  • Hypersonic flight is the next big leap in aviation, offering speeds faster than the speed of sound and leaving no trace behind other than a loud bang. Imagine cutting a flight from New York to London down to just ninety minutes! While companies like Hermeus are pushing the boundaries of what's possible, in a surprising twist Elon Musk’s SpaceX is rumored to be working on a top-secret project that could revolutionize hypersonic travel. With Musk's track record of turning ambitious ideas into reality, could his latest venture be the breakthrough we’ve been waiting for? What does this mean for the future of air travel and global connectivity?

I think a physics intervention is needed here. Last I knew, nobody has harnessed the power of a super massive black hole for use in a commercial aircraft.

0:56: "Defies the speed of light"?? Have you passed nursery school physics?

No way they reach the speed of light, speed of sound, maybe.

Because obviously they changed the hour to have 90 minutes in it. I don't remember hearing about it either but it must've happened if this guy said it.

But at what cost to the people working on it?

I love making nay sayers into fools. Real engineers developed the Blackbird and did with a SLIDE RULE and the same types of fools were saying it could not be done. They did it. I have little doubt these good engineers are doing things you never thought about. Combination engines are just a start. Transition is a key but with improvements. I believe they can do it with cooling technology improvements. I will be very satisfied when the nay sayers are shut up in embarrassment with this new technologies.

I'm old enough to remember when Elon Musk told us he would put people on Mars...by 2022. He promised that in 2017. I'll stick with being a nay-sayer while I watch Musk's fan boys throw away their money betting on a con-man.

I think Mr musk should give Donald Trump Jr a job that he's capable of cleaning toilets 🚻 at one of his businesses since they are good friends 😉 and as a bonus for Trump toss in two happy meals a week 😊
