@@nozukagirls what’s your point. You can be friends with someone and still call them out on there bullshit. It’s called keeping it real with your friends.

@Lily Rose I agree. Imagine she hoped that before her daughter was born that she would look more like her than Adam so she would look more black than white.
@Lily Rose Exactly! I think people forget sometimes that Tamera has a white dad too. I mean clearly they will have white influence in them. It's only natural. Once she said she never watched friends because of the lack of black presence on the show.
The Kardashian-Jenner family engages in racism and prejudice themselves. They surround themselves with black people who will make them look better or enable their behavior. Most of them won't say anything even if they think it's wrong.
This whole situation is what’s wrong with American complaining about commercials won’t end racism either. It’s superficial lip service using disadvantaged communities for profit because that’s this shows only motive money. Truly disgusting.
This whole commercial as a whole... seem like they tried to put out a message that although I loved what they were attempting to do... it just didn’t stick! I don’t know who the hell thought “ hey let’s try to put a positive spin on something that is a symbolization of unity for our country” and the thing they come up with... is PEPSI?!?! I dont understand how a Pepsi can end racism or make people think " YEAH THIS WILL BE A GREAT WAY TO KEEP THE COUNTRY TOGETHER" like please stop with the bull!
Pepsi might have tried to do it because they want people to talk about it .. so the issues and Peace helps us come together and talk and try to change issues..

Basically, even though the ad had people from different backgrounds, the ad is ultimately selling a product, in this case it’s a can of soda. The type of product that Pepsi is selling is so different and irrelevant from the issue of fighting for equal rights and protesting. The reason many people got offended is because the ad didn’t capture the spirit of protesting, it was like a hollow shell. It had all the essential “characters” such as protesters and police officers but it attributed ending racial tensions and resolving racism to soda. And for people who have personally experienced inequality and/or going to a protest, it’s so much more intense in real life, and it’s almost insulting to imply drinking soda will fix the serious issue of social/racial inequity. In my personal opinion, if they really wanted to incorporate the importance of protesting they should’ve just agreed to donate a certain amount of money from each purchase of Pepsi to BLM or another social justice oriented movement of their choice. Cause another problem people had with the ad is the ethical issue of trying to profit off of the spirit of protesting. Unless the corporation is actively advocating for these issues, what’s the real motive behind using the idea of protests to advertise a soda? The ad makes Pepsi appear to be trying to generate more revenue through the IMAGE of protesting rather than truly ADVOCATING for equal rights.
