いや～見たい番組です。昔から大ファンの主演の加藤みどりさんご本人は、この夕やけ番長の事は果たして記憶に
ハッキリと残っているのだろうか？
それまで脇役、準主役が多かった加藤さんも、この「夕やけ番長」と「サザエさん」でたて続けに主役を得た。
サザエさん（69年～）よりこっち（68年～）の方が製作年が早いので、初主役かもしれない。
しかし準主役クラスは本当に多い方だ。
よっちゃん「ま～あんたたちー」（66年～）、
チビ丸「ボク泣いちゃうも・・・」（67年～）、
デコッ八「ヤイヤイヤイッ！」（69年～）、
カンちゃん「おい魔王っ！」（69年～）、
大山家のママさん「ま～、ロボコンッ！」（75年～）など。
歌詞の中に出てくる、「腕自慢」「のど自慢」「友自慢」の３自慢は、いずれも直前に「自慢じゃないけど・・」が付くが、
明らかに自慢というもの(笑)。ケンカ？独りファイト？中、しょっちゅうこっち（カメラ）を見て「ニヤッ」っと笑うとこがまたいい！
加藤さんの歌がまたいい。
１番で「バンバンバ～ンのバーーンッ！」って歌っているのだから、２番でも「ケッハッハーのハーーッ！」って唄うのかと思いきや、「ケッハッハーのハ。」って。。
でも音はちゃんと掴んでるし声も大きく出ている（のど自慢）
ハマる。

これは実際にはアニメの最初の主役ではありませんでした。彼女の最初の主役は（私が知る限り）おそ松くん（1966）の松野おそ松でした。
彼女は夕やけ番長について何か覚えているのだろうかと思いますが、今日はあまり知られていないことを考えると、彼女がそれをたくさん覚えているのではないかと思います。

It is so sad that this anime is lost !
The music just had so much drive and passion, like whenever I feel down I listen glory of pain from ashita no joe and that song just gets you going makes you wanna fight till your last breath like this type of music and the other music from ashita no joe truly amazing man you are underrated.

The opening song is sung by Midori Kato, who would later go on to, and still does to this day, voice Sazae-san, which has been broadcast every Sunday evening in Japan since 1969.

It used to be up on youtube but the channel that had it shut down.
My friend later then found it on nicovideo where he then created a google drive with a lot of old anime songs with full versions that aren't on youtube (for example dororo 1969) which I plan to upload here and there with the AnJ soundtracks!

How is this related to Ashita no Joe?
In one of the pictures he seems to be fighting a guy who looked like Rikiishii and in another the hero is seen wearing boxing gloves.
This isn't related to Ashita no Joe. The only ''connection'' it has is that the mangaka is the same as Ashita no Joe's. The full OP of this isn't uploaded on yt so I decided to upload it.
And yeah 1 of the main rivals has a striking resemblance to rikiishi (in other covers even more but didn't include them)

@@saubhagtrasy It is about a bunch of sports. It is a story about a boy who has lost both of his parents (like joe) comes to a new school and sees its overrun by gangs. So he fights the gangs 1 by 1 in different types of sports, 1 of them is boxing.
And no, the manga doesn't even exist online anywhere sadly, not even in japanese.

The most interesting thing to me is that the mangaka is the same as Ashita no Joe's, not the artist but the guy who made up the story, Kajiwara ikki. I've heard it also has a very tragic ending.
I bought 15 volumes of the manga and I am planning to read it soon.
