When I traveled to Paris some years ago, I bought the Sportura SLQ023 from an AD. It caught my eye because it's such an iconic limited edition piece, but I have a smaller wrist. That's why I find this video very handy. As a collector, I make profits from watches, so I will do my research and find out how much she is worth. I might buy the SRPK29 for my small wrist.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $32million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $32m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.
As someone with a 7" wrist, I really appreciate this video. Good choices, I think. But I also agree that it's slightly amusing that you couldn't borrow a friend with a smaller wrist size to model for you. Would really love to see a smaller wrist demo big watches, as @TheNeybor suggested, lmao.
Nice picks. I wear a 40mm on my 17cm in diameter wrist. Sits just a little big, but with the lose fit doesnt seem odd. At the end of the day its all about feeling good with it
still so many watch brands (mostly the big names) who refuse to list lug to lug distance/height, and just a case diameter. alot of micros will list these details.
Yeah, the wrist is wrong here, probably would be better to demonstrate it on women's wrist (no offense, I have 6.1" too), and friendly reminder for all small-wristers - as in video mentioned - lug to lug is WAY more important than diameter.
Good selection. Watches that I own include: Certina DS action diver 38mm; Hamilton jazzmaster 34mm ( on sites sometimes as ' ladies' watch but it isn’t- 90% brushed ); Seiko 5 - snxs , snkl - old, new stock versins ( creation watches); Dan Henry 1962 ; Seiko SBTR027; CW c63 36mm - wears more 38mm on its bracelet; smaller on a strap.
For a field watch designed for military use, having lume that lasts a long time might actually be a disadvantage. Night vision goggles (NVGs) can easily pick up even subtle light emissions, which could be a problem. There’s a video on TH-cam that tests this if you’re interested in checking it out.
I like the nomos, but to get that in the 38mm, the numbers are The colors of the Miami dolphins almost :-). By the way, you can get that one that you just show there with the exhibition case back for an additional $300. So that watch would be $1,800 with the movement exposed
Thank you for making this video! There were some interesting selections on here, but I'd say two for each category is just too few. I know you want to keep the video relatively short, but I think doubling the number of watches and talking about each one a bit less would be quite valuable to your viewers. And, yes, that's too big of a wrist for a video that mentions "smaller wrists" right in the title. Also, in no world is 40mm considered small, but you did do a good job coming in under that number. The magic number is 38mm diameter for future videos. Not sure about lug-to-lug measurements, but I suspect somewhere around 45mm would the upper end there. I'm looking forward to your next video on the topic.
The khaki field aviation comes with mineral glass, not sapphire . It’s always boggled my mind that that watch only comes with mineral glass for how much they charge for that watch. It’s the one thing holding me back from getting it because I love the way it looks.
Great video as always guys! Definitely think the Oceanguard GMT would be right at home on your wrist here! Hope all is well on your end and again, great video!
Idk how you would call 37 - 40.5 small . Would say small is 32 - 37 depending on the wrist . However solid watches from your pick . Also the timex expedition is more like a gg-w-113 inspired.
eh i would say by modern standards mens watches only really go as small as 35. but yeah i would agree anything north of 38 is crossing into midsize territory. i have 6.5-6.75 wrists and find 39-40 about as big as i can go without feeling silly
1:06 PLEASE don’t ever fold a Reverso like that! It’s supposed to slide in like you slide it out, otherwise it just ends up folding as it wishes, due to the mechanism wearing out.
Nomos irritates me. So many positive things going for them by they RUIN it with those ridiculous huge lugs which make many of their most interesting pieces unwearable for 6.5 inch wrists.
Well made and informative video. Minor feedback, you missed an opportunity to ask a lady to help you model these as the video lends itself to needing a smaller wrist. An attractive women's wrists would likely have gotten you more clicks.
For the video on large watches, demonstrate them on a 5.5in wrist.
Lmfao
Brilliant. Hahaha.
Hey, 5.5 inches is plenty large 😤
Same problem 😅
My man strapped some postage stamps to his wrist to model for us.
Good thing these smaller watches are shown on a bear paw
wahahahah 😂
xD

Sure it's all about DCA, could you please share her name with me or any details so I can look her up online? Thanks!
She is well known as - Diana Leayani Lara. please do your own research.
I have a 5.8in wrist. I volunteer as tribute and model on your next video for larger watches. 🧐

man as someone with a 5.8" wrist i thought 7" was considered large lol

Most big name watches get sold physically
Seiko had it for long time.
Yeah, the wrist is wrong here, probably would be better to demonstrate it on women's wrist (no offense, I have 6.1" too), and friendly reminder for all small-wristers - as in video mentioned - lug to lug is WAY more important than diameter.
Timex watches are truly beautiful, surpassing their price range.
Good selection.
Watches that I own include:
Certina DS action diver 38mm;
Hamilton jazzmaster 34mm ( on sites sometimes as ' ladies' watch but it isn’t- 90% brushed );
Seiko 5 - snxs , snkl - old, new stock versins ( creation watches);

Seiko SBTR027;
CW c63 36mm - wears more 38mm on its bracelet; smaller on a strap.
Love the JLC. But that Timex Marlin looks pretty darn nice too.
The Longines’ lug to lug wears too large even at 37mm. You need at least a 6.5in wrist to make that work.

A great explanation of awesome watches from a regular guy!
New subscriber! 👍

The Nomos is also available with a see-through sapphire crystal caseback for an extra 300 Euros or so
Timex marlin is such a beautiful piece
Longines spirit ❤
You can pay an extra $250 for a sapphire case back on the 36mm Nomos. Nice video!
For the Tmex Expedition North Field Solar; Is it just me or are the "Red" details mentioned actually more like Orange? Great review btw.
Great video as always guys! Definitely think the Oceanguard GMT would be right at home on your wrist here! Hope all is well on your end and again, great video!
i think we have to define small wrist. most of the watches mentioned here are big for my 5.8 inch wrist considering lug to lug.
That Timex Expedition is the best of the bunch.
can you suggest one with a blue dial?
Idk how you would call 37 - 40.5 small . Would say small is 32 - 37 depending on the wrist . However solid watches from your pick . Also the timex expedition is more like a gg-w-113 inspired.

This is a nice list. I have the timex 36mm expedition north solar. Very nice dial but the lume is not that great.
As an owner of a small wrist(6ish inches) I have to say that choice of a short strap is so much more difficult than small watch
The Longines Spirit would be my perfect watch if it had a screw down crown with some decent water resistance.
Tudor Black bay 54 should be in this list!
Loved it, great video!
how long solar and automatic watch
Excellent selection
Is it me, or part of the Seiko SRPK29 date wheel is lumed as well???
suuper video
thanks for doing this.
one (or two:) price levels higher would be nice as well
Am I tripping or did the Timex have a 2 second interval on the second hand?
It’s low on battery charge, that’s usually an indicator on most quartz solar watches that the battery needs some sunlight 😊
this guys thumbs are thicker than my wrist.
I like that Lorier Falcon but they are hard to come by, It is always out of stock,
The Lorier Falcon is quite expensive at $499, especially considering it doesn't offer much.
Many people love the falcon, and keep in mind a microbrand cant mass produce and cut costs like the larger brands (which you can argue are gouging)
What’s the strap for the JCL Reverso?
Fagliano Collection Grey (calfskin leather).
Picking the Hamilton as a watch for small wrists. Hmm
What's the wrist size did the demonstration in the video?
Just under 8”
Amusing how the timex destroys the premiums in actually keeping the time and reading it.
What is going on with the second hand on that Timex?
Low battery alert. It has a solar powered quartz movement.
We need ID on the strap the Reverso was on.
that timex needs more sun exposure, see how the second hand jumps two seconds at a time, it's in energy saving mode
Your wrist is not small.
Why no love for the Rolex Explorer 36?
That pilot pioneer have mineral glass not saphire.
Good stuff. TY
Kindly do the review of SEIKO SPB 453 SIR❤😊
1:06 PLEASE don’t ever fold a Reverso like that! It’s supposed to slide in like you slide it out, otherwise it just ends up folding as it wishes, due to the mechanism wearing out.
Great! btw what us your wrist size?
Thanks! A little on the larger size at just under 8”
As said several times, 8 inches...
JLC dealer should have taught you how to flip a reverso before letting you do it on video
the Hamilton's lug to lug is just confusing. Why is it so long for no reason
The Love that Explorier
love my marlin
That Zenith Defy doesn't look like a 37 😲
Yes yes yes
the Timex marlin numbers really bothers me. Looks like Comic sans.
I thought the Hamilton khaki pilot pioneer had acrylic crystal.
It does
@@TheWatchDoggg
It doesn’t, it’s mineral crystal.
The approx prices of each watch would be helpful
All prices are in the description 👍
Thank you. That saves time looking up watches rhat I'd need to win lotto to consider
nice
Needs to be renamed to - "10 Classy Watches at every price point"
NOT ONE OF THESE ARE FOR SMALL WRISTS. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE KIDDING?
There is Nomos Club 703.1, which is the 701.1, but with saphire glass back. This fixes the critique :)
Why was that Timex ticking irregularly? like.... tac tac...pause....tac tac....pause
Nomos irritates me. So many positive things going for them by they RUIN it with those ridiculous huge lugs which make many of their most interesting pieces unwearable for 6.5 inch wrists.
Cases for (sun) glases would be interesting,,,,
5:28 detik timex jalan 2 kali
You called the orange hour accents red? Really?
Damn that Zenith is a banger i've never seen it before
Edit: It's almost 8k... wtf..pass
i think these are normal sized...
Skinny gang
That’s not how you flip the reverso. Cringing each time you close the case. Can already see the damage on the case 😂
These watches are too big
Intend your pun!
Well made and informative video. Minor feedback, you missed an opportunity to ask a lady to help you model these as the video lends itself to needing a smaller wrist. An attractive women's wrists would likely have gotten you more clicks.
Watch nerds don't watch videos for women's wrists. But I agree a smaller wrist would have been good
NO LARGER THAN 40mm...... :/
슬슬 작은 구경 시계로 트렌드변경될려고 떡밥푸네
lol wtf showing them on some cave troll's wrist.
You talk a bit too slowly, the guy from the farmer's auction down the street talks faster than you. Can you beat him?
