Great to see the other bands performing, but can't tell what division/regiment they are anymore, such a shame what happened to the RCAMUS.
Many of the bands have been amalgamated into one band and now have a new name, as the band in this video, British Army Band Tidworth, which is also a brass band.
The Army brass band is my favourite.😀😃

The new guard were the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers(R.E.M.E) and the old guard were the Grenadier Guards

I wonder if there is someone on here from the army, particularly a military band, who may be able to answer my questions. The corenet player, second to last row in the middle, appears to be an officer, judging by the sword. Is this correct? If it is, does it mean that the drum major, who is usually a senior NCO or warrant officer, is effectively giving music instructions to an officer?
NCOs can carry swords. There are no officers in the band per se. Officers do command the band, but they are rarely out marching. I’m guessing the NCO with the sword is the band master, the most senior skilled musician in the group.

This is the Royal Canadian Artillery. Wings aren’t worn with this uniform. Not a smart question.
