i dont know about this dissection talk though what the hell. hell maybe you meant DESTRUCTION... that whole bit around 1:20 sounds more influenced by some 80s teutonic thrash than the song having any semblance of anything dissection ever did.
@@ian.swift.31614 No, I did not mean Destruction and I also hear zero teutonic Thrash in this band. Wolfbrigade integrate parts into their music that are reminiscent of Dissection's melodies. Just listen to From Beyond or Hurrican Veins for example. Maybe I should have stated that I was not talking about this song in particular, but rather about the band as a whole.
Regarding Dissection, Wolfbrigade's song From Beyond features a homage riff/section from Where Dead Angels Lie. It's almost identical, I wouldn't say it's plagiarized, it's literal homage. As for their style, yes, Motorhead and Discharge influence will be always prominent in any d-beat driven hardcore punk band by default. It's just more pronounced and obvious with some bands. But their mainstay is Swedish hardcore, what came before them - that is Anti Cimex and similar käng punk/rä punk bands. Early Swedish extreme metal is also an influence on bands like Driller Killer, Martyrdod or Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade. You can hear subtle melodic death/black metal leads in their music. But the core and starting point is much more punk then metal based.
"Hellhound warpig" 7" still and forever among the heaviest, most brutal recordings of all times...die for this and have painted the Cover on my Bomber Jacket...
Hace unos dias nos volaron la cabeza con su setlist en el OEF checo. Esta canción no desentona con ese arsenal de himnos. Eso solo puede ser bueno. In D-beat we trust. Come on! Wolfbrigade!!!!
Damn when did wolf get on metal blade? Well deserved band! Last offering was not there best hoping this will make up for it so far it’s sounding killer.
that kind of commentaries doesn't let us see that this band has one of the most moderns sounds out there... this is not old school metal, this is crust or better: neocrust
@@eddynoise9 To be fair there are certainly elements of metal riffing and some rhythm sections in their music as it always was with Wolfbrigade. Wolfpack, their earlier incarnation was less metallic. But still, Wolfbrigade is mainly a punk band.
Little strange seeing them on Metal Blade, but if they stay true to their punk roots and rough sound, I'm good. Saw them few days ago on Obscene Extreme. Still have some battle wounds from circle and mosh pit. :) For now, this sound very decent, but far from their best output. Still very good, though.
Very good stuff! The band name gave me a bit of pause (being that I am more of a black metal fan than of grindcore/powerviolence, because "Wolf" in a band name in BM usually is a bad sign... 😬), but I was pleasantly surprised!
This isn't grindcore or powerviolence either, it's straight up D-beat/crust punk mixed with a liberal dose of Swedish death metal. Wolfbrigade are one of the most prominent members of the Swedish kängpunk scene that started in the late 1980s-early 1990s along with bands like Driller Killer, Totalitar, Skitsystem, Disfear etc.
Same scene, similar bands, probably even friends. Started around the same time, more or less. Swedish crust punk scene has things to offer :) I like Swedish version of hardcore the most. It's gritty, fast, abrasive and aggressive, bread-and-potato approach. They don't waste time on some fashionable groove or dance parts, which is fine with me, being a primarily grindcore and hardcore fan. Speaking of Driller Killer, I adore them both, but Driller Killer is my number one from this scene, probably. :)
All crust punk/stenchcore bands draw from Venom and Hellhammer/Celtic Frost by just being a part of genre's history and evolution. But on the whole, this is pretty standard Swedish crusty hardcore punk. Take a look at Driller Killer, Disfear, Skitsystem, Anti-Cimex etc.. common elements, sound, production, ethos.. Celtic Frost, at least early stuff is very punky. Not surprising, because in early days of Hellhammer they were a part of local punk scene and took many punk influences into their evolving sound.
I never thought a band of this genre would make it to Metal Blade. My punk side is happy.
Motörhead meets Dissection meets Entombed guitar tone. Best D-beat band out there without question! Very excited for this!
Driller Killer also. The whole Swedish hardcore punk/crust punk scene is fascinating.
and with some morbid tales homage artwork...

Been fan since they were Wolfpack. Still kicking some serious ass! Can't wait to hold this lp in my hands.
Cheers from Finland!

The guitarists have been playing death metal before starting this band.
That the answer to there sound.

Had the same reaction... "NSBM on Metal Blade ?" But crust is often on the opposite side
I guess nazis ruined the word "wolf" too
@@cenotaphobscure driller killer 😍
@@tatann666Yeah, it sucks that dinguses like them have to ruin words and symbols in certain subcultures that began as plain or non-problematic.
@@cenotaphobscure Whatever the genre, they are very good! Might have to check out more of their stuff.
Thx for the recommendation 🤟🏻♥️🤟🏻 #KMäN

Nice very good
Amazinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng
Sounds like "metal-era" ANTI CIMEX.
1-2 members of Anti Cimex are in the band
@@Justin88800 That's explains it all then :)
Disarm?? NEVER!! 🇺🇸
Molon Labe😫
better than last Nails songs
GANAS SEMETON
the cover worships Hellhammer, hell yeah!
Morbid Tales coverart homage not hellhammer..
D-Beat Motorpunk❤
If those are the choices, then obviously stay armed and fight. Silly name.
Sounds like all new crap. Shit.
I miss the rawness of earlier recordings, though it's not all bad here. We'll see how the album turns out.
Straight up Celtic Frost worship...
Meh maybe.... some parts remind me of belphegor and exodus
