Today we join NET ON THE STREETS as he interviews a certified Chevrolet Corvair enthusiast about his extensive Corvair collection, including coupes, convertibles, and even a Corvair Rampside pickup truck. These are all rear engine, air cooled flat sixes making somewhere between 110 and 180 horsepower dependent on setup and year.
The idea of owning a classic American 1960s car, but it's turbocharged flat six, is disturbingly appealing, and I fear you must buy more t-shirts. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Netgear looks like hes trying to sell weed but hes just smoking it all and ending up in debt
its hard out there dawg
He def does, that’s why they didn’t heart your comment.
😂lol
I was going with guy who sells jailbreak cell phones at the party store.
Don't get high on your own supply.
Let's go more net on the streets. Just what I needed
Also that corvair truck is awesome
This old guy is great. Very humble, just likes to use his cool old cars and not worry about them too much.
Can't wait for more of these, Netgear!
He must also really like birds. I mean look at his license plate on the Corsair 500 you can see at around 19:00
Corvairs are neat, that truck is wild. Their rep as being "soooo dangerous ooooooo" is kind of badass as well.
They're not even THAT dangerous. The VW Beetle has the same set up and no one talks about them being a death trap.
I'm pretty sure Pintos with the exploding tanks on light contact are more dangerous but I still see more of those than Corvairs, absolute injustice.
@@NEEDbacon not only that it's only the first year or 2 of the early models that could be dangerous Chevy fixed the issue way before Nader's book was published.
cool vid, yall should make a parody vid of this format where you interview edgar in his clapped 350z
that gold frontier is in albuquerque, ong i hope i run into him
Once I paint the car, it's going to look good.
Net on the Street is probably my new favorite segment, possibly only out done by hammered Netgear!
Covair King is living the dream! Respect to you Net for covering an obscure (to me at least) vehicle line. Def need more of this!
Another netgear classic 👌👌
Back in middle school when hastings was around me and my cousin would walk there always passing by this guys house dude is so humble and always down to chat with anyone no matter the topic
Heyho there!
There's a Corvair museum just a few miles from me on the 55 frontage road from Glenarm, IL. Haven't been there in a long time. Maybe I should revisit it. Corvairs are definitely the oddball of the time, but that's why I like 'em. Thanks for this. Quickly becoming my favorite automotive channel.
Cool to see a Car youtube personality in albuqureque. You'd expect more of them considering rust is damn near impossible here.
This is so wholesome, look at the smile on this man's face driving these beautiful, quirky cars. Outstanding, thank you Netgear!!
New Mexico is a perfect climate for preserving old cars.
Would love to see this guys reaction to some of the videos with the boys.
That was the first video I watched all the way to the end of. What a mic drop bro. What a guy.
Was great to hear his stories.
wow can't wait to see a bunch of realistically priced motorvehicles on my favorite youtube channel Collector Car Feed!
Loving the series hope to see more of these vids :)
Glad to see another Net on the streets video!🙏
Great video. I love the attention Corvairs are getting lately. I have two myself. One thing to note though, the Corvair was NOT patterned after the Porsche. Porsche came out with their first flat 6 in 1963. The Chevy Corvair always had a flat 6 and came out in 1960. I hear this all the time about Chevy designing the flat 6 after Porsche and that simply is not the case.
The Corvair dude is a natural presenter, he could host his own TH-cam channel!
I'm sure others will bring it up, but @MattsOffRoadRecovery took a Corvair wagon and modified it to a professional offroad recovery/tow rig on 40's. They're based out of Hurricane, UT. He's a big fan of Corvairs and I believe he owns around 5 himself.
If anyone is interested in seeing the start of the build, it begins with "New Rescue Build Reveal!" November 8, 2020.
I learned about this car from a Hotwheels my little brother had. In the town I grew up in, there was a classic car show downtown every Saturday night in the summer. Not too long after I learned what a Chevy Corvair was, a guy turned up in a beautiful 2nd-gen Monza, and I was so jazzed to see it. He was amazed I even knew what it was. I feel like such an old person telling this story.
Love this segment!
Corvairs are such a great cheap way to get into vintage American cars. I think they're one of the greatest looking cars chevy ever made. Especially the second gen ones.
My CCF prayers have been fulfilled. Thank you 🙏
I had a 1963 Corvair Monza 900 Club Coupe in the late sixties when I lived in New Mexico. I remember when going to Albuquerque back then it seemed like there was a Corvair on every block!
Fuck yes another net on the streets
I was hooked as soon as I saw the white crew socks under some fine Velcro strap sandals.
This was a surprisingly pleasant video to watch, just two dudes geeking out over cars
We’ve got a Corvair connoisseur up here in Minnesota. Old family friend, and I’m pretty sure everyone in this state that’s got a Corvair knows him.
He used to race them and I guess he usually wound up in the same class as old Miata’s cause the power to weight ratio was so similar
Netgear just eager to step on that ramp 😂😂
Ooh! I love corvairs!
I grew up in Corvairs and learned to drive in a 63 Spyder Convertible (I'm 29)
My dad has owned about 25 of them over the years.
I have a 1966 Monza 4 door hardtop with factory air conditioning and Powerglide. When it runs well I'm in heaven... but you need to keep busy maintaining it. I redid the aqua interior and repainted the car in its original color, Artesian Turquoise
Beautiful corvairs, one of the best American car designs imo
Netgear really whipped out the reddit outfit today for this one, you can tell how impressed he is.
I love corvairs! The corvair was my Nana’s first car.
I love this series. Its like a more casusal Jay Lenos garage guest episode
The rampside is so sick. Also it’s one of the last things I would have expected to see on here lol
Great content.
I’m in Santa Fe now for the chili fest. Say what up netgear
wut up fam cum thru
I couldn't have a serious interview with netgear. I'd be clowning on other vehicles with him !!
That corvair truck is awesome! Also crazy to see a tatted up old dude with knee tattoos. What a cool old head
Great video, I grew up with corvairs and I really liked your guest.
i love you netgear sweet g shock brotha
this series is great thanks netgear and feed
My favorite part of the video was when Netgear said "Daddy". I got at tingle in my no-no square...
Very cool. Every Corvair owner I've met is certainly interesting and knowledgeable. I have a 1960 Corvair 700 Sedan but haven't done much as time is a luxury. These are certainly underappreciated; Not too many air-cooled flat-plane vehicles are around anymore. Thank you based Netgear57 for the vid!
What a great find NetGear, love this format of video. Peace
love it, keep the videos coming. Net on the skreets is fire.
great Video hope you do more of these
I never would’ve guessed netgear had a bottom torso
You just know as soon as the cameras cut they explored each other's bodies
This series is so good, I really enjoy seeing these cool old dudes with their interesting collections. Really gives me something to aspire to when I am that age.
This is great! More of this type of content from the boys would be greatly appreciated.
I Love my Corvairs ❤
This video is gonna blow up
Love yalls videos, definitely showing a side of the car community that's, for a lack of better word, "real". I'm loving the new series, can't wait to see more Net on the Street!
I love Corvairs! Corvairs never had more than 4 lights in the rear.
YES!! More net on the streets
NetGear is the most charismatic shit talker Ive seen. I like the new videos!
Love these videos
Fuckin love it, cool dude. The first vehicle I drove and had for a couple of years way back when was my old man's Corvair truck. Good memories indeed
Real subscribers know the lore behind the Little Trees shirt
God the truck is just so different man. Super cool vid thanks net
corvairs was my first luv I ve own 3 earlies now I build n drive pontiac fieros
This is going to be a dope series!
6:03 someone needs to tell that man on the bike to switch gears
Most people my age (18) have never even heard about these. Ive seen all corvair configurations accept for the van and station wagon
Neatgear is always so hard. Like a pit bull that wants to fight every guest.
Corvairs always got shit on (partly for good reason) but I always thought they were kinda dope. Got to do a resto on one in the early days of my career. Learned how to tune a stromberg if nothing else 😅
Aww FUCK YEAH, i loooove corvairs, and net in the field is always a real treat, nice shit ccf, also this dude was cool as fuck
Teasing me with that thumbnail 😂
Good episode though! Great enthusiasm!
Cool dude man, feels so wholesome
Yooooooooo CCF is making wholesome content too now?? Fucking love it. Netgear makes an awesome presenter for this segment as well, turning off the crude/dark humor(which I love btw and that’s definitely his specialty) and forming into this family friendly interviewer figure lol. And it’s not disingenuous either, you can tell from the slight bit of awkwardness it has a “be polite around grandpa” feel to it. A real Tim Allen without the cocaine if you will.
I’ve had a soft for Chevy Corvair especially the 65-69 they’ve always had this vintage 60’s look to them
The Corvair Truck reminds me of a Jeep Forward Control.
1:18 my 63 Monza has a different air filter setup, it has a filter for each carb and is the high output for that year (not the turbo version)
sweet vid
Net on the streets is a banger
This is based content
This dude is awesome
Net should do a video on rotor rehab. They got some cool classic rotaries.
I think I found a dual sided ramp truck for sale at a museum... very cool!
8:19 that's all of them, even the cars.
There is a father son duo in northern idaho building corvair race cars. look in to it
this is great
beast video
love the corvair... these are also, as manual transmission, good to EV swap! transaxle... no clutch if you don't need it.. 3rd gear is fine for almost everything... THESE CAN BE SAVED!! {and improved by the added weight of batteries.. even better than the old vw dc EV swaps of the 70's-80's...}
NETGEAR keeps his phone in his front pocket in a bad neighborhood
Now I'm waiting on the Baja King 👑
More net on the streets
Sorry net, I had to post the corvair on 280’s in OEM wheels on other makes and models, that’s fucking sick.
Netgear looks like he about to pull up to a random stranger with a bunch of Corvairs and ask to film a video in his driveway
.
RCR but straight
Netgear looks cool
NetGear is soo based!
I thought the corvair truck was pretty neat with the white bumper on orange until netgear called it a “traffic cone” 😂😂
Why do I want to see a Unimog build of this truck?
having 6 vairs driving them every day for 45 years best cars i have had an i have 15,,they are tough ,,me the 110 engine is the best all around ,,thats me
