    I stayed here in march 2024 and the hotel is very nice. Great staff and a nice hotel. My only qualm with the hotel is you forget you're in Venice and feel like you're in America. Marriott is clean with their branding but I think offering some authenticity of your surroundings would go a long way.

      Right. You forget you're in Venice. It's actually quiet.

    Thank you for showing the gym! My husband loves to check out the gym before he decides on the hotel.

    Awesome video. So you need a hotel reservation to board and exit the shuttle? Thinking of going to check out the property and stay for lunch. Will they let us walk around or do they have a wrist band?

      Thank you for asking a good question! It's important! Maybe I forgot to write down in the video, but they don't check who you are, when you check in/out, or even if you are staying at JW when you get on the shuttle boat. No need reservation for the boat. They didn't give us any wrist band. We didn't need even reservation proof. Everyone waiting at the pier just got on the shuttle boat. So, just show up. I think it's easy as long as the shuttle isn't full. (I had never missed the shuttle boat, but only one time, the boat was full, so I recommend you stand in a line earlier if you can't miss.)
      Thank you again for watching my video and for such a nice comment!! 😊😊😊 Have a nice stay and lunch!

    Hi, I have booked this property for a belated high school graduation for my twins, how much of the grand canal (if any) do you see while using their shuttle? Is doing a Grand Canal boat tour going to duplicate what we already see? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also, what room category did you book?

      Thank you for watching my video and the comment. Congratulations! From the property to the JW shuttle dock, it would take 20 minutes, and you will cross the Grand Canal with the complimentary shuttle, so you can see Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, another hotel Belmond Hotel Cipriani, or another private island because the shuttle is passing by. (But the shuttle does stop in front of them. It’s a really transportation shuttle between JW and the main area.) We didn’t get the Grand Canal boat tour, so I’m not sure where those boat companies would take you. It might duplicate a little. Maybe the boat companies will explain the route and you can check if it’s duplicate or not. Honestly we didn’t need the boat tour because we had the free boat ride every day twice or four times a day. We did the Grand Canal gondola tour. Gondola ride is really different even though the ride sometimes duplicates the shuttle area, so I still recommend you taking the gondola tour. And we booked the most reasonable room (just a guest room) with Bonvoy points, but we used “Suite Upgrade Night” certificate, so we could sleep in Junior Suite and the room I showed in the video was Junior Suite, 1 King. I hope this explanation would help your stay. Let me know if you have more questions. I had been wondering many thing before I stayed, like where the shuttle boat would pick us up, but now I’m clear, so count on me.

      @@yuka.m Thanks for the information, it gives me a better understanding of the property and amenities. Did you book a private transfer from the airport? Did you eat at any restaurants?

    • @yuka.m
      @yuka.m  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your reply. We arrived at St Lucia Station by train, not the airport, so the situation might be different from yours, but I was told they could arrange the water taxi one way €90 from the St Lucia Station to JW, or €150 from the airport. We chose to walk from St Lucia Station to JW shuttle dock for 30 minutes. We saved €90 😆 , but the taxi might have been worth if we had a big luggage🤔. Though the water taxi is categorized as a private transfer because it’s only for you, if you want a “real” private transfer, not a taxi, you could inquire to a concierge about how you book a private transfer, how/where they pick you up, how you pay, how much.. I also have a price list, and it looks like there are some options like standard/deluxe boat, Meet&Greet, night transfer or not, how many passengers/luggage, etc…
      As for restaurant, we ate only breakfast at JW and we had lunch/dinner in the main Venice area. JW has lots of options for lunch/dinner, but it was expensive for us, so we couldn’t go there.😢 I wish.
      I have a private transfer detail information including prices and restaurants menus list for each restaurant, so let me know if you need. Thanks again for watching my video.

    it is impossible to contact them, they do not answer the phone. They don't have an email address. It is not known how to make them a bank transfer for the balance of the stay before arrival. There is no reception telephone number. An arrogance and an absence of hospitality that has absolutely nothing Italian about it.

    • @yuka.m
      @yuka.m  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, noooo😔😔😔 There are several ways to contact them. 1. Contact Marriott International to say that you would like to contact JW Marriott Venice for some reasons. Marriott must have ways to contact you or let you contact them. 2. Scan the QR code in my video, 5:54(5 minutes54 seconds), as I showed the map with QR code on the left corner, then go to "Hotel Service" → "Concierge" → "E-MAIL CONCIERGE DESK." It shows the email address of the concierge, so you can email to concierge to say that you would like to talk to the front desk regarding how to transfer money via bank before arrival. 3. Wait till you receive the welcome email. Usually, you get it 2 days before check-in, and just reply to them.
      I know their email addresses of reception, guest relations, and concierge, but I don't know if it's appropriate to show them here...🤔🤔🤔, so please try those above.
      Thank you for watching my video. Have a nice trip!

    Is this all inclusive?

    • @yuka.m
      @yuka.m  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching my video and the comment. I don’t think that the hotel is all inclusive. At least, it was not all inclusive for us😢. I found out that the breakfast might be included if you book the room in cash. (That’s what the front desk person told us.) We booked the room with Bonvoy points, so the breakfast wasn’t included. We have just chosen the breakfast free benefit as Titanium Status, so we could get the free breakfast buffet fortunately. To make the story short, technically the breakfast can be included if your Marriott Bonvoy status is Platinum or above and you book directly through Marriott. I mean the hotel can be 1/3 inclusive depending on your booking method like cash or points and your Marriott Bonvoy status?? I hope this explanation would help your decision to stay. Actually the dinner restaurant “Fiona” (I didn’t show in the video) looked so expensive for us😅, so we didn’t go. You can get the menu of the restaurant when you download the JW Marriott Venice QR code in my video. Let me know if you have another questions. Thanks again for watching! I really appreciate it.
