Omg I miss old TVD episodes, especially first season :( This tv series used to make me cry a lot, I remember crying for days when Jenna died and some other terrible events. Current TVD is too much.. Caroline carrying Ric's baby , Enzo and Bonnie.. please.. I miss old perfect scenes, Katherine, Elena burning her home, Jeremy and others finding out who vampires are. That were good days of TVD.
that's why I'm watching them again on Netflix. I've been keeping up with season 8 too but to me season 7 was a bust. I think if anything that's when the series started to really go down hill but season 8 has made up for it

Elena got annoying at the end of season 2... and it never ended. every time she speaks its "I......" shes literally katherine except katherine admitted she was a self-serving bitch and thats why we loved katherine. Elena is the "victim" even when its all her fault that things happened.

When elena turned; stefan was trying everything in his power to save elena from turning (because she absolutely never wanted it) but began to treat her like "a broken toy that needs to be fixed" he wanted her to be okay so badly she couldn't admit that she wasn't. Damon listened to her and took her seriously and even tried to help her with her transition. Instead of understanding Stefan immediately grew jealous and resentful. Also when he left with Klaus before he was so mean to her (for good reason, Klaus had to believe she was dead to keep her safe. Commendable) but did he really expect her to wait for him forever? She moved on thats what happened.

I think all of the fandom feels that way tbh. TVD even started slipping in ratings around S4/S5. I miss old TVD too and episodes like this.
