Thank you very much! It really depends on what you prefer and what year you are in. In general, I would suggest living in the dorms freshman year and moving out to an apartment sophomore year onwards, which is what most people will do. Hope that helps!

UC Berkeley’s EECS and CS programs are some of the top in the country. Something that differentiates Berkeley from other Ivy League schools is our close proximity to Silicon Valley and the Bay Area tech scene which gives students plenty of exciting opportunities in tech

Thank you! Yes you can check out The Metropolitan at the corner of Durant Avenue and Ellsworth Street. It's only one block away from the UC Berkeley campus and the Channing tennis courts. International House (known as I-House) is another great option for short term stay. Hope this helps :)
