We have the City pedals on our four main bikes and I've never been so happy with a bike accessory. They're among the main things I check on my kids' bikes every morning before school.
how is your experience with slipperiness, especially in wet conditions? the city ones look less brutal on your clothes than the pro with their pins, but they also seem to be mostly made of shiny metal with not really much traction. have you ever missed or thought about a grip pad/tape on the flat middle surface?
$140 is expensive but I love the idea of that extra moving light on the bike. Seems like a solid commuter option for people. Fantastic review as always! Keep up the great work! 👌

I got a 7 year old that rides unicycle.....normally i just tape some glow sticks to her and giver her glow bracelets and so on but this would help night runs be more simple.

Pretty cool. They should send me some to Clydesdale delivery duty test. What about water/moisture, even mild amounts and getting to the USB area, over time? How well are they made for mashing/powering down, heavier riders?
i am wondering if the removable pegs are same size as removable cleats on football and soccer shoes and track shoes. I know that they have different kinds of cleats for different surfaces and people cna screw in artificial turf cleats or rubber leats . If this is true.. then perhaps those pegs could be swapped out with somthing that is less damaging to shoes? Maybe somethng with rubber or a plastic material on them or a dull end instead of a spiked end?
What are your thoughts on using them with a long john (UA family e.g)? The front light would be pretty useless or even distracting while shining against the box I reckon?
Hmm. It may make it glow even more! In theory you could just run one of the lights per pedal and then flip your pedal until its backwards, but that seems like a waste. Is your box shiny?

I ride a Class 3 e-bike in an Urban Jungle. It's dangerous. That's why I'm always on the search to enhance my safety. These pedals can be a real deal solution to make it easier for cars to notice a night time cyclist. I've seen the first edition pedals before and my reaction was that better traction was needed to help me keep my feet on the pedals, when coming across a big bump or pothole at high speeds. This 2.0 version appears to have addressed that issue. To my knowledge, there is nothing else on the market like these pedals. They appear to be very well engineered with a lot of cool features. Besides my quality and powerful aftermarket head and taillights on my bike, I have an impressive taillight built into my helmet. I'm all ready well seen at night. I know that I sound a bit wishy-washy, do I don't need more lights? These pedals are a bit on the pricey side, on the other hand can one put a price on personal safety?
good questions! I think if price is a concern, you could start with something more basic like wheel lights. Personally I'm running helmet light, bikes on e-bike front and rear, and then something on the wheels or pedals to catch attention from the sides.
these look great. they are expensive but so are a lot of other pedals. not to mention accidents will cost way more. i like the design since if a light breaks it can easily be replaced. i will put this on my "to buy" list once fall arrives

What are your regular shoes?
If you dont want the ultra grip nature, I would put grip tape on the normal version

Love this idea and would get them, but I have a tern byb and would lose the ability to quickly remove the left pedal when folded.

How well do they shine in the daytime? I keep my headlight on all day for a little added safety. Are these visible during the day?
