Thanks for watching. We sell REL subs - and like many modern Subs the preferred way to connect them to an amplifier is using the high level connections directly to the amplifier speaker outputs rather than a line level sub output. See ripcaster.co.uk/REL_Subwoofers
@@danhammer1278 Typically connect the REL Red+ to the Red+ on the amplifier out and the REL Black- to the chassis ground point (or leave off to float).
@@ripcastercoukthanks John - looking to buy two Rel Tzero subs with my Rose 520 and my Harbeth PS3ESR XD speakers - so I just repeat those same steps on the left speaker red terminal and red cable 👍🏻
The RS520 is a bit of a monster. Their amplifier ratings seem to be a bit on the conservative side from what I've heard from the dealers and this thing is already rated at 250W per channel. It's definitely enough for all but the most extreme of stereo speaker pairs and, well, if you need more power than these can provide then you're probably looking at purchasing a pair of matched monoblocks anyway.
Yes should be fine - we use them with Audiovector QR7 without any issues ripcaster.co.uk/Audiovector_QR7_Loudspeaker You are welcome to visit us at our showromm between Reading and Oxford, UK, to see and hear for yourself

@@ripcastercouk hifi rose makes nice products. But i think for a much less money you get 95% of the perfomance. That is why i mentioned to you the eversolo. A very good product with similar features but for 1/3 of the price.
Can you hook it up to some active speakers ? I’m using the formation duo’s and like the idea of using it purely as a streamer and thinking I could connect via the formation audio via optical or analogue ….but in the future could use passive speakers again
Yes you could use with Active speakers without using the amp. The RS520 does have PreAmp Outputs (see images of rear panel connections here ripcaster.co.uk/HiFi_Rose_RS520_Network_Streamer ) . I recommend the RS150B if that is your intended way of operation: ripcaster.co.uk/rose_RS-150 The RS150B has balanced and unbalanced outputs.
@@ripcastercouk thanks for the reply , if I went for the Rose 150b and used the unbalanced outputs would that then use the Internal DAC on the 150b, and if I used the optical out this would use the formation duo DAC? sorry for the questions I’m new to this
@@danhammer78 If you use the analogue output then you are using the ESS flagship ES9038PRO DAC in the RS150b. I'm considering this one, but I'm curious about the lack of a Sub output? It seems like I'd be limited to a pair of Full Range speakers or am I wrong?
