Enjoyed the video and you are right everyone doesn't do things the same way but just look at it this way as long as they are being respectful about what they say then don't take it personal because at the same time we all are never to old to learn and people might share something we don't know or they may have an easier way to do something, put a positive spin on it.
Anthony DO it your way. The one thing I find interesting is that people will always have an OPINION but it doesn’t mean you should listen. Most commenting won’t even have the guts to create a channel, upload and live the campground life.
Amen...this is what I was going to comment. But you said it perfectly. Anthony, continue to live your best life in your own way. We are spectators who are only hoping and wishing for ourselves. Don't feel a need to explain your actions to us...the spectators.
I agree 100% with these comments. That's why I love your channel because your real with it. Don't change just because there are some people who don't agree with your methodology. You do you. ❤
Hi Anthony if you want the sauce to thicken you need to remove the lid & let it simmer. Leaving the the lid on creates steam therefore adding more liquid... also when you add cornstarch to any gravy/sauce you need to do a slurrly meaning mix a lil water with the cornstarch in a cup then add it. 😉
This is probably why he lost the flavor because he added the cornstarch right into it. It's suppose to be a slurry mixing it with a bit of water. Man it's his first New Year meal in his home; I hope it's a wowzer for him.
Anthony you're doing great! Just know that you can do everything the right way and somebody will still complain. I'm loving your journey and you have taught me a lot!
Hey Anthony! I’m half Japanese so I make curry a lot. Try adding about 1/2 can of coconut milk……it’s amazing ❤ I make mine with carrots, cabbage, onions and potato chunks.
@@islandbaby4704 I use chicken broth instead of water and add the coconut milk at the very end. Then, I’ll use a cornstarch slurry if I need to thicken.
My husband and I accidentally stumbled on your channel and we love watching you. Hey ...ignore the trolls. People can be real jerks. Your awesome ! We are going out on the road again around March Keep on being who you are doing things the way you want. Have an amazing New Year 😊
Hello Anthony and Happy New Year. Just a suggestion when using corn starch as a thickener, make what is called a slurry with water. Mix the the corn starch in a little water or broth then add it in, to avoid clumps.
That is the way I have done it frequently and I need no lesson but sometimes I do as Anthony did and it comes out in an acceptable way but sometimes lumpy---after all it is not a cooking class. He is cooking for himself just as I cook for myself.
It’s so cool that in just the few short years I’ve followed this channel I’ve seen so much growth from Anthony and it’s refreshing to see such a good person succeed at making the life they dreamed of which serves as an inspiration to thousands of us.
I can remember when I first bought my motorhome.Everything was new for me too. Im sure glad i didn't video it for al to see and critique. After you do this for awhile it will all become second nature to you. Have a great 2024!
Hey Anthony, I love how you gently and lovingly smack down your critics. I knew when you added the corn starch directly to your curry that you were going to get a bunch of "oh no" advice. Death, taxes, and advice always inevitably come. What I love about you is how kindly you respond. We can't do much about death and taxes, but we can respond to advice with the same love with which it is obviously given. You are an ace at this. Love and enjoy you so much. Thank you for welcoming me into your fold. Love, Carol
Hello Anthony, your rambling and talking is just you being you. Please continue to do things as you please. Happy New Year to all of you, your family, Anthony and your family. I greatly enjoy watching all your videos.
1 Tablespoon of instant mashed potatoes or 1teaspoon like you did with corn starch. Mix the corn starch in a little water fist. This is so doesn't lump up. You did a great job. Keep cooking Anthony
It depends on the type of rice , long grain, brown rice, jasmine rice, basmati, par boiled , short grained rice ect determines the ratio of the cups of rice vs water. Just follow the instructions on the box. 🙄🤷🏾♀️
Anthony when you use corn starch make a slury a table spoon of corn starch and 2 tablespoon of cold water than thicken your sauces that way you can control thickness of your sauces
Anthony you are supposed to put cornstarch in cold it doesn't have to be a lot of water just enough to dissolve the cornstarch water before you add it otherwise it will clump
Love the singing Anthony! Brings joy to my day! You seem REALLY happy in your new camper. You continue to be a person of courage and a great inspiration to me!
This is a suggestion, so please take it only as that. Stop knocking on the edges of your pots & pans with the cooking utensils, this causes wear down for chipping /scarring & breakage eventually. My mother told me this years ago, to use another utensil (fork/spoon/knife, whatever) to remove off. Didn't listen, found out, true
Rule for cooking rice; 1-cup of uncooked rice add 2-cups of water equals 2-cups of cooked rice. Simply put, 1 to 2 ratio. It is created by mixing cornstarch with a cold liquid, usually water, until it forms a smooth, lump-free mixture. Then stir the cornstarch/flour mixture into what you are cooking . To make it easier usually it’s 2 cups of water per cup of rice or if you put a bowl of rice then you would put two bowls of water but maybe your pressure cooker is different.
Hey Anthony, can you do a video talking about how you are feeling about how the travel trailer is working out for you? I know you are still figuring out the parking of it and how it’s going to take time to get used to moving it from campground to campground but How does it sleep? Anthony, im not criticizing, but when you put cornstarch in a hot dish you never add it straight in. Take your measuring cup( or any small cup) add whatever amt of cornstarch you want and then add enough cold water to it to make a slurry. Stir it into the water until all lumps are gone and then add it to your hot dish.
Hey Anthony Please don’t worry yourself about what folks say about you doing what you do. The best thing you can do is ignore negative criticism and is if it’s helpful criticism, you accepted that’s it because people are gonna judge you because they have nothing else to do but watch you and put you down because they’re not doing nothing. Remember that. A empty wagon makes the most noise lol you’re the best ❤
Remember, 1 cup of rice can be used for 2 servings, especially when you have another food to go along,eg ,vegs, etc , which means you save some for the next day,
Hi Anthony, I used that curry sauce recently. I noticed when I used all 4 cubes, it came out the best. When I used 3 one time, it was ok, then I used the last one. It wasn't good like the 4 cubes. Also, I've learned to cook everything 1st and then add the cubes because it gets thick very fast. Sn: because you have an audience of a ton of women, we are extremely big on cleanliness. We pay attention to great detail. Men aren't that bothered by all the details. 😂 so don't take offense, it's very natural for us to teach. You are such a cutie pie. Keep being yourself and laughing, brother. 🫂💙🩵
In no way I telling you how to cook your food, I'm offering you what my 35 yrs cooking as a job taught me. Can't learn how to make it right unless you experience making it wrong.. Lord knows my gravy was a brick when I first started🤣You do you boo! 😊 Make a slurry from the cornstarch and it won't clump up.. Tblsp of corn starch to 4 Tblsp of cold water, mix well... You don't have to use it all... Pour on a lil, stir while still cooking, then you can judge weather you need more... As long as it's cooked well, it shouldn't affect the flavor...
Just remember it’s 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. If it’s regular rice. If it’s like instant rice then it’s equal parts. But in a rice cooker it’s more like 1cup rice to 3/4 cup water. Because the rice cooker uses the steam from the water too
Hello Anthony may I give a suggestion... when you are changing your hoses put the disposable gloves 🧤 on first then put the other gloves 🧤 on top of the disposable gloves 🧤... change the fresh water 💦 hose first then take those gloves 🧤 off then you can change the dirty water 💦 hose last and when you're finished you can throw those disposable gloves 🧤 in the garbage... just a suggestion 😊... keep living your best life 💘
I love the peace you have created for yourself Anthony. To God be the glory.
Nothing like a WOWZER meal prepared at home! Best to you!

I use that brand of curry sauce. It’s quite thick unless you use too much liquid.
I agree. It's the lid of the pan not allowing it to thicken
Ok thanks Jackie
@@FOASQUAD you're welcome & Happy New Year. 😊

Yes that is the way to have no lumps. For both flour and cornstarch use cold water to also keep a smooth slurry.

A empty wagon makes the most noise lol you’re the best ❤
Remember, 1 cup of rice can be used for 2 servings, especially when you have another food to go along,eg ,vegs, etc , which means you save some for the next day,
You make my day. You always make me laugh. You are the best.
I make my own curry, it comes out perfect every time.
Hi Anthony. I’ve never written you before. I wanted to tell you how nice your videos are. You are so down to earth and lovable. 🦋
Hey Anthony! Happy New Year to you and to everyone watching your video!!
In no way I telling you how to cook your food, I'm offering you what my 35 yrs cooking as a job taught me. Can't learn how to make it right unless you experience making it wrong.. Lord knows my gravy was a brick when I first started🤣You do you boo! 😊
Make a slurry from the cornstarch and it won't clump up.. Tblsp of corn starch to 4 Tblsp of cold water, mix well... You don't have to use it all... Pour on a lil, stir while still cooking, then you can judge weather you need more... As long as it's cooked well, it shouldn't affect the flavor...
Dear Anthony. happy new year to you! Your thoughtfulness, humor and compassion bring me comin back every time. Wishing you ease as we head into 2024
Just remember it’s 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. If it’s regular rice. If it’s like instant rice then it’s equal parts. But in a rice cooker it’s more like 1cup rice to 3/4 cup water. Because the rice cooker uses the steam from the water too
Use some milk or half and half to make it thicker
Anthony never change the chitin n chatten! It’s my favorite part! I love your personality and laugh right along with you as I say it too! 😂
