he does intend to improve and refine the game, taking in people's suggestions and criticisms, and also said he plans to rework cutscenes and voice acting (will probably be just russian still but who knows)
May indeed be so. But don't be mislead by all the drummed up laurels: the way it is now, the game actually plays nothing like Half-Life, and outside the visual aspect of it - there is a lot of improvement needed. A lot. Cause right now it's like a step-child of Doom3 and a corpse.

This game was inspired by Half-Life so much that it literally uses Nova Prospekt soundscape for the research facility (complete with distant antlion and HL2 zombie sounds) and a bit of Anticitizen One/Follow Freeman soundscapes for city levels
I can definitely understand the frustration, it isn't perfect, and wow, the A.I. is very simple. But I actually have fewer issues. I feel saying this game is closer to a "Huntdown the Freeman" experience is kind of a damaging label. It is nowhere near that bad, technically, on a design level, and the story doesn't make me cringe. *EDIT* I reached the end. I understand your pain. I'd compare it to STALKER if everyone's weapons worked really really well. It is a pain. The only thing I will argue for is the "regenerative healing". Vlad mentions to his friend earlier than meeting Grandpa that he had this ability after the accident. And it is meant to "explain" why the player character can tank so, so much damage. As you'd probably note, the guy is wearing a sweater. No armor or H.E.V. suit here. And you constantly take hits, while having to be on the move, while picking up resources that drop/you find. This tankiness is so unusual that, as well as arguably causing the events of the game, the authorities consider Vlad a Freeman-level target. So, rather than having an actual "health regen", it is more explaining the video game logic. Also, how'd you feel playing the train station level 😂? It felt like an act of terrorism with all those people around, although you have to question the authority of a military police force that wouldn't help evacuate citizens. Oh, and yeah, I did just get to the "Return to City" levels, and it does seem FILLED with enemies.

But it's such a good one that I don't understand why games can't figure out.. actually a lot of this looks like half-life 2 s mod inspired, which is the best half-life 2 inspiration.. hopefully that inspiration goes as far as a functional developers console so you can remind the controls... I really like what I've played of this shooter, although I'm not fond of weapon switching being tied to only a selection menu. Although that might be resolved soon as weapon bindings is coming in the next update. I just hope it doesn't follow in Half-Life 2's weapon bucket system for controllers/steam input, because the weapon selection menu looks pretty similar to it.
The AK has its role, maybe not if you use mouse and keyboard though. When I play I max out headbob and camera lag to make it more cinematic. The AK has a MUCH different feel to the other gun. There is a lot to this game you miss in the gameplay if you dont use all those extra options imo. Though further adding more diversity to the guns is ALWAYS a plus if they can patch it to feel more diverse im down!
I think I heard you talk about subgenre called "Half Likes" in your boomer shooter video. Will you make a video making a tier list about all Half Life shooters? I really want a nice list to collect those Half Like games 😅

It's janky but it's very very fun to play, congrats to the solo dev ! Hope to have updates to enhance the game =)
7:20 the way he dies xD
10:16 This action music goes incredibly hard and yet I cannot find it in the OST.
I think they messed up because it says disc 1 but there's only 1 disc in the ost
Ты ещё русского ведьмака не видел :)
Это такой пиздец
This mod or game is literally "Beta Half-Life" with russian style. And I love it.
Ahh a typical Monday morning in the motherland
i actually found this game pretty hard ngl haha
GAMES fun regardless
The weapon wheel thing is so true, I hate those
The AK has its role, maybe not if you use mouse and keyboard though.

It like the motro games and half life had a mutation in birth
3:01 didn't doom have a weapon wheel?
You're not forced to use it on PC
“Call of Slav Life”
I think I heard you talk about subgenre called "Half Likes" in your boomer shooter video.
Will you make a video making a tier list about all Half Life shooters?
I really want a nice list to collect those Half Like games 😅
I did make a video in the past recommending half-likes to play but it might be due for an update.
@@Jarekthegamingdragon Yep, it would be nice to see an updated version, to make sure we don't miss any good Half Likes 😅

This has been fixed. Hotkeys have been added.
is it possible to remove the camera shaking while moving and shooting?
If you like Russian Half life 2, you'll like Eastern European Quake: _"Hrot"_
Also reminds me of FEAR
