Best From reviews hands down. The way you eloquently explain your pov. The comedic relief balances everything out. Not to mention the one on one interviews with the cast. It's the cherry on top of a perfect Sundae/Sunday.
Jim telling Tabitha about the Thomas phone calls is a big deal. He pointed out how this place knows how to press their buttons. Finally people are communicating

Considering Ellis had two parents previously in the Military, he is very naive. He hasn't inherited any of the resourcefulness or the seeing the bigger picture or the ability to reason or plan ahead. He is quite emotional and Impulsive really.
The various timelines intersecting there had my head spinning. Julie in the present tossing the rope down to Boyd in the past, then hearing her mom and Victor weeks or months ago. Time appears to be meaningless in that place
I took this as multiple points in time are visible from that creepy tunnel, particularly since her physical body was still outside. Almost like that tunnel is some kind of strange command center for From-ville
I Love how Father of the year Jim, mouths off at Jade. Stating he is protecting his family blah blah blah. Like what are you talking about Jimothy? You've literally JUST left Julie with Ethan AGAIN. and of course the Matthews kids are playing a game of F around and find out without parental supervision, because they just can't stay away from trouble.
It was great of Jade when Jim said this is a display of how smart you are, and just replied SO WHAT. he doesn't care about being the smartest anymore, he knows he is and is just trying to use that to do something productive, to help everyone and to get home. Thats some growth from our tech genius friend right there!
When Jim told Tabitha that Thomas called him, I immediately remembered that Tabitha told Julie how Thomas died. It was because he was on the changing table, the phone rang and for a second they looked away and the baby fell.. So maybe I dont know, that is the connection with Thomas and the phone, lets see what the next episodes brings about that 😬
I want someone to tell the new cop Boyd had to take out his own wife in front of his son after she hurt people and he found the talismans that help the team she might understand more
It didn't make sense for Boyd and Ellis to leave Fatima in the shack alone. Her missing from Colony House would automatically make her a suspect. Plus how messed up was it that they left her out there all night with no blanket or supplies. Those creatures will surround the shack and taunt her even though there's a talisman hanging up.
I guess I got the meaning of the Boy in White's story that he told Christopher! This is of course only my theory, but listen: Fromville is created by children's imaginations. "The answers to the end are at the beginning". Remember how the show began? With the Jim, Tabitha, Julie and Ethan going on the that family trip. (Yes, I know it began with Boyd and the town, but the first scene of Mattews family is this one). "It started with the children". Who's the child? Correct, it's Ethan. What does Ethan likes? Fantasy books with adventure stories. "The people that the children trusted, actually ended up murdering them". This can be understood figuratively or literally. Figuratively - Ethan feels very bad ("de*d") because the people he trusted, his parents, are getting a divorce. And he does not want that. "But not before those who loved them told them a story, and that story gave them hope". Julie tells him a story. That is literally the first scene with them. And in her story, the main character dies. But then Tabitha is giving him hope making story more positive by saying that monsters do not exist therefore they can't kill. So my guess is that Ethan kinda creates a world in his head (or not really in his head) where his family is forced to stay together because, well, they can't escape. And so did other kids that were "killed" in similar circumstances. And different kinds of monsters and ghosts (vendigo kind of night monsters, kimono lady, etc) can be explained by Kids liking different kinds of stories. P.S. I apologies for any mistakes, English is not my native language. P.P.S. Emmanuel, thank you so much for your FROM episodes reviews! Your channel is my 1st stop after watching the new episode each Sunday! Thank you!
@@heathertaylor8904 Actually Victor could be the child who's imagination created Fromville. We don't know yet what happened between Henry and Miranda, but there definitely was some sort of disagreement or maybe also divorce. Because she randomly took the kids and drove away one day. And maybe Victor was also upset and created this world.
I believe that Martin IS Boyd the same way Miranda is Tabitha. That's how he knows Julie's name. Remember Boyd is a soldier and the tattoo on Martin showed he was a soldier too and the hallucination Jade had of the Confederate soldier was Boyd from a different cycle too.
Na that old man might be Randal, he said the same thing the old man told Boyd, there’s things that’s worse than death, plus Randal got the attitude of a soldier, so it might b him
I guarantee Julie isn’t going to talk about throwing that rope to Boyd until the end of next season . Because no one in this fucking town communicates !
She didn't see that it was Boyd she threw it to, and she'll be more concerned with seeing the disfigured man on the wall. So I can see her forgetting about the rope detail of that seizure episode.
15:13 go team, Henry! now this is how you tell Jim off… You tell him: listen to someone who’s been there, who thought my own wife was insane, who didn’t support my family. Want a drink? And Jade is far more sympathetic to Tabatha than Jim. At least listens to her, and doesn’t shout at her or demean her, to even seems to care for her children more than Jim does.
Jade was being a arrogant prick though. As "he is the " *only one* " that can fix it. Also, Jim is trying to protect his family or Fromily. Isn't that the thing that we admire? That we admire Boyd for doing that? But yeah, Jim was in Season 1 determined to fix everything. But after the final of S1, he just stopped doing this

After the cicada mosnter was weakened as a result of Boyd destroying the music box it possessed Fatima to give birth to a new vessel for itself. The kimono lady is 100% evil and trying to get the cicada monster back to its full power.
just commented this on another video but the most recent episode had one of the kids say "anhkooey" slightly off and along with the time travel bit it made me think that what they are actually saying is "aunt julie". I think julie is the storyteller that eventually gives the children hope, echoing the very first scene of the series with her and Ethan in the RV.

I totally think you're right about Martin.. After thinking about it, I think Mariella, Randall, and Julie did astral projection when their eyes went white and we saw them being tortured in that dungeon, screaming. I think the same thing happened this time with Julie. She probably astral projected to the dungeon and was able to physically interact with the environment. It explains the white eyes and seizure that happened in front of Ethan.
That's why Victor didn't trust Elgin. Also would be worth looking up the character names and their meanings. Victor means conqueror, and could actually be what defeats the evil entity. Let's also not forget the use of titles of the episodes obviously with S3 ep 9 title being - Revelations: Chapter One.
I believe elgin is trying to help fatima, it clearly pains him to do this to her. But he BELIEVES he's doing the best thing for her. Personally, I believe that, instead of becoming a monster to replace smiley, i think she's to give birth to him to bring him back, or at the very least replace him. How does this help fatima? She'll continued to be tortured until she complies.
@@heathertaylor8904 Elgin is simply listening to Kimono lady instructions. Cause she told him she could save them all. Instructions : get Fatima to this cellars room and give her blood to drink. Reason he does it : he does not give af about Fatima he just believes what the ghost lady said / or is curious. Pretty clear. My favorite kind of theorizing people. People who theorize about nothing important (wether Elgin gives af about Fatima or not) ignoring what we know : he is being told he can save everyone and shown polaroid for what to do next. So no, he's not trying to help Fatima, and he doesn't believe it's best for her.
Yeah, I also believe Elgin is just listening to the kimono lady blindly. I love the mechanic of communicating with him through the Polaroids. But at the core, Elgin is prioritizing the needs of whatever this baby is, NOT the needs of Fatima herself.
@@stephensprague9635 he is mostly prioritizing saving his ass, and he's being told she can save them. So ye he listen. Sara kind of arc. I think the fact he had visions etc makes him believe he has a purpose. So he takes it all as a quest. That would explain why he listens blindly and seems a bit "detached".
@@gaeouhgaeaeYes, he's trying to save everyone, but I think he also thinks he's helping Fatima. He does care about her. He even built a mobile for the baby before everything blew up
This town is manipulating Elgin like it did Sarah. Remember she thought if she did what the voices said. That it would save everyone. The same thing the Kimono Lady is doing to Elgin. The only ones that can be trusted. Are the boy in white and those creepy children. Every thing else is mind games.
I also think Victors sister is still alive, he hasn't remembered her ever dyeing and says in this episode that he could never find her when playing hide and seek because she was very good at hiding?
It seems they are setting up Acosta to be Eloise. What other reason could there be for not revealing her first name yet? No one else goes by their last name. Now that time shifting/travel/loops have been canonically introduced, there is no reason she couldn’t have been transported to the future or past in Camden, Maine (not on her intended timeline since she doesn’t look as old as Victor) and is now reappearing due to some reason to help her brother.

My question is why did Martin act like he didn't know Boyd if he already knew Julie? I mean it could be cause he is up to something. But they seem to be very purposeful with the way they are doing things so it makes me wonder. I did notice that Martin never told Julie who was in the well.
I think Julie will go back in the past to see what happened to the children. The kamoto spirit is the mother of whatever Fatima is carrying. Japanese folk lore says the spirit comes from a body of water
I called this in episode 6. She’s an Ubume. And Fatima is carrying her dead baby. I gave a full description of this entity in the comments for reference. They are also connected to another entity that transforms into a bird and snatches children!
Hmm...some answers but even MORE questions...it seems so all over the place. By the way...That MARTIN edit was PERFECT...it actually fots the way the theme song came on and he mived his head!! 😂😂
Ohhh... So, based on your GOT analogy.... It could be that past travelers killed the kids/fairies, and they created the evil entity to rid the town of travelers similar to the Children of the Forest, creating the Night King to help fight men. And like in GoT, the NK turned evil, so maybe that is similar to what has happened in the town. The entity was maybe supposed to help the children but now wants all the control. And by saving the children, it could kill the entity and free the town.... But who is the prince or princess that was promised, lol. Just a thought. Great review and episode 😊

This was such a good episode! Finally, some answers! And, as usual, yours is the first channel I go to afterwards. Elgin filled up the bottles with his blood to feed the baby, which is most likely the Kimono Woman's baby that she'll try to take from Fatima. Elgin is too easily manipulated. Red flags were everywhere; and the fact that he's never shared all of this with anyone is so bad. You're gathering blood to feed something??!! And Julie interacted with Martin to physically throw the rope in the past was showing it was more than a "vision" and wasn't "all in her head." She did get some answers, too; now if she'll just share what she saw and heard. At the end, she heard the Angkooey kids. And Victor's revelations!!😮 One heck of an episode. Now to go spin my theories!😂
I wonder is Martin really Randell but he couldn’t tell Julie because it would change the future but that’s why he knew her name and that she would help Boyd and why Randell said it’s something worst than death and why the monster said we get to keep Randell live
I’m thinking this too! Then it would kinda make sense that the special blood Martin gave to boyd was really Randell’s because Randall was not killed by the monsters just cut up pretty bad.
Randall softening up! Martin being the all-knowing evil entity does make sense What/who else potentially gets changed/saved due to that dimension? Christopher a potential chosen one? WOW. Now wondering more what happened to him? I still keep going back and forth on whether Kimono is bad or not, but it does seem like something, if not Kimono, is using Elgin for no good 😭 This was a great episode

If I were Elgin, I would stop messing with that camera. That thing is possessed and do not trust it or the kimono lady
I think that the kimono woman is becoming more full-fleshed as Fatima sinks deeper into her pregnancy/paranoia.
At this point I'm kind of out on Fatima. Bring the kimono lady.
I thought the kimono lady had a super smirk, or mean look, when she appeared to Fatima.
I am still a firm believer that the kimono lady is not evil….

@noobieta06 yes definitely! I really believe this started with a single town and now we have people come playing the roles of the original people to change the past and free everyone.

The showrunners have already demonstrated that they’ve got what it takes to deliver a season finale. I‘m eager for episodes 9 and 10. On top of that, the cast seemed excited about this year’s conclusion. Let‘s kill it like Sara! 🤣

Considering Ellis had two parents previously in the Military, he is very naive. He hasn't inherited any of the resourcefulness or the seeing the bigger picture or the ability to reason or plan ahead. He is quite emotional and Impulsive really.
He is young
The various timelines intersecting there had my head spinning. Julie in the present tossing the rope down to Boyd in the past, then hearing her mom and Victor weeks or months ago. Time appears to be meaningless in that place
I took this as multiple points in time are visible from that creepy tunnel, particularly since her physical body was still outside. Almost like that tunnel is some kind of strange command center for From-ville
Cursed places generally don’t follow rules after all. That is all this is a curse for killing the 7 children
The whole point of the show is for us to jump to our own conclusions. That's what makes it interesting.
When Jim told Tabitha that Thomas called him, I immediately remembered that Tabitha told Julie how Thomas died. It was because he was on the changing table, the phone rang and for a second they looked away and the baby fell.. So maybe I dont know, that is the connection with Thomas and the phone, lets see what the next episodes brings about that 😬
Now if that land line had Internet, and angry birds, you know he wouldn't have thrown that away!
It took you until then to make that connection lol
Good recall! I bet that is important somehow
Damn, i missed that whole story. Thanks!
It never went into the next day. She was only there for a little while, maybe an hour or so before Elgin came by.
@@InfiniteUmbra ok but they were planning to leave her out there all alone at night.
I am so happy that we've gotten some answers this episode! I did not have biw on my bingo card!
Thank you!
@@edelweissxii this is what the writers have been saying all along the answers are in the beginning i.e. season one.
I believe this, too. And that it started somewhat with Victor, or at least this cycle. It kept him a child forever, in its way.
One of my theories was that it was somewhat a children book too😅
@@edelweissxii maybe it’s definitely plausible
I believe that Martin IS Boyd the same way Miranda is Tabitha. That's how he knows Julie's name. Remember Boyd is a soldier and the tattoo on Martin showed he was a soldier too and the hallucination Jade had of the Confederate soldier was Boyd from a different cycle too.
Are you just going to casually suggest Boyd is a reincarnated Confederate soldier?
Not saying you are wrong, but that would be some kind of irony.😂
😂😅@@kennethpierson82
I think Martin was a marine just like Abby not Boyd
Na that old man might be Randal, he said the same thing the old man told Boyd, there’s things that’s worse than death, plus Randal got the attitude of a soldier, so it might b him
@blackthor5517 I think it's the other way around. The evil entity left an impression on Randal but that doesn't mean Martin is Randall.
I guarantee Julie isn’t going to talk about throwing that rope to Boyd until the end of next season . Because no one in this fucking town communicates !
IF they even talk about it (big if).
But after the final of S1, he just stopped doing this
Not for nothing, the drinking is problematic but he seems to be stopping.

just commented this on another video but the most recent episode had one of the kids say "anhkooey" slightly off and along with the time travel bit it made me think that what they are actually saying is "aunt julie". I think julie is the storyteller that eventually gives the children hope, echoing the very first scene of the series with her and Ethan in the RV.
We need Randal and Meriell to go back to the ruins as well. Maybe what Julie saw was just a possibility of what could’ve happened
Julie heard the “akhoey” kids in the tunnels. The sub titles said it

Let's also not forget the use of titles of the episodes obviously with S3 ep 9 title being -
Revelations: Chapter One.

The Martin theme song sent me! 😂😂😂

Why do these kids always put themselves in positions where they have to run to get help? 😂😂

Did Sara stop hearing voices? The day Elgin came into town was the last time I remembered her hearing anything. When she was in the woods with Boyd.
Finally, someone noticed...
I was wondering why Sarah hadn't heard any voices since Elgin showed up
This was such a good episode!
And Martin gave Boyd the cicada blood and Randall keeps seeing the cicadas
@@mermaidreviews4693 no scar on Martin's face. Try again :).

The Polaroid Camera and the ventriloquist dummy kind of remind me of the Goosebumps stories lol!
As a Lost fan, I can say I am immune from any shocks or twists in From, tbh I can say I do miss that feeling and mind games.. Do not rely on the next season to give you answers, maybe the following one is all about the previous cycle " Miranda and Christopher " and the final season about the origin of From.. Brilliant video thx
I love how Elgin lures Fatima into the cellar at the behest of the Kimono lady and he's IMMEDIATELY a terrible person/villain but Sarah murders 2 people outright and has 4 bodies total for the same reason (doing something at the behest of whatever entity) and people are like, "She's just a good girl who got caught up give her a chance"
I think the biggest difference here is that Elgin has known about what happened to Sara and STILL decided to go along with his actions.
