Not everyone builds a McMansion for their chickens and goats but you sure are working hard to do that our yours.
It's also going up faster than the TH-cam Yacht saga.

    OKAY!!! Let’s GOat….
Cap’n, that came out rather darn nice! Inspector Hen seemed to be satisfied. I believe I heard her say. “The project was going like Cluck-work!”
I agree with you about using the clutch to stop kickback when drilling through metal. I discovered it by accident a few years ago. If I’d been smarter, I could have saved me from a lifetime of bruised cheeks, skinned shins and especially sprained wrists.
I sent you my grandfathers old welding helmet lenses. Please holler at me when you get them. I’m anxious to hear if they will fit your camera contraption!
Goat-ahead and keep pecking away at this project… it’s eggs-actly splendid!

If I were to suggest one thing. I would say when you are screwing into end-grain ,which I've seen you do number times. Try not to screw straight into the end- grain as it doesn't hold well. Try to angle your screw steep enough angle so it will grab the grain of the wood. Just a suggestion from an old carpenter.

A good way to get marks on things is a tube of lipstick, put it on the bolt then press wood or metal down and it will transfer the mark to the item you need to drill. The building is looking fantastic.

Good day Mike. I’ve used some of that “C” shaped lumber myself. I’ve even run across some good for spiral staircases. You make do with what you have. Lumber prices are going out of sight again sure was smart of you to mill all that up when you had the use of the sawmill. Project looks real good already looking forward to next video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe

It's funny watching you reuse those bolts. My grandfather had a entire bucket of nails he straightened. This was the result of the great depression. People will be doing the same thing now and in the near future. For those that aren't already doing it. I would suggest they start. If you don't think so. Take a good look at what is going on around the world. If you don't start saving things now you'll soon find yourself without. God bless

On setting your posts, just wondering if it would have been better to set the bow towards the inside. It looks like it worked out but, wouldn't it have been easier to shim behind the purlins instead of having to notch out the posts if you would have had to?
Also, not sure where your house sits in relation to the coop but, I hope it has as good a view as the coop does. I think it's already been pointed out about 1,000 times in the comments but that's a heck of an office view.

    • @CaptainKleeman

Needs a few more thumbs up. Goats are master of undoing what you have done. Bored goats will make trouble just to watch you fix things.
A tether ball on a carbineer into an eye bolt through the ceiling is a great goat toy. You can attach a pumpkin and other toys hence the carbineer. Done similar for the chickens using apples and turnips threaded onto a j of wire with a loop at the end.
Cabbages and similar hung from the ceiling are fun for both critters.

I don't know if it makes you feel any better or not but here is the deal. I talk about different ways to weld or wrench but come building... Buddy, your a mile ahead of me! It takes me about a third of the time to build a cummins diesel engine that other mechanics will get mad at me for because mine never fail, run forever. Its a fact jack that if I put up a pallet four by four outhouse, it will list to one side or the other and cave in come winter time. Your ten times the carpenter I wish I could be. Mike, maybe it gets hard for you to understand at first just how to fix a engine... who cares, your goat shed just needs a lamp in one corner that you watch youtube and daffy duck from. I can't build a house but I fix engines and other pieces that make something that runs so I will need you to get something close to a chicken homesite.
