string qb but really they are pretty equal

destroyall24 Are you sure that's not Georgia Southern's band? I could swear sometimes the music sounds like the Georgia Southern fight song.
