The funniest part of this is Kendall claiming that she cooks in that kitchen. Girl, we have seen you use a knife.
That said, her house is the only one I would ever actually live in.

Sidenote: We don't put art over the bed in California due to earthquakes. It's a good way to get hurt or die in the middle of the night. I agree, I was a bit surprised by the decor of her house. It doesn't seem to fit her vibe.
I narrowly escaped disaster during the Northridge quake. For some reason, I was restless and slept on the sofa that night and it hit very early morning. My bed had the art above it on the bed, the tv on the opposite wall, a lamp and the shattered shards of glass from the bulbs in my vanity all on the bed. I would have been hurt for sure had I been in there. It was my first big quake since I'd arrived in CA so I learned after that how to protect myself. lol So, I'd guess that's why there's no art above the bed.
I don't live in CA, but was thinking the same thing. Years ago I'd heard or read about it being a safety issue in case of an earthquake. Makes sense.
You are so wise to be cautious! After an entire lifetime in California we recently moved out of state. The earthquake mentality is ingrained. Even though they don’t happen here I still push things back on the shelves and feel sketchy about hanging glass or heavy pictures over the bed. It’s definitely a thing.
I have a large unframed canvas painting over my bed so no earthquake worries. Pinned to the wall and looks great.
California born and raised and we do art above the bed but you earthquake proof your furniture and decor. I’ve survived MANY major earthquakes!
You are right, I live in Mexico and I would never put a painting nor a mirror over my bed.

When I first started as a hairstylist, just out of beauty school, my first boss told me if you give the customer what they NEED you'll be successful but if you give the customer what they WANT, you'll be a millionaire. I feel like you can't impose too much of your own taste onto a client. They know what they want and you just have to make it work for them.
Her home is so much better than Kim's beige mausoleum :D I actually hate matchy matchy everything, so I love all the different chairs around the dining table. Cant stand marble, so would never have that in my home.

You need a spurty fountain in a courtyard. The water cools the air. You open the rooms onto the courtyard. Grew up with that architecture, miss it, would love it.
Yes, I suspect it probably wasn't working. There is usually a small jet or bubbler in the center, then it spills over the sides so you have some vertical element and calming sound.

The downstairs clothing area was for samples and packing. She gets a lot of samples that come on racks from her stylist and she picks from them what she wants to wear or take on a trip. She gets compensated for wearing certain designers because every time she wears something, it sells a ton for the designer. So that's what that other area was. She doesn't actually own those clothes per se, what she doesn't want to wear just goes back.

I noticed that someone was at pains to stack books all over the place.. Kendall clearly wants to give the impression that she is a big reader, and I'm not saying she is lying, but.... I would expect her to become more articulate, if she really is reading all those books...
I feel like the stone sink in the bathroom would snag materials very easily. Leaning against it would be a nightmare.
What is important is that she is happy with her house ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love your content and commentary but the clips of the home were too quick! Can you make them longer and consider leaving up a photo as you discuss? I kept having to rewind because I was missing the clips.
I JUST left a comment basically saying that I clicked on this video because I wanted to see Ms. Jenner's home. Not the narrator. Too much of him and not enough of the home.

This is the first of these celebrity AD tours where I could see myself living in the house. I hate certain parts (that sink is a nightmare and I’m not huge into farmhouse), but the house feels like a house instead of a photo spread.
I will give it that, it was the first AD tour that was very homey and lived in

I don’t know that it does. It’s a very vintage inspired look…like you would see this in the 60s/70s which is Gucci’s MO.
I don't like the farmhouse style per se, but at least it looks homely., I guess? I like the hallway, here in Chile traditional country houses (inherited from Spain of course) - have those, with windows on both sides and they're so nice and cool during the summer. But the gold hot tub is HORRIBLE, lol

I actually love how Kendall's house actually feels homey unlike most of her family's homes. I also think it reflects her vibe really well if you've ever really watched the show - Kendall is very much a homebody and has a lot of anxiety, so the cozier, less modern aesthetic fits her IMO.
I will give her that. It’s one of the first and only celebrity homes that I’ve seen that actually looks and FEELS lived in 🥰

I think her home is very well put together and creative , I’m also an interior designer and antiques dealer I’ve been into antiques since I was like 8 I’m 43 now so as far as you thinking it’s “ strange” for her to like old things but wear new expensive clothes Is hilarious to me I mean should she be wearing an old Muu muu like Mrs Ropper on threes company 😆? I believe your home whether your a millionaire or a regular person should reflect what YOU love and brings you joy , ohhh and I thought her closet was cool, very colorful and spacious and I’m sure not her only one, all in all I’d give her an 8 outta 10, but here’s my little critique what’s up with that enormous teal zebra 🦓 stripped chair you sat in ? The sink looks like the troughs my grandparents have in their rural farm in Belgium for the horses and cattle to drink water from. They have an old fashion well that they pump the water into a similar-looking one, but much bigger. Some designer must have sold her on ideas of what is "cool" to have and she said OK to everything. Now the house is just a mishmash of different things that may be expensive, but just somehow do not give you a cohesive look or feel. I think she can use your help to get it together.

I like Kendall’s House because it’s what she likes and that’s what a persons house should be. Who cares if someone else doesn’t like it, they don’t live in it.

At least her house looks like someone lives there (i mean, she has lights, unlike Kim's white nightmare), but I agree it looks like it's a bunch styles mixed together that don't look that great individually and as an ensemble.
Can you imagine sitting in those old rickety chairs in the dining room for a nice meal?

I love the house. 1920's Spanish Revival is my favorite style of architecture. I like the curved archways, use of wood, metals and stone, all the built in details, a courtyard always and the integration of the outside space with the inside... Nice house.

Maybe it's just close to a parking area so they have to do less toting of stuff in and out. I would actually prefer not to walk thru someone's entire home to do a service in one room.
Agreed on a house with a courtyard DD. . . in a perfect world I'd be wealthy instead of good looking and would have a house with an interior courtyard. Instead since I have beer dreams on a tapwater budget I'll have to make do with my veranda. But on a different topic . . . your set! I love how the camera kept pulling back to show the magic! and that chair! looks like something I'd have to fight the cat for to sit in. ;)

She can have anything she wants, and she grew up in very luxurious homes. She's showing us that she wants opposite of that, a more lived in look, but at anytime she could change everything and do the whole decorator showhouse thing. Makes me like her more.
I love the hanging rack with the copper pans, I keep my copper pans shinning beautifully with the help of Bar keepers cleanser, you dont sweat trying to clean that copper.
Living room is just too cluttered and furniture pieces look cheap. I like the powder room. There are some nice details and some bad ones. Biggest issue is the overall inconsistency of the design throughout the house.

I hate it when books look like they're staged, color blocked, or covered so that the titles don't even show. Just silly. Why have them? They're like plastic surgery gone wrong. Everyone knows that "work has been done" when the look doesn't make sense. Same thing with the artist brushes. Just not a fan of this place in general.

I inherited my dining set, handed down from my great grandmother (who passed before I was born). I am familially contractually required (says Mom) to keep it as long as I'm in the US. Thank goodness great grandma had good taste. For some reason I've seen designers stating that the chairs and tables should not match, which I think is weird. Non-matching is for my tableware and art (oil painting and Chinese painted scrolls).

You couldn’t even get her name right. I like the fact that she designed her house in a way that it appealed to her without being pretentious.

By all means, I'm not an interior designer. But I am an artist myself. And I just don't get how celebrities and people with money put these worn out looking oriental rugs on their floors. To me it just brings the whole room or hallway down.
I don’t think it’s Kendall building a home next to her mother, I’m pretty sure it’s Khloe. I mean I guess Kendall could build one on the other side of her mother’s home but I think she likes a bit more space between her and her momager or whatever Kris calls herself.

This home speaks volumes, I think it is an honest reflection of her, empty, confused, insecure, scattered and bland…. It’s truly 100% boring …. I’m actually shocked how this was ever filmed. The only beautiful piece is the Italian door. Nothing works, all directed and shallow. Brutal….

I don't think that Kendall Jenner will use any of the copper pots that are hanging in her kitchen. Pretty much nobody needs 20 little copper pots, they are only decoration. Maybe Jenner has a teflon pan in a drawer. Maybe she never cooks. The kitchen makes her want to cook. That doesn't mean that she actually did it.
I mean, when they have that kind of money. I bet she doesn’t even use it…. We’ve all seen the cucumber videos 🤣🤣
My favorite part of this house was the hallway flanked by French doors letting in natural light. It reminded me of Meryl Streep and Alec Balwin changing a light bulb in the film It's Complicated. Right?

I think Kendall wants to be that old soul type of girl. I remember when I used to watch the show (before things got too crazy) and Kendall was very into the whole grandpa-chic thing before it began it's renaissance. But Kendall is just as greedy for fame as the rest if her family unfortunately so even when trying to have a personality it's warped by the family ethos of generic pop culture 😬

I love layering rugs, but
1. It doesn't work in her dining room, either the rugs together or in the space at all. It's too casual.
2. The "warmth" she claims it brings could have instead been created by bringing in a set of matching upholstered chairs.

Showing more of the house with voiceover or Picture in Picture in the corner would be ideal, rather than the back and forth to person talking, imo.
It's not like I'm a fan of Kardashians lol))) But In one of the interviews she was saying I'm dreaming about moving to some farm and cuddling with animals, so no wonder she chose that farm style... And also she's the quietest and closed among the sisters, so I think it really matches her personality, not staged imho

Forget the UP chair, if you say so, it is. Did you see the chainsaw chair next to her gold bathtub? I get the concept of tension through contrast, but that just does not work. It doesn't evoke interest.

With those 300 year old church doors next to the PINK neon inspiration script, I gave up completely.
I honestly believe she had NO design group do this house, she probably did it. I do not see any cohesive design intent. NONE. It is disjointed as a whole. No self-respecting designer would put their name on that. Isn't the idea of design to meld all these elements? Is this half-a$$ed "Avant-guarde"?

Living in California, there is one thing that most do not do, and that is too hang something on the wall behind your bed & that's because of earthquakes. Of course you can make sure and double bolt & secure it to make sure it wont fall, but just for my peace of mind, I myself don't have anything hanging behind my bed.

I dislike how she never named her designer, I’ve seen a lot of these like Sofia Vergara’s where they are constantly naming their designer, architect, the artists for the art, etc. Kendall felt very distant from her home.

A lot of beautiful ideas mixed in with terrible ideas. I loved the courtyard and the public rooms of the house. But that bedroom … yuck. That bathroom … uchh. That hideous chair in the bedroom with the tv over that nasty fireplace.
