ABOUT NEW AMSTERDAM
In the wake of the ambulance crash that ended Season 1, medical director Dr. Max Goodwin grieves the death of his wife, Georgia, and learns the difficulties of being a single parent - all the while continuing his commitment to solve systemic health care issues at the hospital. Add in his new responsibilities as a father and with cancer still lingering in the rearview mirror, everyone around Max must wonder how long he can sustain this impossible load. But "How can I help?" is not just Max's catchphrase, it's his reason for living. As long as he's helping others, Max is able to find hope in the most hopeless of places. The cast includes Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Freema Agyeman and Jocko Sims, with Tyler Labine and Anupam Kher.

It’s interesting how Iggy’s response to Lauren confronting him at first is the exact same as hers was; he’s stand-offish and defensive and clearly not ready to admit he needs help. Good thing Lauren is there to support him the way he was there to support her. There is such great tension between these two, yet they have a very powerful dynamic.
Yeah, supporting each other when the truth is sometimes hard to see.

I'm so happy about tonight's episode, I was a nervous wreck to the end. Bloom and Iggy was rough on each other, but that's the true test of friendship. Dr. Kapoor is alive and he has a beautiful granddaughter. I'm happy that everything went well, now we just need Jocko back full time.

i cried watching this episode becuase i've been in both iggy's shoes and in lauren's shoes. the words lauren said was something i needed to hear when i was hospitalized from an eating disorder. the portrayal in this episode hit really close to home and it did trigger something in me, but it was done with taste. i really love the representation of this and i hope more people who're like iggy who is struggling can see this.

This episode was amazing! Forget Floyd and Max going after eachother. Bloom and Iggys scene were incredible! I didnt really like episode 1 but this episode was well worth the wait.
Thank you for this episode. When I watched this episode last week it made me aware that I might be struggling with an eating disorder. After nearly 4 years of working with my therapist, today I had the courage to bring up my concerns and we're going to start working on it. Thank you for advocating for mental illness on this show.

PEOPLE! max and sharpe are the ross and rachel of new amsterdam. don't worry, they'll end up together and be endgame, EVENTUALLY! in the meantime, enjoy the sexual tension between them and the plots regarding other characters because they sure as hell deserve the attention sharpwin is getting as well!
in another note, i'm so glad to see reynolds again and that lauren is emotionally stable enough to recognize iggy needs help and to give him what he needs the same way he helped her in season one :)

All I’m saying is that Helen and Max better end up together. I get that we have to drama and a love triangle 🙄🙄🙄 but this is ridiculous let us have our ship
But that's the problem this isn't a real triangle. In last night episode Helen and new guy broke up and I'm wondering when the hell did they get into serious relationship. Can they have scenes where they talk that don't take place in surgery or with patients. Have them meet on the roof talk. I was actually getting excited when Helen recoiled from Dr. Shin's touch. I thought this would have been a great opportunity to explore Helen emotionally. Then they gloss over it. My goodness let it continue for a while have us see them working through it. They need to do more with Helen. I have a feeling that confrontation with Max is coming. The Sharpwin scenes have not been memorable so far so I'm thinking something big is coming soon. But still the writers need to do more with Helen's new relationship
