      Moonbeam was talking about smart people in Ca's gooberment, but if there were any they wouldn't be crying about the flood leaving the state!
      Pretty soon Ca will be broke because socialists need to steal money from somewhere and that well will be dry.
      They'll try to sell the state back to Mexico thinking they can stay in power but Mexico will kick their asses out and where will they go? No one will hire them except for another failing democratically run loser state or maybe even Detroit thinking the same ideals from elsewhere will work!
      Keep beating your heads on the same wall there Moonbeam. You might break through and find those working braincells you lost, moron!

      Anyone who moves from the people’s republic of California to America needs to leave their sanctuary city, open borders, welfare state cultural marxist SJW antifa bullshit behind or they will make themselves very unwelcome wherever they go. There are many states that have seen a lot of transplants from mexifornia and the natives of those states don’t want their states turned into a libtard paradise.

    So now here we are 4 years later. Toyota has completed building a new small city in Plano Texas. So many people both current and new moved there and bought new homes.
    They came from Michigan, Kentucky and most of all California and the only argument put fourth was, well we don't have tornadoes in California. Stupid is as stupid does.

    This is huge, and sad. Toyota's presence in California goes back many years, to the 1960s. When Toyota first looked at selling cars in the U.S., they checked out road conditions in California as their benchmark, and California car culture and drivers as their judges on what Americans wanted in a car. In the 1970s, California welcomed Toyota and other Japanese carmakers, like Datsun (Nissan,) and Toyota set up their TRD off road and truck design groups there to check out the Baja races in the early 1980s and gain information on how to design their (excellent) light trucks. Someone in my family has a 2004 California-built Tacoma truck, still running and still a neat truck. They build good cars in California. I am sure Toyota can build them well in Texas, but I feel bad for the workers who have to either move or look for other work, they build great stuff in California. The California state government pulling that stunt with hiking taxes to cancel out the Federal tax cuts was probably part of it, just very short-sighted. I just feel terrible for the workers who built one heck of a truck.

      This is the headquarter for US Toyota. Manufacturing wasn't in California.

    • @fjb4932
      @fjb4932 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      David Powell. Don't feel sorry for the workers. They are white collar ( intelligent, hard working ), make good money ( meaning they pay high taxes ), and I would hesitate to say 50-75 % were probably looking to quit and move out of Kalifornification anyway.
      Topic at every coffee break and meeting might of been about how a person could move out of state yet keep their job. Collectively they realized moving the company was the way to go. Done deal. All happy. Only surprised Gov. Brownie did not at least attempt to seize their assets as a penalty and a warning to other companies planning to leave. Soon Kalifornia may build a wall, not to keep others out, but to prevent IT'S people from escaping. A word to the wise. A stitch in time...

  • @kitsinu1

    The time to fix this was before the problem started. Getting those businesses back will take decades or longer. Middle class and blue collar jobs are leaving with middle class and blue collar workers following.
    You get what you pay for? Yes, and that is why it is why these companies are paying to leave. It is worth it.

  • @robertpolkamp
    @robertpolkamp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    You should do a report on the trucking industry in California. Not only are perhaps as many as 50% of the US trucks outright banned from entering California, now local companies are required to pay their drivers hourly instead of percentage or by the mile as is customary throughout the rest of America. Freight rates to and out of California are at least 20% higher because these excessive regulations creating and perpetuating hyperinflation there.

    It is not unusual for companies to flee tax states. I live in an area that took a worse beating during the 70's and 80's. Eastern Pennsylvania lost all their manufacturing, from textile to steel. Most moved south or left the country to avoid taxes and to get away from the unions. I don't see California fading away as long as they have all the seaports to unload Chinese junk and endless cheap labor pouring in.
