I'm so tired of people commenting on her pots and pans, her unhealthy cooking, not washing her hands enough!! She's showing you the basics of cooking...you can choose to follow the recipe or not, like the channel or not, add a pound of butter or not, wash your hands or not....Damn!! She's not cooking for you so who cares what pans she's cooking in or how often she washes her hands!!

Kim Powell, you are so right! The worn out/in pans cook the best. Just because someone buys those ridiculous priced pot and pans doesn't make the food taste or cook better nor does it make you a better person than the ones who uses their loved and worn pots and pans! Down to earth people are far better hearted than the ones that try to be uppity. Her worn pans just shows that she loves to cook and cooks a lot.

I sent this video to my aunt who complained about her not washing her hands too. I said: she's getting paid from her videos and she's not cooking for me or you so what does it matter. I wash my hands constantly but hey that's me and whoever else. I love her videos!
You're looking at a vanishing art form. Folks don't have the time or skill level to put meals like this together anymore. lisa mesa Pots that have that Teflon coating will start coming off in your food after years of wear and tear. She needs stainless steel pots and pans. They cook your food more evenly.

The comment about white people like black women cooking fattening good is absolutely crazy! My 11 year old daugter and I love watching all types of cooking shows. Why make it a white/black thing??? We would watch Miss SoulfulT regardless of her race.. We love watching because it is obvious she expresses her love towards her family and friends by blessing them with her wonderful meals. Final thought... Are black people racist when they watch white women cooking shows??

For your cold, drink ginger root, lemon and honey, it's kills a cold in a day. Use a normal sized drinking glass. Grate a heaping table spoon of ginger on the finest side of grater, put in your glass, squeeze a whole lemon in and fill the glass with very hot water, let it set for 15-20 minutes then add honey to taste. It's natural and knocks out that cold, I drink it every day it's Good for you. Thanks get better.

This is cooking with love that was handed down through the generations. It's an art that has been lost and forgotten. True soulfood! To those complaining about her pots/pans, have you ever been in a chefs kitchen in a restaurant.....well guess what, most chefs pans/pots look the same way; serving their purpose to cook good good!
I like watching Soulfult. She is her authentic self. There isn’t anything fake about her. She is an an amazing old school southern cook. I gain 10 pounds just watching her cook!

My mother on law's stuffing was the bomb. Homemade biscuits and cornbread tore into pieces, boil turkey giblets, hard boiled eggs. Cook your onion and celery and combine into mix with cut up cooked giblets, cornbread, biscuits, sliced hard boiled eggs, broth from giblets and additional turkey broth. Salt, pepper and sage. Bake.

It’s so strange to me to hear people say that her food is not healthy. It’s perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with the food, perhaps just the indulgence. Her food is healthy guys! So, if that’s a fact then it comes down to portion size and going for seconds. So I’m gonna take a second to educate some of you with these helpful tips. Don’t have seconds, it’ll be there for you tomorrow for lunch. Don’t stretch out your stomach by overeating because it tastes good. It’ll be there for you tomorrow. If you stretch out your stomach you are going to be re-training your nervous system to not feel full and it will cause you to feel hungry and eat more. You have nerve sensors in your stomach that react to the stretching and give your brain signals due to that. There are also hormones that play a role in metabolism too. All of that can get changed. Then you will have to re-train it back to the original. So, for some people this information can be helpful but for some people they are on a journey when it comes to eating and health. So it may take time. Another trick is to play a game of calorie counting. After a while you get the nack of how many calories is in your food and you can plate according to that. So you can look up your BMI chart (body mass index) to get an idea of how many calories you need a day and then work with that, plus or minus because some days you are more or less hungry so eventually it balances. You can use soulful T’s recipes as a guidance and change it up how you’d rather do them saving calories here or there. But do realize your body needs some fat. There are charts you can look up on percentages of fat, protein and carbohydrates that your body needs. Once you learn those, you can plate according to that. Good luck guys on your journey and happy eating and healthy living! You can have your cake and eat it too. Say you want a piece of pie, then you would scale down your dinner and just eat a chicken breast and a vegetable. Checks and balances. Or, just smaller portions. It can be worked out and you don’t miss out.

I agree about the beat up pots. The only thing I wouldn't use the ones with the scratch Teflon and not because of looks. The Teflon leaks into your food and that causes cancer. Other than that, I love me some beat up dishes.

Some people don't like the robust green olive oil that comes out during the first few presses during processing; that's why there's light olive oil which tastes less strong and good for all recipes, but is still olive oil...
Shelley Thomas That's extra virgin olive oil. Best for dips, salads, etc. Yellow olive oil SOMETIMES has other oils added. But usually, it's just virgin olive oil, which is best for cooking.

I am going through all of your videos you are the best cook on TH-cam! I am the cook in my family too and love comparing notes with your recipes to mine. You are giving me great ideas to try out. I always made my collards with beef stock and bacon so I had never seen them done with butter, definitely giving that a try...I fry my smothered chicken so loving his you did that in the oven so much easier!!My mom makes homemade cranberry sauce with wine for the liquid and white sugar for the sweetener and then a dash of Orange juice and orange zest. Seeing that we always have some wine around at Thanksgiving it's an easy recipe...Scallop potatoes i always mixed in a big mix bowl the potatoes, flour, milk and grated cheese then just baked the mixture at 350. It comes out nice but I was really loving the look of yours with that cheese sauce though, I am definitely making that!My green beans i make the same way those are too good! The other way I have made them is chicken broth with lemon pepper, those are good too. Anyway so glad I discovered your channel i am loving all your great ideas!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Real Talk: At 11 mins: When you cut the top off the cheese bag, I said to myself : "But it had a zip seal to recluse the bag. Why cut it? Is she using the whole bag?!" And then I hit a praise break as I watched you put handfuls in that pan. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen!

SOME of those zip seals are a JOKE.The cheese blocks when you DO cut it GOOD LUCK trying to reseal it .I just cut THROUGH the seal & put the rest in those Zip Lock reseal bags.
My suggestion for those of you dont.like her cookware, how about blessing her with some instead of complaining. As far as hand washing, she might be washing more than you think, camera maybe off more than on during that time. This woman is a great cook. I tried her recipes and my family loves them. She is so down to earth and loving.
