Im almost done with Selaco and im almost 2/3rds of the way done with Dusk. I think i'll start this next since I won a copy of it last month. At first I was put off by the 'comic book' art style but it's growing on me the more gameplay I watch. I think the visuals were TOO unique and good looking, way different than most of its retro fps peers. Now that i'm adjusting to it, im starting to appreciate this more
I really like Forgive Me Father 1. It's one of my favorite Boomer shooters. That is the only reason I bought the second in early access instead of waiting.
Just in time for Halloween……. Too bad console gamers like myself are left out of this despite the first one coming out on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
@@Jarekthegamingdragon really now? Considering this game runs on Unreal Engine 5 it’ll work on PS5 and Xbox Series X but Nintendo Switch owners will be left in the lurch. And Lord only knows when the Super Nintendo Switch will come out and IF it can support Unreal 5. People who own a PS4 or an Xbox One are shit out of luck.
The game isn't very intensive so that's not clear at all. Even if it was, old consoles get phased out, that's just how it is. You'll have to upgrade eventually, or just play on PC.
Having fun, unique weapons is really a big selling point. I like retro shooters, but it gets boring having the same weapons in like 90% of them. And it's cool that here, you can basically choose whether you want to play with that standard retro shooter arsenal or go....weird with it. I will go weird. That said, the pistol in the first game is one of the best around. Never got old getting headshots with that thing. I also think the lack of any like proper 'sniper' class or whatever makes perfect sense when 95% of the game is in enclosed or shorter range areas. Plus it's lame if you can just sit back and kill everything from afar easily. Make people WORK. And really, much of the challenge of the first game came from not having super open areas for the most part. The limited space environment became one of the main factors in the difficulty. As soon as the game gives you more space, escaping projectiles and melee enemies becomes way easier.
Having range is important, not because you can sit back and snipe, the game doesn't really let you do that, but because of projectile enemies off in random locations that will always be at range.
Because that's how many(most?) people tend to view this kind of 'thick border' artstyle. You could also say 'comic book' style if you wanted to be more accurate.

My first impression is that the animations for the guns are just so good.
"Sorry, daddy Dos" came out of left field and slapped me in the face. Great review
Polish games FTW!
Dude they go so hard. Even beyond the big dogs like CDPR, there is so much talent there rn
You had me at minigun fish.
Lol
The one who made the weapons have a creative brain
Gonna buy this because of this
Jarek, I asked you once, and I'm going to ask you again: will you check out Echo Point Nova?

The art style especially when you're holding the revolver reminds me of call of juarez
Think the term for the animations would be "stop motion"
I love the style of the game its so interesting and me being a fan of doom and other fps hord games ill try it Also bro keep up the great reviews

my man glad you played it
Great Review, Thank You.
Sick!!!
I saw this game on TH-cam Shorts, and it piqued my interest. Kinda surprised there isn't much buzz about it.

Oh stop being a drama queen. It'll release on consoles later just like the first game.

@@Jarekthegamingdragon I already have upgraded. It’s up to the publisher to publish it on other platforms.
Then...why do you care? You can play it.
The graphics, visuals, and animations appear to be in the style of the Spider-verse films.

awesome!
Я не знаю, почему гуманоидный дракон рассказывает мне про лавкратианскую игру, но это прикольно)
I kinda want to get this just to see what kind of nightmarish abominations of guns they have this time around
Jarek ,recently Cultic released what I think it is the full version, will you revisit it someday in the future?
Surprised you know of Lovecraft's work but great video and have you thought of checking out call of Cthulhu dark corners of the earth ?
I guess hand drawn animation is technically pixel art if it's done on a computer.
Will this game come to consoles?
Why have it all on Epic? High is always the better pick for me, rather those extra fps, in a fps
Because this isn't crysis. The game ran 144fps on the highest settings. Why would I lower them?
He's running a 3080, why not?
Does anyone know if the artist is the same Artist that worked on Darkest Dungeon? I love the art but cannot find a name. Thank you
When I stream it, I have always described the art as cell shaded. Im not sure why I relate it that way.

Is this coming for consoles this looks amazing i wanna play this so bad
And now I wonder, will there ever again be a non-sponsored review on this chamnel.
(originally posted under the wrong video, oops)
I literally just posted a non sponsored review yesterday.
Minigun fish. Finigun.
Yet you didn't tell the main thing about this game. Does it have FOV slider?
It does
