In the digital age I'm sure it's easy to find, but back in the day things took effort.Goodness I'm old. It was released as a B side on a 45 with the Immigrant Song on the other side.
@@TheMinorFallTheMajorLift Which I don't understand why it was never on an actual album. Being on the B side of Immigrant Song when it was released as a single meant 1970 or so. You'd think it woulda been on Led Zeppelin III, and might I say, it woulda fit right in on that Album.
@@sawyer3715 "Hats off" is a really quirky song. Off beat. You normally.dont say that about any other Zeppelin songs. Except for maybe "Hot Dog" off of In Through the Out Door. You're right though. They shoulda put Hey Hey on the album instead and it woulda made the whole album even better
Such beautiful playing!!! It's still amazes me that the version of this song that's played on the radio was recorded live in the BBC studio in one take!
This is a Led gem 💎 Marty from the Led Zeppelin treasure chest. I almost forgot about this song I haven't heard it a long time. Thanks for uploading this beautiful song. I'm learning this song right away! 🎸🎵🎼🎶
I love Led Zeppelin, this is amazing! All the progress I have ever made with the guitar was thanks to you! If you're able to, please teach how to play "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse. Thanks!
Love when you do a Zeppelin tutorial. I got a Martin guitar recently and I’ve been learning all the Zeppelin acoustic songs since then. Challenging and fun. Relieved this is in standard tuning!
I started playing guitar 5 yrs ago at 54 and you have always been my main you tube teacher and have learnt so much from you , thankyou for this Gem , love and ✌️
Hey Marty, first of all I miss you so much. I learnt playing guitar watching your videos. Recently I got obsessed with Rolling Stones “play with fire”. Michelle branch covered it and I really like her version. Please please make a tutorial video. I’m counting on you sirrrr!
Been looking for a tutorial on this for years, one of my absolute favorite Zeppelin songs, it has a big Elvis feel in the vocals. Thanks Marty, this is why I've purchased a few of your programs, you are the man.
Marty. It seems like you can read my mind. My les paul broke yesterday and I only have an accoustic left. I love led zeppelin riffs and I was looking for a nice led zeppelin acoustic riff I like and I found one! Marty thanks alot and please can you do November rain by guns and Rose's?
Hey Marty!!! I have been following your lessons for over a decade now, Thank you teaching me.....Could you please teach more Eagles songs maybe One of These Nights solo? or Hotel California Solo.....please add more...Love your lessons and appreciate everything you do.
Hey Im a beginner and just got my guitar last April and your videos have been helping me a lot. Idk if you do requests but I’ve been wanting to learn “Placeholder” by The Story so Far for a while but I could never find a full video tutorial on it and it would be a great help if you can make a tutorial on it
You’re pretty close, Marty. It’s,of course, very difficult to guess just exactly what all Jimmy’s doing. Especially in the studio. I hear the whole A5 ringing throughout in the intro and on that D chord in the chorus I hear the high F/E alternating; especially into the fills. Like I said though, who knows how many tracks are stacked up? 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway, I do enjoy your tutorials and find them extremely helpful. Thanks man.
Yes, love Zeppelin! Thanks a ton for your lessons, your lessons are why I know some guitar. if possible could you do In My Time of Dying? love those bluesy slides
Here's a tip. Trying to get the tuning to play with the record is a huge pain in the butt and not easy. If you want to play with the record, use the live version with Black Crowes and Page. It's in standard tuning. I've learned that trick for all songs played 3/4 of a step down. Find a live version. It's often in standard tuning.
Love it. I remember driving for miles to find this as a single on vinyl back in the day. Hard to find but I located it and it was worth it.

Can you do a tutorial of into the void by black Sabbath

another great lesson... could you do Bob Seger's Still The Same?
instead of tuning it down a half would throwing on a capo at the first fret work too?
No, that would raise the strings up a half step. To match the recording, you need to tune down half a step.
Love it man! Could you teach us Bron Yr Aur Stomp?
Can you please do a tutorial on 4th of july by wild pink
Please do a Michael Kiwanuka love and hate solo.
Please do walk on the ocean by toad the wet sproket! I can't find any good videos on that.
