    Enjoyed the video and you are right everyone doesn't do things the same way but just look at it this way as long as they are being respectful about what they say then don't take it personal because at the same time we all are never to old to learn and people might share something we don't know or they may have an easier way to do something, put a positive spin on it.

    Anthony DO it your way. The one thing I find interesting is that people will always have an OPINION but it doesn’t mean you should listen. Most commenting won’t even have the guts to create a channel, upload and live the campground life.

    Hi Anthony if you want the sauce to thicken you need to remove the lid & let it simmer. Leaving the the lid on creates steam therefore adding more liquid... also when you add cornstarch to any gravy/sauce you need to do a slurrly meaning mix a lil water with the cornstarch in a cup then add it. 😉

    • @Nira39
      @Nira39 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      I use that brand of curry sauce. It’s quite thick unless you use too much liquid.

    • @christyhennagir999

    This is a suggestion, so please take it only as that. Stop knocking on the edges of your pots & pans with the cooking utensils, this causes wear down for chipping /scarring & breakage eventually. My mother told me this years ago, to use another utensil (fork/spoon/knife, whatever) to remove off. Didn't listen, found out, true

  • @MsUnik44
    @MsUnik44 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Rule for cooking rice; 1-cup of uncooked rice add 2-cups of water equals 2-cups of cooked rice. Simply put, 1 to 2 ratio. Your cornstarch should always start with cold-water -- hence the slurry -- 2 tablespoons cornstarch & 4 tablespoons of cold-water...add to your hot pot slowly while stirring to desired consistency. Just a tip that I use...try it. LOL! The Slap-Your-Mama...that Cajan spice is hot! Great effort, Anthony.

    Anthony do this to thicken your sauce.
    What are the 2 ingredients in a slurry?
    A slurry is a quick and simple way to thicken various dishes, including soups, stews, and sauces. It is created by mixing cornstarch with a cold liquid, usually water, until it forms a smooth, lump-free mixture.
    Then stir the cornstarch/flour mixture into what you are cooking . I use this method whenever I need to thicken something.

Good for you in learning so many new things with your new home, such a big learning curve. I think you are doing a terrific job. If you use arrowroot instead of cornstarch, no slurry needed, add it right in and stir-it's also more forgiving with flavor. Folks with corn or wheat allergies use arrowroot for thickening, works in rue or any gravy recipe. I use it for my gumbo. Can you do a video on how you found your RV? I can't find Rove lites anywhere in the Midwest, at least at dealerships. It looks so lighht filled with all the windows. So glad you had a wowzer curry meal-Happy New Year!

    Mix your cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry before adding it to any gravy/sauce 😊

    Happy New year!
    The way you made your curry today is how I make mine. I cheat by using frozen onions & peppers in a bag. I also add potatoes to make it more filling.

    Anthony, im not criticizing, but when you put cornstarch in a hot dish you never add it straight in. Take your measuring cup( or any small cup) add whatever amt of cornstarch you want and then add enough cold water to it to make a slurry. Stir it into the water until all lumps are gone and then add it to your hot dish.

    Hey Anthony Please don’t worry yourself about what folks say about you doing what you do.
    The best thing you can do is ignore negative criticism and is if it’s helpful criticism, you accepted that’s it because people are gonna judge you because they have nothing else to do but watch you and put you down because they’re not doing nothing. Remember that.
    A empty wagon makes the most noise lol you’re the best ❤

    Remember, 1 cup of rice can be used for 2 servings, especially when you have another food to go along,eg ,vegs, etc , which means you save some for the next day,

    Hi Anthony, I used that curry sauce recently. I noticed when I used all 4 cubes, it came out the best. When I used 3 one time, it was ok, then I used the last one. It wasn't good like the 4 cubes. Also, I've learned to cook everything 1st and then add the cubes because it gets thick very fast. Sn: because you have an audience of a ton of women, we are extremely big on cleanliness. We pay attention to great detail. Men aren't that bothered by all the details. 😂 so don't take offense, it's very natural for us to teach. You are such a cutie pie. Keep being yourself and laughing, brother. 🫂💙🩵

    In no way I telling you how to cook your food, I'm offering you what my 35 yrs cooking as a job taught me. Can't learn how to make it right unless you experience making it wrong.. Lord knows my gravy was a brick when I first started🤣You do you boo! 😊
    Make a slurry from the cornstarch and it won't clump up.. Tblsp of corn starch to 4 Tblsp of cold water, mix well... You don't have to use it all... Pour on a lil, stir while still cooking, then you can judge weather you need more... As long as it's cooked well, it shouldn't affect the flavor...

    Just remember it’s 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. If it’s regular rice. If it’s like instant rice then it’s equal parts. But in a rice cooker it’s more like 1cup rice to 3/4 cup water. Because the rice cooker uses the steam from the water too

    Hello Anthony may I give a suggestion... when you are changing your hoses put the disposable gloves 🧤 on first then put the other gloves 🧤 on top of the disposable gloves 🧤... change the fresh water 💦 hose first then take those gloves 🧤 off then you can change the dirty water 💦 hose last and when you're finished you can throw those disposable gloves 🧤 in the garbage... just a suggestion 😊... keep living your best life 💘
