Hans showing the only way of doing this imo.The following YT video is worth checking out though lol...... Unbelievable to say the least!!!! TH-cam....... >>>> BMW E39 5 Series Airbag Light Reset"
Great video as always. I will have to give this a try. What do you suggest for the seat belt. I have a 2004 545i says front pass resistant system malfunction.
I had the same code due to taking the seat out and the plug off of the seat and triggered this exact issue. For me nothing was hardware failure just didn't unplug my battery when I took the seat out and triggered these errors. Give this sensor a try if you think no hardware is the issue!
@@HansGarage It just popped up today. Have to see which sensor you are referring to. Is there a cost to activate this device. Mines will be here Tuesday. Thanks for the video
@@HansGarage That's an Awesome find. I had those adaptors from Amazon I was about to use. Wondering how is this different than the bigger scanners. Interesting
Very helpful vid. This worked. I replaced a window regulator on the driver side which I believe caused the code. Question is, does this just clear the code or does the airbag not function? I assume it's a computer error and the airbags are good unless it throws the code again.
Few questions. Does this work with most bmw models ? Specifically the E46 sedan. Also would this help clear ABS light? I fixed both speed sensors and the light still won’t go out
On my '99 e38 I got "Error in communication with vehicle ECU" while accessing the SRS Airbag. Some other things work just not the one I've bought this scanner for, damn.
Device Update I tried this on a 2004 545i and a 2004 645i when I go thru the settings as suggested in the video. When I press SRS I receive the following message - Error in communication with vehicle ECU. I will have to email the vendor as I can do a full scan and report on both cars with the Ancel device. Keep you posted
I have 2000 323 ci, BlueDriver can’t reset my airbag, I will try this one on my e46 and my sienna, I’ll let you know if it’s a success or not. Thank you for uploading the video
Just spotted this old YT video. No link so just type it in. "BMW E39 5 Series Airbag Light Reset" 11 YT channels, & around 9,000 uploads. One way to make a living !! lol
I’m looking for a scanner anyways. Aside from this great solution for airbag light, is this scanner overall a good one?
Do you think this will work if youve installed a quick release steering wheel?
Thanks for all the helpful videos!
Is there a way to clear the codes without a scan tool? I've seen methods for Honda but haven't found one for BMW. E46 here: 2001 330Ci.
After researching, unless you have a laptop with adapter, there is not proper way I think... but this scanner was so easy for me

@Andre no activation fee. Just the part you pay for and that's it

AirBag will function. Just clearing the error message

Thanks and appreciate the love my brother! Same to you and your family 🥰
So did you have to register your battery to use that scan tool? I want to order scanner but am worried it won't work

Sorry to hear that
@@HansGarage Thanks. At least it might help someone else to save some buck…
Thanks for this!
Did you have to fix the SRS problem first before you cleared the code?
I didn't have any issues initially, I was messing with the doors and that threw the code

Would this work on a 2010 128i ?
What did you repair that caused the light in the first place?
Removed passenger seat to clean underneath
@@HansGaragesame exact thing happened to my 1999 e46

Ciao, scusami il disturbo, a me dà il errore di collegamento,
Mia machina è un BMW f30 del 2012 berlina
Erasing the code doesn't solve the problem. The computer will pop it back up later.
Not when the code is air bag disconnected while working on your seat or window regulator
Turned one off and the other came on😂
No comms...
89 pounds... please no
communication error for me
