Also, I put a seedling heat mat under my jumpers box to keep them warming than the AC in my house. I put a rag between the heat mat and the cardboard box- it only raises temp max or 10 degrees. Hopefully this will help someone
I use automotive grease on the bottom 3 foot of my 60 plex unit to keep pis ants and others from climbing up the pole. The tube grease gun type of grease.
@@purplemartinfanatics6600we had fire ants climb our pole for the first time this year. If grease might help prevent that, why would that be a bad thing? It’s not going to be anywhere near the birds.

That is not a recommended method by any reputable birding organization.
