Nice one....some nice off cuts there for the collection...... 👍 P.s....The Sealy cutter is about £60 but I believe it comes with a no quibble lifetime guarantee , I once had a Draper cutter which was ok for my limited use but I think you would be better off with a sealy which is far better quality.....👍
The one I bought 9 years ago is amazing! However I thought it was made by Sealey. When I received the Sealey cutter I reayit wasn't the same as the one I already owed. I paid £48 for the new one and the result was disappointing. I have no idea who made my original cutter, which is a shame rely coz it's awesome. Once I find out I'll make it known for all to hear!!
you are doing a great job. We install panels in greenhouses and they are 185 alu cables most of the time. What i was wondering is that you have a seperate earthcable. We have the german cables NYCWY or Alupower® (N)A2XCY Dca CE in those cable there the shield is also the earth-conductor and we braed that to a tale and connect to the earth-bar. I am inpreesed by your work. Keep up the good work
Thank you very much. The earth depends on the design calculation as far as I can ascertain. Some cables have one that is the same size, some half and some non at all.
I’ve learned so much watching your videos! Just bought myself an exhaust cutter! Fucking brilliant idea. Always just used a grinder but it’s not ideal if you’re in a tight spot!. And the ratchet strap idea to get the right bend… genius! Will be trying that too! 👍👍👍👍

What happens with the Earths from the banjo's? Do you get given a spec for what size to install and run 1 Earth for each one? Or is it like Earth bonding on domestic where they can be run as one continuous thing?
What do you use holesaw-wise for gland plates. I’ve just started doing some 95 4cores for PV installs and using bi-metal holesaws is a ball ache and the keep gauging the metal
Good electrican you're like how you measure the swa cable with the red plastic thing good idea nothing worse than a swa too big or small for the enclosure
How do you get on with that Mole Grip type pipe cutter?....tried getting one like yours and they sent the mole grip type. It works BUT it's a fricking faff keep adjusting it
Not a whole cable but I did cut a neutral short when I was younger. Luckily I put it on a connection that was closer to the gland and then had to make sure that the cable it was in parallel with was able to reach the lug that was meant for that neutral. If you see what I mean.

Get a battery operated hole punch. Milwaukee make a good one

The mole grip isn't a cutter, it's just a chain. I use it for tightening big glands.

And i thought getting 16mm T&e was hard work to get into position................... I dont envy you but would love to try handling cables that big.
16mm t&e usually go through the loft for the shower don't they. I hate lofts, far too itchy.
What size was the main incomer
The mains were 16 X 1c X 240s I think. Could have been 300mms.
The problem I get with my beard is catching it in the zipper of my jacket and facemasks don't seal properly when core drilling etc.
