    This is outstanding work! I don't know why it never occurred to me to do some dress up work on knives I already have. Beautiful example here!

    First time watching this man, i don't know how i even got here, but i love this guy.
    Explains everything and why. He either got it from his Grandfather or had great teachers.
    Wasn't going to buy a buck or do any work on a knife, but i will now.
    Thank you brother.
    From San Diego California.
    ✌️🦁
    Ps, i don't even own any knives. But i do love art. And that is what you do.
    God bless.

    Great video. What I learned is that I don't have the tools or patience for this type of thing. I could develop the ability but it would take practice. I love watching craftsmen do their thing. The end result is fantastic. I am just a city boy who will have to either use Buck's custom shop or consign someone else to do it, for the time being anyway.

    Great video Kyle. I did learn a great deal. I regularly carry a Buck 110, unless I’m in the field and then I carry the knife you made for me. I have several Buck 110’s in my collection and your video has given me the confidence to make a custom version with new scales. Thank you Cheers.

    Thanks for the video, instructions and entertaining . Also Bucks don't rust. I carried a Buck Special in Nam '67-68. I thought I had rust on it once, it turned out to be some coconut juice I hadn't gotten wiped off.
    Sadly I never got home with it. I have several smaller sheath knives and have carried the 110 pocket knives for many years. For the price they can't be beat.
    Sadly I see some Buck knives made in China now ?

    Glad I found your channel Kyle, just subscribed. I am looking to customize a 110 as a gift for a buddy of mine, just have a couple questions.
    Where do you get those scale blanks? Or can you just use whatever wood you’d like?
    Also, is there a specific type of epoxy you find works best?
    Keep up the great work.
    Regards from the Adirondacks,

    I want one of your custom built buck knives. How can I get one? I'm also a Dr nut! I had an anniversary buck knife from 1988 from when I graduated high school from my grandfather but when I went in the military they took it from me and I never got it back I've always loved buck knives and I've had many but a custom bolt one would be awesome. Please give me a price and please tell me how to purchase one of your knives. I'm a huge fan! Would love to visit Newfoundland to see you in action!

    I've done a couple scale changes on 110's. My question is if you cut the back strap pin to about .5 to 1 mm below the liner why does it have to be peened? I never have and found, the glued on handles hold it in without any issues.

    At 05:18 'girl danger & caution alarm' is going off at 100% hey.. men seem to be void of this inbuilt alarm to help them understand there is 'danger & caution is needed'!! Could it hurt to cover that rather sharp and nasty blade so if he slips he does not slice his hand open!! Absolutely fascinating from start to finish hey.. I wish I was born a boy so I could have learned how to do this and have a 'man shed' where I could do something like this hey!!

    • @kyle_noseworthy
      @kyle_noseworthy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha you're right... I probably could have covered that edge, 'just in case'. I have worked with so many blades now that I don't even think about it.
      Also, as a female, you cant certainly still learn these skills, build stuff, and have a nice workshop! Go for it! Check out April Wilkerson! :-D

    • @violet-kittychick
      @violet-kittychick 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kyle_noseworthy Trust me when I say us chicks do not have the shed.. or the tools.. or the strength to hold some of those tools with stability for too long hey!! It only takes one silly mistake to ruin your entire day and it will take weeks if not months to get better.. save the band-aid and be careful.. think.. what is the worst thing that could happen and try to ensure it doesn't!! No one wants to see you make a video and hurt yourself because of a mistake and that is all it will take!! If you want to see boys who lack the 'girl danger & caution alarm' protection system then look up a clown by the name of Ally Law and pray he wakes up before someone is hurt or worse killed in those antics. I swear I have had sweaty palms and I have been shaking watching some of their videos with my concern. If I were you I would make some kind of acrylic or epoxy resin cover for the blades if you do this all the time so you just need to slip them on and off at your will.
