PHS stands for Phase Shift. 48 refers to the steepness of the filter, meaning it applies a 48 dB per octave phase shift. "+" (plus) and "-" (minus) indicate the direction of the phase shift. PHS 48+ shifts the phase positively. PHS 48- shifts the phase negatively. What Does This Actually Do? These filters don't cut frequencies like a normal low-pass or high-pass filter. Instead, they introduce phase shifts in the signal, which can cause comb filtering, phasing, or strange tonal shifts depending on how they interact with your sound. They’re often used for weird, warping, or psychedelic effects rather than traditional filtering.
man, I want to ask you something, why when consolidated/freeze & flatten tracks in Ableton the dynamics change even though there are no active plugins on the track, the warp feature is also in the off position, the mixer volume & sample volume are also not changed at all, the position is 0db, track volume on the master channel, the preview/cue volume is at 0db according to Ableton's settings, but when you duplicate the audio track then the duplicate track is consolidated/freeze & flatten the track, the dynamics change, doesn't match the dynamic range of the original sample, is this normal in Ableton?
Thanks for finding new ways to make Serum content. Good video.
Great content 🔥
Sam, Thank you. Thank you for all.
