    Still praying that they make a Dungeon Master mode in BG 3... to use the game itself as a virtual tabletop. That itself would ultimately improve 5e, and almost all tabletop rpgs for that matter (most definitely for trying to run games online). No delays, no arguing about rules, and all kinds of crunchy effects (yeah, like awesome weapon abilities) available at a mouse click.. along with all the cool mechanic interactions like slippery floors and easily usable environmental effects (like dipping weapons in flame).
    Yes, I'd still welcome it even if Hasbro is still twisting it for monetization and political pandering 😅

      I’m also waiting for that! Larian made a DM mode for Divinity Original Sin 2, so I remain hopeful.
      And agreed! Long gone the day of disagreeing on how exactly a spell works. It’d just work consistently in one particular way now. Big perk!

    Thoughts on your lists...
    Magic items. Perhaps this depends on what kind of game you want to run? I doubt that EVERY game you DM is going to have exactly the same setting and availability and variety of stuff.
    Short Rests. Meh. Things are already superheroic enough for my tastes in 5e, so most of your reasons there seem to go in the wrong direction away from my tastes. Twice per Long Rest seems fine, but a whole lot gets done for recovery in that time... one minute? Fifteen, if comfortable... 1 full hour if stressed, uncomfortable, multitasking etc. Makes players need to interact, and so immerse, in their situation.
    Reaction Information. It took me a few minutes to understand what you meant there.
    Metagaming player vs player , instead of occasional pc vs pc, is a horrible environment, sure, but you could really take that the opposite direction instead... filter the information more through skillful description based on what a PC should be able to understand (skills, abilities, occasional rolls), and embrace PCs being unbalanced and information being shown in the game. Players still get to think tactically that way.
    If you're going for balance in the game as a priority... ugh. So be it. Open it all up. I bet you'll find that the mob will feel like running the game and argue about that even more, resent things they disagree with even more. If your gaming group can handle it, then you would probably get a good wargame-like atmosphere out of it.. which can be cool.
    Unconsciousness. Yep, definitely shouldn't be such a game of "whack a mole" / yo-yo effect. Make falling in combat something that matters and you make the event something closer to what can be immersive... it's fantastical enough already.
    Yep, respec o matic puts the character sheet way more important than the game. My best BG runthroughs haven't involved conversations with Withers beyond the first introduction.
    Potions stop Clerics from being healbots instead of awesome elements of combat. But healing is already too much in most 5e games... see the reasoning above about Unconsciousness. In my opinion, splash healing is cool... as an action, not bonus, as in the RAW base, but not 10 feet, and not at as much of an effect.
    ...
    I'd enjoy BG 3 more if the settings could be adjusted. Change the frequency of magic item discovery. Have random encounters.
    I guess that's about all I have to comment about on the ideas in your video. Thanks for the English, by the way (disincentivize, eh? Nice :) )
