- Here it is - a vlog featuring some prep for Unbound, some in-race footage, and a recap. long vlog for a long race!
Not the usual footage on this one for a few reasons. I was SUPER stressed, hard to get footie when I am doing stuff while carrying 1-2 laptops around. Need to find out how to balance all of this. Also, inrace? I am not Kerry and I don't wear a gopro on my head, and I didn't want one mounted to me all day, so it was hard to pull it out for footage. Harger than you may think.
Honestly, I felt super good with this race, and hopefully it gives me enough confidence to keep doing well~ I moved up into 9th in the lifetime grand prix, so let's keep that up!
You're a friggin' hero man. Congrats and as Ted King said: Every finisher of that race is already a hero. Top ten place in the field of the world's best women is just a mental cherry on top of the cake.

You can rightfully be proud of that performance. Not only for the performance on the race day (against a tough field and in really crazy conditions) but also for getting yourself back to your athletic self. Well done

It's a beautiful day here in Michigan and wish I was riding but got sick so I'm stuck surfing TH-cam. After watching several videos on people's Unbound experiences your video popped up. Your personalty and sense of humor had me laughing out loud! I guess the invite to the Skratch labs house should have given me a clue but apparently you are super fast as well! Congrats on the 6th place finish. No small feat with that field of riders. You guys should come to Michigan in November and do the Iceman Cometh mountain bike race. At only 30 miles you will barely be warmed up but it's a great event - A party with a race thrown in. Good luck with your remaining race season and of course I am now a subscriber to your channel. 👍

Wow, 6 th place among such a large group of outstanding riders is Olympic type stuff! You deserve more than a simple "congratulations" but that's all I got for you at the moment. Epic effort and hope you find a way get your feet to stay comfy on the bike. All the walking through the mud area probably didn't help any. (heard it was about 4 miles)
I think the walking helped?? I have always had foot issues on the bike. I am between shoe sizes - always so. It doesn't help.

Cycling version of an army survival weekend. Guess if you were built like the Hulk you might possibly of been able to shoulder the whole mud section. Maybe the frames need a re design back to the old horizontal top tubes for more carrying space . Well done time was a real good one
I mean, I could have ridden my cyclocross bike, but even then with 2 bottles I couldn't have shouldered it.
