the wellington housing crisis is such a joke, love paying exorbitant amounts of rent for shitty mouldy flats!! one thing i did in my first year was we reached out to flats on vicdeals with one room going and asking if the rest of the flat was planning to leave at the end of summer. this meant that we would rent the one room between the group of us for the summer, with a guaranteed flat for the next year. minimal rent over summer was good!
