The new town music was terrible.
I don't know why I looked so hard but honestly he seems to have the most faithful recreations I've heard so far and by a huge margin.
I wonder if Hiroki Kikuta ever goes on TH-cam and sees what kind of impact his work from back then still has on people.

I listened to this with headphones for the first time after hearing it through speakers about 50 times over the course of the last year, and there's so many fun flourishes and percussion sounds in the background that I hadn't caught until now. This is super cool

Dude you have some amazing pieces, phenomenal really, but this track right here really puts me back in the mana world when my imagination was so immersed into the game as a child. Walking around that pond with the waterfall, hitting those dragonfly things. If these SNES games didn’t have this quality of music, i probably wouldn’t stopped playing them. And you killed that pipe piano!

it has not been. I played the original side by side with his, and it's in lockstep. In fact, I suspect when he recorded the flute/recorder parts, he may have had the original playing so he can get the tempo just right.
