To have quick access to your camera app, move the trailer app out of the the left vertical short cut column and bring your camera app over in it's place.

Was going to suggest the same thing. Did that on my truck and it’s much easier, still would like quicker access.

@@lukedeatley2520 would be great if they had a button for it on the steering wheel

Hold your finger down on the icons to the very left. You can change the order of them and more importantly , drag shortcuts over from your home page.
You can drag your camera shortcut over and then it’s always there when you need it

Great video! I think you forgot about the lack of 12V outlets for your list of dislikes to tell the engineers at GM.

Thanks for the update. I'm just coming up on a year and 13,000 miles on my 24 AT4 3.0L. Your chanel was one of the ones that sold me on the BabyMax GMC, and I haven't been disappointed.
I've had better luck with the infotainment system and GPS than you. Other than having to reboot it once early on due to it locking up I haven’t had any issues. I use the the built in Google navigation but ditched OnStar and use my phones hot spot for my data connection
I did have a recurring CEL for a P2297 code but that was resolved through an ECM update at the dealer and I haven't had any issues since.

    JD,
I want to say thank you for what you do. I appreciate the fact that you spend all the money that you do buying the products that you do in order to do the reviews so that we can make a more informed purchase. While yes, I’m sure that many of the products that you purchase are a business deduction, fact is they still have to be purchased. May you have a wonderful, prosperous and Happy New Year in 2025. Keep up the good work.

If you press and hold the camera icon on the main screen you can drag it to the left so it stays accessible no matter what screen you are in.

I have a 23 GMC SLE & on mine you can drag the camera icon over to the left side of the screen so it’s there permanently. Then it’s just one click to see the camera. I use that feature fairly often to check on my trailer while I’m driving

JD love the vid! as I have the same truck! Hey you can make a hot button of the camera! that will show up on the left side of the screen. just hold the camera icon and drag it left. I dont know if you knew that. the screen is customizable. :)

Had a '23 Denali 1500 and had the same exact issue with the native Google maps. The whole infotainment is kinda slow and laggy. I also don't like that the speedometer and the tach are switched orientation from where they traditionally have always been in every vehicle I have ever owned.

If you hold the camera app on the home menu, you can drag it to the quick access apps on the left side of the screen. Those quick access apps are not fixed, they’re customizable. Hope that makes it less infuriating.

On both my 23 gmc sierra 1500 and my 19 gmc denali 3500 I also have to hold the seat memory button until compilation. But both of the trucks also have a dedicated place for glasses storage. the 19 is over head an the 23 is on top of the dash.

My Silverado memory seat is the same, have to hold the button until the seat and mirrors finish repositioning.

I have a 2016 GMC Canyon with the 4 cylinder in the SLE package. I bought it new and now have 80,000 miles. I have had several big issues. Heater core leaked at 30,000 miles. Dealer had to replace heater core and all of the carpet. That took over 8 weeks. I got a loaner and a payment. Then at 65,000 miles, I started getting a reduced power problems. After spending time in the dealership, it was determined that the oil pump needed replacing at the cost of over $7000. There is a check ball in that pump that would stick. It’s the 2 wheel drive, extended cab. It’s still a good truck. Would I buy it again, not sure.

Would love to see auto dimming large mirrors. My 2500 high country just had the driver side mirror auto dimming. The 1500 High Country just offers rear view mirror dimming.

You can definitely get 4x4 auto in a ford. Just not super duty ford.

On the seats, probably a safety thing, My Mazda, touch button once and it goes to position, BUT, only in park, once you're in drive it doesn't work. What if you're driving and touch the button and it goes to a setting of someone that is 5' and your 6'1", the seat would cram you up into the steering wheel while you're driving, (possible lawsuit). Having to hold it means it probably works while you're driving or in park. Lowering all windows down is handy if you're parked in the summer sun (140*) inside and you want to air it out quickly (my 15 Denali can do that with the key fob, I would think the newer ones can also do that). Rear window auto up is a safety thing for your pet or child that might get their head caught in the window, another (lawsuit).

Sunglass holder drives me nuts too
I got a magnet style one that slides onto my sun visor and your glasses clip into it
Yep thats how the memory seats are. Its odd

Just bought a 25 LZ0 Elevation max trailering and really like it. I disagree with the comment about the lights and 4WD knobs being easy to see. The exterior mirror light button doesn't have an indicator to let you know the lights are even on (accidentally turned them on in the daylight). The steering wheel blocks both knobs as they are mounted to low. Overall, I'm pleased with it, but i think Ford does a better job with ergonomics and space optimization in the F150.

Just picked up the chevy rst max pack. The google is so much better than ice version 2024. Maps are very much on target and guess-o-meter is spot on. Hood is slooped to give a better veiw in front. Towing is a breeze and maitenance is easy. GM hit a home run. Less off road options but not an issue with me. That is for the Hummer.

Thats how the memory seats work in my AT4. Think that's just the way it is. If you unlock with the #1 fob, the seats will go to the #1 position. What about the lack of 12V cigarette lighter type plugs? and I totally agree on seat comfort.

Hello no issues with my Nav, but the GM update causes the music through Apple Car Play to glitch after a phone call. I have to press the cancel button twice for the music to play correctly.

I have a 2020 Denali 3500, the seat memory buttons are the same, very confusing but I suspect it’s an over the top safety function. Where did you get the cushions?

8:36 That auto 4 wheel only comes on the 1500 series. Myself I loved it. On my Chevrolet there is a place for your glasses above the infotaiment center. Maybe Chevrolet is now better than the GMC

In my '08 Suburban (z71), you could just press the memory seat button and things would adjust. In my '17 Yukon XL (Denali), you have to hold the button & it's annoying as all get out! Don't get why GM takes two steps forward & 1 step back with so many things... just like eliminating the adjustable pedals.
