    Dear Mr. Shady, I'm so much gratetful to you. Today at my workplace, I delivered my first input session and it was about this very topic Adaptatinons and lead in. Certainly I have mentioned the resource and attached the link of the video. The input session was so much liked by my colleagues and supervisor. Thanks so much for helping me becoming a better teacher.

    Another fantastic video Shady, thank you! I have an upcoming CELTA course and your videos have been an absolutely invaluable resource for my preparation. Thank you! I have a question. If the point of this assignment is to use authentic text, does modifying and simplifying the text not then mean the text would therefore be inauthentic? Why is this not cause for a resubmission?

    • @Britishey
      @Britishey  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love the question. It depends on how your assignment is designed. If it says that adaptation should happen to cater for a specific level of learners, then you should do it and thus you show your tutors that you are able to turn authentic material into classroom material, a skill coursebook writers must have.

    Hello Shady!
    Thank you so much for your videos! they're so helpful.
    I have a question please. Can reading for specific information be done thorugh questions. For instance, what places can you go to discover more about the culture? and the question from the text would be: art galleries and museums. or, what item to bring while exploring the city? and the answer from the text would be: a map. Could it work like this or it has to be names and dates and locations etc...

    • @Britishey
      @Britishey  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d say try to play it safe and find names, numbers and the like. If difficult, then as long as the answer is one word then fine.

    • @Britishey
      @Britishey  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sosobora9703 That’s a tricky one and it is up to you. Sometimes you may leave some blocking words and handle them in the lesson. Sometimes you simplify them and skip the pre-teaching vocabulary stage. It is up to you and your tutor’s opinion here will be valuable and also how your assignment is designed. Not all assignments are in the same structure.
