Remember in Luke 16: 19-31 in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Paradise was in a divided portion in the center of the Earth, adjoining Hell and remained there until Christ ascended, “he led captivity captive.” Ephesians 4:8 So, knowing this, I believe Christ told the thief on the cross that he would be with him that very day in paradise.

I think that it's crucial to walk in the Spirit to be able to keep them and for ongoing sanctification and renewal of our hearts. Edited: I thought that King Josiah had copied the Torah after it was found in the Temple but it was my mistake that he didn't copy it. He did provoke many to listen to it and was drawn to obey it. Apparently he held the most impressive Passover in all of history. In the days when the Torah was forgotten and repentance was weak in Israel a good and faithful king was necessary, until at the age of 39 decided to disguise himself to go into battle. That was a fool hardy move, because he died early. (2 Chron.35: 20-26) Cyrus, the Persia King kept a copy of the new Testament in his pocket. It's possible that Cyrus carried the scroll/book of Isaiah around. Is.44:28; 45:1-7. It was prophesied that Cyrus would be a great help to God's people.

Maybe thats why people with hardenened hearts are unable/difficult to receive the and carry out the law...Why we are called to constantly search our hearts for any hardening. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets us free from the law of sin and death. Believe receiving the gospel to be saved. Paradise isn’t one of the 3 heavens people will go to after the final judgement. It is a temporary resting place we all go to when we die- until the final judgement.

Jesus's spirit was tormented in hell for 3 days and 3 nights. He fully paid the punishment of our sins all the way to hell. Our pastor has taught us on this. The type and shadow of this is in the biblical account of when the Israelites left Egypt. The night before their departure, they were instructed to kill and "roast in fire" the Passover lamb. Jesus is the true Passover lamb who was roasted in fire when he endured the fires of hell on our behalf. Another account is when Jonah was in the belly of the whale suffering for 3 days and 3 nights. This is also a type and shadow of Jesus's torment in "the heart of the earth" for 3 days and 3 nights (Matthew 12:40), referring to his suffering in hell. When he defeated hell and the grave and took the keys of death from Satan, Jesus paraded Satan and his demons through hell making a spectacle of them according to Colossians 2:15.
