How to Make Khao Lang Feun Full Step by Step Recipe Tutorial Lao Iu Mien Food Hmong Laos Kao Leng

The Final step to make KLF | Khao Laeng Feun | Kao Leng Fen is the Fermented Bean Paste is Crucial.
They are available at few Hmong, Lao, Thai, and Iu Mien Supermarkets. Mine is from Aunty Jenny @jensaewhat from @kasoyco
For those who never had this, the Flavors are Tangy, Sour from the Tamarind. Savory and Pungent from the Fermented Bean Paste (Tua Nao). Acidic from the Tomatoes.
The KLF Jellies texture is Soft and Bouncy like Silken Tofu. The Broth is Spicy from the Roasted Tomatoes, Garlic, and Chilies 🌶. Umami & Pungent 😋
Recipe:
KLF Jellies
1/2 Bag of Rice Flour or 8oz
1/4 Cup of Tapioca Starch
1/4 Cup of Mung Bean Starch (optional)
3 Cups White Lime Stone Water (Clear Water Portion).
Broth
3 Hibiscus Flower
Desired amount of Water ( I used 3 1/2 Cups).
2.5 Oz of Wet Tamarind.
Pepper Sauce
Desired Amount of Roasted Tomatoes 🍅, Garlic 🧄, and Chilies 🌶🔥, and Tou Nao (Fermented Bean Paste).
Adjust to taste.

One of my favorite dishes. My aunties and grandparents used to make this for me all the time as a kid. I remember the one time I made it myself as a teenager realizing, you really gotta love someone if you want to finish making this dish well… 😂
