  • George talks to the Governor of the Bank of Canada about the Occupy movement, his roommate who went on into the NHL, the lessons bankers can learn from goalies, and whether he's ever thought of running for public office.

best doc i've seen yet on the banking industry, greed, political corruption, and the global movement by ordinary citizens:
    Meltdown
on Aljazeera online - just go to the site and search.
a CBC production. George, a must watch so you can have Mark back on the show soon and ask some more questions. thanks for asking about the To Big To Fail standard. Paul Martin is in the doc above - maybe have him on to do some explaining.

In the teens? People keep telling me how lucky I am to have a job! Here in NS it's VERY bad. Like a depression, especially in my home town. That white collar keeps him a little blind to what's going on around him. The Harper gov will include Internet jobs, etc. to make statistics look better. The reality is not pretty.

im for the occupations before i get bashed - he was just comparing the two country's and how he understood what was going on and giving some facts on how canada is more responcible with its system.. yeah granted its not perfect.. but is any country? theres always going to be problems.. and to give some info the central bank doesnt have "authority" over what happens to the tax payers money sitting in government. thats our poor leaderships fault
