Honestly, what's scariest about this to me is that this is it doesn't seem like any demon or evil being, but just a serial killer who is even more mentally deranged than serial killers usually are. I also like how much you've left up for interpretation, and just being generally unnerving. You've earned yourself a sub.
Spoiler warning.
What is usually based on a real life occurrence of a man named James Parton James was nicknamed the paint maniac because after torturing the victims from 1982 to 1983 The mass of paint the victims description of either getting Hanks killed or gutted in a more manic and animalistic way because this man on the other hand James Burton happens to become a very well-known and very understood lunatic and American psychopathy he was nicknamed the painkiller by his nickname the downtown ripper because his parents mainly targeted women who worked women who are homeless and male and female victims because it’s rough start in 1956 basically Latin have developing parlaying including robbery thievery and assault to be a game changer assaulting someone is the best way and bothering them is the more his favorite technique Intel James was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and Mac depression house with the years of his parents death and the death of a loved one he was traumatized by death and fear of death because of a severe case of my depression the best way to do that is to go to rob someone or the right way to shank someone and tell the LPC arrive in his house and how they found out at least 71 containing paintings and 4 to 6 bodies and this man’s for the guy James to be arrested and was dead in 1985 his paintings however did not receive but only six paintings were popular

This is one of the only analog horror videos to make me legitimately afraid. A lot of others have made me nervous, grossed out, startled me, or have just been an interesting, creepy thing to watch. This, on the other hand, SCARES me. Especially the self portrait face. I dunno what is it about that face, but it's terrifying to the point where I can barely look at it. I think the fact that it isn't smiling like the analog horror jumpscare faces usually are contributes to this. It's just... staring.
Also, although having typical aggressive red color and stare at the viewer, it breaks couple more cliches anyways. First, eyes are rather small and maybe that's a subjective take of mine, in other analog horrors eyes are depicted proportionally bigger. Also they're rather simple, fish-like, instead of being typically fleshed out realistic or straight up photo cut outs. But the most important is it's androgynous/feminine look. It's a really round face with smooth skin and small nose, plus long hair. That kind of detail gives off feel of deceiving fragility, it reminds of how demons try appeal to humans, but here it's more metaphorical unlike with Mandela Catalogue, probably serial killer is rather appealing, or even a woman in real life, but in their painting actual outlook merges with what it hides

Yeah eyes are always huuuuge
Honestly, having read this comment and taken a second look at the killer's self portrait and the various other pictures of them throughout the series... them being a women doesn't seem far-fetched at all.
Something about their face structure, especially their eyes and their jawline, reads as feminine to me.
-Sincerely, an artist who enjoys mostly drawing women when I draw people.
@@invaderxim9893 though feminine doesn't always mean woman, plus if that horror tries to be realistic, I doubt it would actually make the killer a woman. There are differences between male and female serial killers, first hunt strangers outside and kill them using force methods, second usually poison people they know, like husbands, colleagues, students etc.

Here because of the drama. I don't like deciding I dislike things if I don't see them for myself.
what do u think
@amp6218 I put an extended summary of my views in the most recent video (Meat, I believe)
TL;DR, the art is good but the series has a terrible lack of stakes and emotional weight. There's not enough information to get attached to the victims before their deaths, the motives and personality of the killer(s) are unclear, the only real throughline is the paintings.
The story would benefit greatly from being patient with the murders and letting the victims simmer for a bit. Using first-person accounts would also be beneficial, as it would give the viewer something to get attached to. Also... having it be presented in a more immersive fashion than a spooky powerpoint would help tremendously, something which the most recent 2 videos at the time of writing seem to dip into.
There are a million other ways the creator could make this work without compromising the identity of the series as a whole, but it all ultimately comes down to stakes and immersion. We're never given a reason to get attached to these characters or their stories, so all of the window dressing falls flat.
As it stands, all of the victims could be replaced with a sexy lamp and the story would remain largely unchanged. There's no real horror here because the victims are just props for the killer(s) to mutilate in increasingly gruesome fashion.
People have made a fair point that the gratuitous violence feels kind of tasteless, I personally wouldn't have even touched the horse thing, but I think that's missing the bigger picture. The series wouldn't need half the gore it uses if it just used the characters more effectively, and the brutal manglings would have much more impact if the victims were treated like people instead of props. If more consideration were given towards the characters of the story, if these horrible tragedies were given the emotional weight they deserve, the brutal and bloody nature of everything would actually work to enhance the story and its themes rather than just feeling like gore for the sake of gore. As it stands, I really have no idea what the story or themes even _are._
I actually appreciate you writing so much even for just a TL;DR
I can definitely agree with you on basically everything you said, it's all just genuinely for shock value and it would've done a greater feat if we had more attachments to said characters

I had a sinking feeling in my chest whenever those paintings got drawn up.
An antisocial, schizoid, psychosis prone, manically active, artistic personality, psychopathically artistic, sadist savant is one of the most terrifying human beings you can come across.
And yes, this is me identifying as many symptoms and potential forthcomings of this individual.
I do believe that this is an individual who is a human being and it's a 50/50 whether the last portrait is his own suicide.
An artist who is so enthralled in their work will eventually become part of their gallery.

i absolutely love analogue horror thats just that; no paranormal, no jumpscares, just pure tension. Obviously, the others are good, but this is amazing. The tension is never broken with jumpscares or loud noises, and its built up until the end where it leaves your mind to wander. Even the sound design, the few beats between, the odd noises near the end, the out of tune bits, and how it abruptly stops at the killer's painting, it adds to it so much. The whispering during the reveal of the last few made my heart stop. I've genuinely lost sleep over this series, love it and cant wait for more.

- In the third, got caught by Cory's cam;
- In the fourth, got caught by Sean's surveillance cam;
and in fifth and sixth
I do believe That the killer In Sean's Security Camra is Actually Jack Stryker Cause we had no idea where he was taken unless Jack was the one doing the Kidnapping and the killing

I don’t know if it’s just me and my limits but I could barely make it through this. Just the weird audio and the creepy faces were enough to make me nauseous. You earned yet another sub my freind! I haven’t been this put off my horror in forever. ❤
big randy was found with 12891 broken bones and 1 decillion stab wounds
they wound a picture of a massive pp titled "big randy's treasure"
I'm a horror fan who isn't really phased by much, but this... this...
I wanna cry from how disturbing and eerie the vibe of this vid gives
This is by far, the MOST disturbing analog horror video since Local 58 contingency. I absolutely love this.
Wow these send chills down my spine i love the background and everything about this video is great, good job!
Dear god the sound and the imagery is amazing this scared the shit out of me 😭😭😭
Loving it, if big analog series were comparable to a big meal or a buffé, then this would be a michelin star meal, small, bite sized, and delectable!
1:18 'you got games on you phone?' ahh face
this. this is the best analog horror video i’ve ever seen. the effectiveness of the haunting paintings, the horrifying story, everything. what i love most is how oddly vague the paintings are, leaving your mind to wander and imagine what could’ve possibly happened to these people to inspire the paintings. idk if the creator will see this but if so i want you to know that you should be VERY proud of this. amazing work :)
Cory and Maggy.
Both killed and had their bodies stitched to one another.
One is named Fucktoy Cory, one is named Scream Maggy Scream
Maggy's jaw was dislocated and her neck broken as a brick was forced down her jaw
Cory's upper half and Maggy's lower half have yet to be found.
The artwork has this very surreal feel to it, like it’s the stuff of nightmares. Super impressive, keep up the good work.
This type of scenario is what gave me nightmares back when I was a child. You’re an artist! 👌
It seems we have a groundbreaker in the game now!
And the tracks are so unnerving, hoping to see an official OST.
I'm loving it.
I absolutely adore these artworks, beautifully made and horrificly intriguing. "Daniel after the fire", "Wax Doll Tom" and "Fucktoy Cory" make me want to know the stories behind them
You don't want to know the laters story
@@daneiltherat2327 too late now
Daniel was burned to a crisp and was in a barrel or something wax doll tom got his arms and eyelids cut off with another arm and suffocated in wax and fucktoy cory was a very young boy who was sexually assaulted and died a bad way
