Love this more than the Revzilla videos - your detailed explanations and context comments aren't rushed at all and I like that!

So glad you have posted this, Stadler is a brand most of us don't know about, I bought my Stadler gear 8 years ago and its still 100% waterproof.
The factory will take your gear back after a spill or Rip and fix it or make alterations should you need them!
They also make custom gear and gloves!
Price is as good as the other high end gear but you get a made in Germany Family company! Check it out before you buy something made in Asia. Always check origin when buying goods, it makes the difference !!

Not just the reviews, which are incredibly detailed and a cut above the usual superficial overview. It's the insights on the business and what goes into producing these garments and why things are made the way they are that make this channel special. 👏🏽
    Oh, and Mark, of course.

Hi Chris from Northern Ontario Canada. This review was by far the most detailed review I have ever seen on TH-cam. Well done!

I’ve actually seen a similar sleeve scoop (if not quite as nicely done) on a cheap RS TAICHI textile, and I was super impressed with the idea and baffled why nobody else was doing something like that. Cool to see that Stadler took that sort of concept and refined it further.

Hi Chris, I visited your Guildford Store a couple of years back on a trip from Australia and bought the Stadler supervent jacket and matching pants. I ride very day and agree with pretty much everything you've said about that suit. Personally I don't however find it particularly uncomfortable, maybe because I ride a GSA so I'm not hunched over the bike.
The quilted liner in the jacket works for me in the 'hub' seasons and believe it or not I have a warm and safe jacket and pants that I use in our Winter. My commute home is in the small hours of the morning when it can get down below 5C, factor in some wind chill at expressway speeds and the warm and safe makes for a very comfortable, relaxing ride. The venting in the Supervent is fantastic and I particularly like the double placket however no amount of venting works especially well when our ambient mid afternoon can be above 45C, (I've seen 48!), and I'm in slow moving traffic which is when I typically commute to work. On those days I wear an ice vest under the jacket to keep my core temperature down.
The only area I would improve on the Supervent is the fit of the collar which unless I cinch it particularly tightly to the point of being uncomfortable, allows air to funnel in at the back of my neck. Nice in the summer, not so nice in Winter. In addition, occasionally the velcro closure at the neck is released by the bottom of my helmet rubbing against it as I turn my head to look left/right. I think additional soft padding here would help to compensate for different body shapes and in fact this was the only area where I thought the Rukka Nivala jacket was a better fit for me. I also have the storm collar but to be honest I find it a bit of a faff to close properly, the magnetic stud pops open very easily and I'm tempted to add a velcro patch to make it more secure.
Looking forward to visiting you again when we are allowed to leave 'Fortress Australia'. Great review, keep up the good work!

I am trying to figure out why you (and the customers) don't like the Stadler Quest pants so much. Yes, they are a little more baggy, but that's because there is no termo-layer in there. I also checked your website, but all that says is "There is a matching Treasure Pro pant, but we don’t really like it.". Why do you not like it? What's the reason behind this? For someone looking to spend a fair amount of money, this is some important information.

Hi The Chap 😉 I’m now thinking about getting this instead of Rukka, which I took for my missus from you Guys recently. But…I can’t see it in stock! Surprisingly, the previous model, Supervent3 is still in stock. What’s going on?
Thanks for another nerdy great review. I love them!
Cheers and have a wonderful Xmas! ❄️☃️🏍️🎅🏻

Another well put together review Chris and crew. What would you recommend for someone who is mostly a fair weather weeded rider who wants to be as protected as much as possible both from the road and the typical bad weather but don't want to look like a motorcycle rider off the bike. Looks more like you are out walking the dog than jumping of a cruiser

@@philipjames250 Hi! I really like it! The vents that billow out don't seem to let in as much air as they seemingly should. I rode 3 hours in 88 F (31c) and it was warm when the sun was out. I wouldn't wear it past the 90s. I like the pants as well they do vent well near the shins. I think motolegends gripe is that the hip armor is pretty weak. That's unfortunate at this price but overall I am happy. I hope to post a write up on Reddit when I get the time.

Great review. Your statement that an Adventure Jackets needs to have a removable membrane makes a lot of sense to me. Can you please make a review about the Stadler Superior Active, which has got a removable membrane? And benchmark it to the Treasure Pro?

Chris, on your point that an adventure jacket needs a removable membrane:
My approach is to wear a protector vest and a shirt below the jacket and just take off the jacket when you need all cooling.

    • @Motolegends
      @Motolegends  ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@stocks7765 Initially, we thought it was better than the Supervent, and it did have some neat features, but it didn’t seem to fit people very well, and the shoulders were a bit too ‘Dynasty’ for our liking. We also realised that we missed the more protective qualities of the Supervent. Nothing strange here. You make a video, and express a view. A year or so down the road, things change. We liked the suit when it first came out. Then we fell out of love with it. We sent all our stock back to Stadler, and swapped the jackets for Supervents. In a years’ time, we may have different views. That’s life, I suppose! CP

I hate to tell you this but, no-one cares about your opinion of what a adventure jacket should or shouldn't be. Most people buying these jackets aren't doing the baja races or dakar rally, they're regular riders who just happen to own an adventure bike. Oh, another thing, Klim is pronounced "climb."
