In the season 5 short, Waiting, Spongebob is waiting for a toy, and when it comes Patrick accidentally breaks it. And Spongebob says he’s ok, but after a few seconds, he snaps and starts scolding Patrick. Even as a kid, I thought this was an odd moment.
Can you do a Theory on Mrs Puff’s past with the law? From, No free rides Mrs. Puff: What have I done?! Everyone will know I let him slide through school! I'll have to move to new city, start a new boating school with a new name! No. *Not again* I've got to end this before it begins. And I find it weird she was sent to prison for spongebob going crazy and crashing the boat while taking his exam, unless she had warrents or has a past history of *something*
@AM Productions nah spongebob is a psychopath who loves driving people nuts and forcing them to snap while pretending to be in a state of bliss.. Duhhh
that's because the natural progression of spongebob is not within the show itself (as that died long ago) but in darker and more bizarre incarnations on the internet. Spongebob no longer lives in a tv but online.
Squidward actually has a part of SpongeBob in him the episode where Squidward burned out his laugh box and SpongeBob gave him part of his and it ended with Squidward uncontrollably laughing like SpongeBob
There was an episode called “Happiest Memory” (correct the name if I’m wrong) where Spongebob does his best to give Squidward the best moment of his life, or happiest memory. But Spongebob keeps failing. Eventually, he tries to give Squidward a birthday party, but none of the guests Spongebob invited showed up, so he fills the entire venue with paper-mache models of himself. When Squidward sees this, he goes ballistic, tearing all of the paper-mache SpongeBobs into pieces. Squidward then exclaims that that is his happiest memory. The weirdest part about that last scene is Spongebob’s reaction. Anyone else would be horrified at this event, but Spongebob sheds a tear of joy. Patrick and Spongebob are always oblivious as to Squidward’s real attitude towards them. But this is too much. Squidward is destroying models of Spongebob in front of him!! Anyone would be terrified if they were in Spongebob’s position. He knows no fear with Squidward...
There is also the gone episode where everyone leaves town for a while leaving spongebob on his own and he loses it. They tell him they do this once a year
Do one on Sandy. She has many rage moments. There's the High ya Sandy moment where she reverts to a stereotypical Texas southern... There's another moment where she gets one of those laughing fits and twitches her eye. Then there's the moment where she's sitting down by her tree with her hands over her knees having a breakdown. She could possibly be homesick and trying to cover up the fact. I know one of the symptoms of homesickness is nostalgia...making you current surroundings fit thst of your original home and constantly making comparisons between where your living and where you used to.
Nah. That's just natural Texam behavior. She's actually quite the pacifist radical. Any normal Texan would have a billion guns on their person at all times. As a Texan myself, I'm qualified to confirm all of this.
Horseman Secretariat i know im late. But i feel like she got lost and the only reason she has those crazy moments is because she is homesick. But overall has learned to adapt to her surroundings. Or she’s on the run for murder and can never go back home 🤷🏾♀️😂😂
Isn't that entirely what I said? I did say in the beginning of the theory "he's actually imagining all these scenarios?" meaning his friends too, which was implied in the following of "That even if he is mean or doesn't want Patrick involved, they still somehow remain friends?" I don't mean to dis you,I was just trying to help you understand the theory abit better
@Cicero for some reason when I was younger, I thought it said, "She's a meat, she's a doll, she's a pal of mine!" And I would stare at the television wide-eyed
Okay, so here’s a little kind of theory thing I have: So you said something along the lines of, “What if Spongebob’s parents didn’t notice it because something happened to him?” Well, ever notice how spongebob is more of a kitchen sponge, while his parents are more like actual sea sponges? We also meet Spongebob’s uncle, who was yellow, and a bit on the loony side, and his cousin, who went to jail. What if there is a genetic psychological problem in the family? What if it slowly gets worse going down the generations, and Spongebob’s parents knew this, but took it more so as worse than it was. All of the Squarepants family seems to be in a minor to severe state of ignorance or stupidity, and Spongebob was particularly worse, but not yet insane, but then he met Patrick and he broke, his combined genetic mental disorder and the stress from being a friend of Patrick made him in a state of blissful idiocy. Or an alternate theory based off the one above: What if Spongebob was the first Squarepants to not have this disorder in generations, but he still broke because of Patrick? And no one notices because they expected him to have the Squarepants Gene? I don’t know, those are just my theories. I don’t really have much evidence to back them up, but it was fun to think of.
His cousin Stanley is nearly the spitting image of him, and he fails at everything he does. Spongebob is also uncharacteristically mean and cruel to him in that episode. Family problems?
Spongebob complete psychopath Patrick suffers from multiple personalities Plankton persistent destructive jealous sociopath Mr krabs unhealthy obbession with wealth to the point of addiction Squidward depressed, anti-social and egotistical +snobbish Sandy endangers her friends unknowingly at times with experiments Larry... Mrs Puff... Pearl... Karen... That's all I got
Mrs puffs is insane to the point off fantazising about killing her student spongebob the chain off insanity passes on patrick to sponge bob to mrs puff and squidward
The Theorizer: there is the "Squid's Day Off" episode, where it shows his damaged psyche and paranoia towards Spongebob about finding out about him skipping work this could also suggest how when Spongebob is constantly being "friendly" and annoying towards Squidward this could have drove Squidward to having a sort of ptsd / fear towards Spongebob due to his reluctant annoying behaviour
In the episode "The Curse of Bikini Bottom" (the sister episode to "Squidward in Clarinetland"), SpongeBob and Patrick are turned into ghosts by the Flying Dutchman. Could this be considered their death, or does the fact that they were later returned to their physical forms cancel that out? Something I thought warranted a mention :P
Cant wait to see the Squidward one. He is my favorite Spongebob character and I always thought he had some form of insanity due to him still working at the Krusty Crab for really low wages(cant remember the name of the episode but I saw it the other day. Towards the end Mr. Krabs holds up a nickel and Spongebob says thats more than he makes in a year.) With that type of horrible working environment I'm not surprised Squidward is crazed.
Darth Reaper squidward just cannot get another job because there was an episode that he was fired and he became homeless because he couldn’t find a job and had to live with spongebob. Spongebob got sick of squidward and got his job back
On some occasions you see Mr. Krabs being extremely exhausted and depressed, (usually about money, but whatever) could this be some sort of depression? Maybe he also has a fear of death, because there are a few episodes of pure anxiety of old people and death (can't remember the episodes) he also had an episode where he begged the green ghost guy (can't remember his name) to not die. He is also a compulsive liar, on many occasions he lies to his employees and I think he once lied to his own daughter. Heck, in one of the episodes he tried to teach SpongeBob how to lie. So Mr. Krabs could be a narcissist, a compulsive liar, death anxiety, possibly depressed and obviously greedy. I don't know if this would be important, but I thought I would say it. It is certain that Pearl is adopted, because even if Mr. Krabs had a whale wife, a crab and a whale wouldn't be able to reproduce. Mr. Krabs has been fine with traumatizing his rival (and old friend) to the point of making Plankton suicidal by dressing up as Pearl, who plankton is scared of. Squidward could possibly have extreme anxiety or paranoia, because sometimes he has nightmares about Patrick and SpongeBob, possibly implying he is absolutely terrified of them. Mrs. Puff could be a psychopath, because (even though it's a kid show) she has planned on killing SpongeBob in car games. Mrs. Puff also hates SpongeBob, but unlike squidward, she tries to hide her hatred for SpongeBob. I don't know what that could be, I just decided to note it. Mrs. Puff has also said she prefers being in jail to having to be around SpongeBob, and has a mental brake down and rips faces off police officers, and that infamous scene where she sits in a jacket with all the walls padded becoming SpongeBob laughing at her. There is a scene at the end of that episode where it keeps on going through episodes of it happening again, which means she could be dreaming, or she is having a psychotic episode. It is possible that Mrs. Puff had always been in that insane asylum, but all the episodes with her in it could be imagination. On another note, I personally think that season 9 and upwards have gotten better than the episodes after squillem returns, but that is just my opinion.
Alex Bale (a TH-camr who has some very very good Spengebob theories) has a theory where Mr Krabs killed Pearl's mom in a war against the "normal" sea concious life, and then realised she had a daughter who was evolved like Mr Krabs and most of the Bikkini Bottom residents, so then he decided to adopt her. He theorizes that Mr Krabs uses Pearl's mother's dead body for the Krabby Patty, and that he might be raising Pearl to end up with the same purpose.
Krabs absolutely suffers from a major depression, created from both his miserable childhood (not the one in Kamp Koral, that one is new canon) and his traumatic experience in the navy. His obsession with money is one symptom, he romantisizes money because he remembers his childhood when he could barely eat. However, what most people don't understand is that what Eugene really seeks is control over others to feel more powerful. Him selling SpongeBob's soul for 62¢, his abuse of animals like jellyfish or Gary, his staff mistreatement, it all appears to merely seek money but it also gives Krabs the satisfaction of knowing that others are below him, which is a coping mechanism for his powerlessness during both his childhood and his navy days. We see that Karbs absolutely gets a kick out of scamming children and even poisoning health inspectors who dare scam him, and the only people he spares from his tendencies are Ms. Puff and Pearl for obvious reasons. Also, him abusing Sheldon in One Coarse Meal was this, a power play. Squidward likely has PTSD originating from him being the victim of SpongeBob and Patrick's obsessive tendencies. Ms. Puff is implied to be a criminal who moved to Bikini Bottom and changed her name. I recall a theory that fishermen killed her husband (seen in a one-off), and she was wrongly accused. She seems to have developed paranoia, which has led to her developing kleptomania (she has stolen things like SpongeBob's diary) and some bad impulses. This is amplified because of SpongeBob's faked incompetence (yes, it is faked, he subconsciously fails his driver's test despite knowing how to drive because he fears taking responsibility) landing her various times in jail, which has led to pure hatred of SpongeBob and people she considers lesser to her, like Patrick. This is why she bonds easily with Krabs.
Let's not forget the episode: "Breath of Fresh Squidward" Where Squidward gets electrocuted by an electric fence, and then becomes a better Spongebob than Spongebob, and ends up out doing him at everything.
Spongebob do have moments where he’s diplomatic and rather mature. But they become less and less as time goes on.. ( i actually like spongebob’s diplomatic, “ voice of reason” personality a lot more... whenever you get to see tiny bits of it)
Like the one episode where Patrick and Spongebob are taking care of that baby scallop. Patrick kept coming home late and never helping Spongebob take care of the bivalve and at one point Spongebob became more mature and actually "real" and full on seemed to lecture Patrick to the point of frowning and actually seeming quite angry thus showing he does have that more serious and mature side to him that he doesn't truly seem to have in these recent episodes. Meaning that his sanity is probably already gone.
SpongeBob on Antidepressants would be a personality echo of both Mrs. Puff and Mr. Krabs combined. Snooty, Greedy, Greasy, Impatient, and Wise. not to mention Sane alone.
In terms of Spongebob going crazy, here’s what stands out to me- In the episode “Gone” Him “imagining” his *fucking boat* is his friend and communicating with him when the Bikini Bottom leaves for national no spongebob day Not from a particular episode but spongebob NEVER uses his reading glasses anymore. Why? If he needs them to read we should be seeing them, but he never seems to read anymore anyway. Btw his glasses first appear in episode 3 when he meets sandy. As per spongebob dropping in maturity after he literally loses his mind in the Squilliam Returns episode, Spongebob used to act like a man sometimes with adult interests. In the early episodes it seemed like he liked sandy and wanted to impress her and also To drop being subtle in the “Your shoe’s untied” episode he’s getting turned on by a dancing anemone on TV, supposedly "looking for the sports channel." but as an adult it’s obvious what he’s watching. In later seasons, Spongebob’s mature interest in relationships is non existent and went from that to wanting to date a fucking *cheesburger*
Purple Vault Productions Damn Yea :( I remember him weeping in it while patrick essentially emotionally abused him buy convincing him he was hideous looking And patrick hanging out in it after convincing SPongebob to cheat on his driving test
In the episode where squidward gets hit by a cement truck, spongbob and patrick find him and call him smelly, and squidward is captured by the zoo: When the animal control arrive, he's wearing his reading glasses reading a book.
HK I urge you to repent in the name of Yahushua, Jesus Christ the use of foul language can cause others to fall away from the word of God Yahuah. Don't be in danger of hell fire find salvation and seek Elohim God and Yahushua Jesus Christ, and have eternal life in the Kingdom of Elohim God. Colossians 3:8 - But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 5:4 - Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thank Deuteronomy 5:11 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
Like starfish, sponges can also clone themselves asexually. Is it possible that Spongebob is the main sufferer of multiple personality disorder? Living in multiple universes with characters who are slightly different in personality, but not so much that we would be able to notice? I mean, Spongebob IS the main character here. There are instances where he & Patrick forget their own birthdays only to be reminded by the other. In the episode where Patrick thinks he's stolen Spongebob's donut, Spongebob tells him at the end of the episode that the donut was his and the previous day was Patrick's birthday. And in the episode where Spongebob is waiting for a Kelpo cereal prise to come in the mail, Patrick comes & reminds him half way though that Spongebob just missed his own birthday party. But what I believe to be the smoking gun, is the episode where Spongebob tries to be in 3 places at once. He has to celebrate Patrick's birthday, help Mr Krabs assemble a telescope to see an anomoly, and has to attend a science presentation by Sandy at her tree dome in front of a bunch of scientists. At the end of the episode, Sandy reveals to everyone that her new invention is a machiene LITTERALLY MADE TO CLONE PEOPLE! And clones Spongebob twice to show the scientists he can now complete the 2 other tasks with Patrick & Mr Krabs that he was failing to do throughout the episode. What if Sandy created clones of everyone including herself which would explain why the timeline is inconsistant, and why we never see 2 copies of anyone in her house in any episode? It would also help explain Patrick & Spongebob's personalities. Maybe clones are subject to neurological degenerative disorders, which is why throughout the seasons, many characters just snap for no apparent reason. Is Sandy a secretly mad scientist?
In the episode Squid's Day Off, Squidward goes insane for pretty much the whole episode. He slowly drags himself into a state of worry every time he leaves Spongebob alone until he begins to hallucinate Spongebob outside his window, as his toilet, etc. Also, he hallucinates Spongebob inside this bathtub.
i have a spongebob theory for ya sandy never left bikini bottom so she can do her research on spongebob and patrick... there are a few sandy episodes that show she's putting them against each other just to see what'll happen... maybe she puts up with them (and invultrated their friendship) just so she has a closer look on her research... why else is she always joining crazy events whenever there is a special episode? like, she obviously know some of these events are insane but she joins anyway.. you could say she's just "extreme" BUT she only was extreme back when she hasn't befriend all of bikini bottom yet... once she became a well known figure and a friend of the majority she started doing ONLY sane events... unless it's an event where the main cast is all together...
I know I'm late but @theorizer there's an episode where spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr Krabs, AND Plankton get something called "mimic madness" where they start acting like other people and forget who they are. Try watching the episode it's crazy. (Great video by the way)! Edit: You also see squidward in SQUIDWARDS eyes, begging to be "let out". I just thought that was a little odd.
I agreed with everything until the Squillium analogy. Squillium doesn't think Squidward is aposer, he just thinks he's better than Squidward because he's rich.
Well in the episode "Stuck in the Wringer", "Dumped" and "Have you seen this Snail" Spongebob sanity become more realistic and maybe he chooses to be the way. One reason might be bullying after he was bullyed from his Cousin Blackjack from the episode "Blackjack," and in "The Bully" as well, showing that bullying was a problem for Spongebob and might be one of the few reason he keep to his imagination, Squidward was teased and most likely was an out case growing up. Looking more into Squidward Character I question if Squidward fearing becoming like Spongebob and try to keep away from being like him, in "Breath of Fresh Squidward," Squidward becomes like Spongebob and act the same way as Spongebob which was being Bliss and Ignorant like you stated. So Looking at Squidward Character, as we seen in early Spongebob episodes like "Jellyfishing" Spongebob love Jellyfishing but might not be the best at it and one of few times in "Jellyfish Hunter" have Spongebob showed he can catch jellyfishes in a large amount, only other time he have done that after is to impress someone like in "I'm your Biggest Fanatic" when he was trying to prove himself to Kevin C. Cucumber, rest of the time he normally get zapped or tries to befriend them, Squidward also have something similar to that which is both is Art and Music as it's never turned out that good or sound bad to others, it's not his talent but he prefers to tell others he's a master of the Clarinet and a Professional Artist when all his artwork looks like himself and his Music is off Key with only a few times when Spongebob Helps out or in a bit of Rage he end up making something good that people love/ like. So maybe you can compare these two to see some similarities, so maybe look at what make Squidward tick and what makes him so angry and miscible that the only fun he haves is when he being competitive with Spongebob or Patrick, and when he loses his mind as before he had Spongebob around, he was calm, but Spongebob Triggered something that makes Squidward not just at Spongebob, but himself as well, maybe with so much Lust, it can turn into pure Wrath.
EthBeatThem Sqiudward lost his ability to play the clarinet in "Bubble Stand" after he learned how to blow that giant bubble that carried his home and exploded causing his hearing to be off. He has not played in tune since.
I think I see where you're going with this. You mentioned that all of the characters in the show probably went through something traumatic. I think something bad may have happened to the small town at one point. If you don't know, bikini bottom is based on bikini atoll, which used to be a nuclear bomb testing area. This might explain why they go mentally insane and start to lose the grasp of reality. In the spongebob movie (the first one, and better one obviously) when they go down into the canyon, Patrick and spongebob start singing and dancing with the bigger, more deadlier creatures. We all know that wouldn't really happen if they were to go down there. So maybe spongebob is so out of it now that he can't interact with anyone, and what we see is what's left of his mind trying to hold on to his "friends". If they even ever were real.
So spongebobs friends are dead and every thing is giong on inside his mind that is why everybody only has one personality like mr crabs being greedy because that is all spongebob remembers about him
what could also be another strain on spongebobs sanity could be the amount of time he stays at work, there was an episode I dont remember the name of but spongebob is told he has too much vacation time, so he has to take time off whether he wants it or not. and the rest of the episode is about him trying to get into work without krabs noticing so he can continue working, to the point where he kidnaps patrick and makes a costume of him to trick mr krabs into believing patrick is still on the job. that episode shows that spongebob clearly has an obsession with his job that is beyond detrimental to his mental, if not physical, health, but also that he is clearly spending far more time working than is safe because of a level of addiction that is similar to the horror stories that they tell you about withdrawal from illegal drugs, and spongebob having similar issues when he is told he cant go to work shows even more problems in his mind.
Also, yeah I remember early spongebob episodes, where sponge wasn't annoying really he was just extraverted. He also still seemed like a responsible adult, for the most part.
I have a couple of interesting things to think about, it'll be a long comment 1. The famous episode 'Pizza Delivery' is notewothy: I think this whole whacky adventure might give a clue as to how squidward goes insane and loses touch with reality. It starts with squidward kicking the car back into action and the car driving off: illogical, but somewhat realistic in the spongebob universe. Then we see them waiting for the truck: the truck itsself is a weird appearance, something slightly too random for the show, note that squidward is tapping to the rhythm of spongebob singing because of boredom, but also him giving in to spongebob. The famous 'Krusty Krab Pizza' song is him trying to ignore Spongebobs insanity, but it allready has taken a toll on him, as the tornado seems like this is one of the 1st events where Squidward loses touch of reality. The final push of him to fight it is when Spongebob says moss leads home, and he doesn't trust him. But as everything starts small, so does his drift into insanity, with the completely absurd event of the ride home on a massive rock. Further evedence of Spongebob being unknowingly behind this is that he directly/indirectly caused this: he drove the car. He wanted to wait for the truck. He sang the song, indirectly leading them offtrack to the tornado. Him saying moss leads home, lead Squidward to believe that he is yet again home. Him ultimately controlling the rock home. The whole episode provides a glimps into how exactly Spongebob turns Squidward nuts. 2. The reason why everyone in the town acts weird (and might provide extra explanation to your spongebob theories) can be explained by a fan theory: Bikini Bottom is actually a real place, not to far off the coast of Hawaii I believe. This place is where the Americans tested just how strong their nuclear bombs were during the cold war. The Bikini Bottom in Spongebob would be in the present, and all the weird actions of the inhabitants, and their human-like abilities (like fully working economies) might be the result of radiation poisoning. That it 'settled' so deep into the town, that even the minds of the folks are getting poisoned by radiation. Maybe Patrick has it the worst...
This is literally a show about a kitchen sponge who lives in a pineapple at the bottom of the ocean, a crab who sells burgers to fish, a six-legged octopus who plays clarinet, and _campfires underwater._ I'm pretty sure applying logic to it doesn't work like that.
Emaria technically SpongeBob is a sea sponge with the outer appearance of a kitchen sponge meaning he just looks like a kitchen sponge but he is indeed a sea sponge.
Great job, Theorizer! I've been watching your videos for some time now and they have become so much better animation/sound-wise! The editing and intro are so cool!
It's quite funny to me that you reference the "Imagination" quote, given that I have a picture that set as my desktop background, but instead of "imagination", it says "apathy."
The only time Squidward properly broke down (I think) was in the tiki episode, there Squidward cries under a chair wanting to live in a world of peace and relaxation.
i think the event that caused this was him being bullied by his cousin. in the episode, Blackjack we learn SpongeBob has a cousin who used to beat him up when they were kids. while the episode portrays him as a dangerous psychopath, he was only sent to prison for littering and is about the size of a insect. so it might have been that or something else in his childhood that screwed his brain.
Also just to add to your patrick story, in one episode when squidward puts up electrical fences and accidentially shocks himself his personality changes to a grumpy and angry attitude to a happy and joyful nature like spongebob and at the end he shocks himself again and turns back to normal. Maybe this could be more evidence........
spongebob and patrick also turned grumpy and when spongebob wasnt grumpy,he still acted like squidward would have(of course, its a big letdown that someone just ruined your day,but he overreacted).so maybe spongebob and squidward have the opposite side of the same problem, squidward is too dependant on reality while being a looser while spongebob doesnt need to be in touch with it at all and is a winner and once they get into the other side of the spectrum, they just ragequit the situration
In one of the episodes Squidward asks "Were you dropped on your head when you were a baby!?" Spongebob causally responds with "Squidward! ʰᵒʷ ᵈⁱᵈ ʸᵒᵘ ᵏⁿᵒʷ???"
I feel that that intro perfectly captured the art of madness... We're all mad here... Is the intro reflecting upon your madness? Are you ok? Loving your videos btw.
OH OH OH WAIT WAIT! I got a theory on what might have been the severe trauma! So, ya know all the characters in Bikini Bottom are all fish except Spongebob, right? Maybe as a child he lost a friend to a fishing rod! Then he just snapped and still is an immature child today! Any thoughts on my theory?
Hey I want to say that you're awesome for these. Your tone says that It's a theory that feels good and is just there for fun or a good different look on a show that sticks within It's own world without any parody shows as backup evidence that has a good feeling, and that's why I love your channel. Keep it up man.
Im so high. I made it to the last couple minutes of this video only to realize I wasn't paying attention to the video at all. Just staring and thinking about things
The episode where Squidward is Songebob’s art teacher, is showing us,that we should not critique others with natural talent because of jealousy, or because you think they do not know better.
Spongebob hasn't always been too happy, in the first episodes with the first writer before he quit after the first Spongebob movie. So I think the "trauma" Spongebob experienced was when he and Patrick literally died in she'll city. Idk, just my take on it Edit: I meant Shell City
I haven’t watched all the theories so I’m not sure if he said anything about this but it could be possible that sandy is studying the insanity of the main cast
@Jomel Denver you seem to have missed the point of the joke, and you really want to make this dude feel stupid about (again) a joke he made a year ago.
I got a good theory! There is a theory out there that bikini atol (were spongbob takes place) got nuked and thats the reason why everyone in the show is so human like! But i got a add on, what if the reason why patrick has the personality disorder is because the nuke. And sandy came down to test the creatures and disided to stay because she knows that patrick may get more personalitys! What do you guys think
have you ever considered the episode (i cant remember what its called) but they are on the ghosts ship and they all get sucked into a void and are literally driven insane
This was my favorite show when I was a kid. Honestly I could still sit down and watch an episode 😂 Even though I’m pretty sure the characters were just meant to be weird and stupid, this idea of it is kind of cool
8:17 idk why but im on the spectrum and just getting the feeling squidward might be too, and the sophisticated squid could be basically saying “your not neurotypocal your faking! your masking it!” and him breaking down is him stimming. idk tho
I'm pretty sure that Bikini Bottom used to be a normal town full of normal fish until the nuclear tests on the Bikini atoll. That's why Sandy is studying *this* town and not any others. And fish from outside of town seem more normal.
An instance when Squidward has a mental breakdown is in the episode "Are you happy now?" where Spongebob tries to make a happy memory for Squidward. In the end of the episode, Spongebob has a party with paper-mache clones and Squidward comes in and goes insane with so many Spongebobs not only is he having a breakdown he goes berserk ripping the Spongebobs apart like a mad man and he says and I quote after that "This is my happiest memory!" Its rather disturbing for Squidward to rip fake Spongebobs and say its his happiest memory...
If you live with a son of Bitch like spongebob as your neighbour. You wil go Insane sooner or later. I mean that yellow little bastard has no concept of private space
i remember reading somewhere about some connection between bikini bottom and radio active poisoning... now i dont remember the connection, except that it exists... is that why they're insane?
In the season 5 short, Waiting,
Spongebob is waiting for a toy, and when it comes Patrick accidentally breaks it. And Spongebob says he’s ok, but after a few seconds, he snaps and starts scolding Patrick. Even as a kid, I thought this was an odd moment.
Yeah it freaked me out as a kid when he just paused for so long
When I was a kid I was 90% sure spongebob was a horror
It always made me feel awkward because of how odd it was.
That was pretty creepy to me
I felt so bad for patrick :(
I was afraid of the drain episode as a kid
We all just going to ignore the giant library that Spongebob has?
It's like twice the size of his own house
Oh my god, I totally forgot.
I want it
Maybe idk!
He had that since before his mental breakdown during that incident as a waiter
Can you do a Theory on Mrs Puff’s past with the law?
From, No free rides
Mrs.
HK what about the fact that she ditched school before??
HK I have been waiting for someone to question her identify or at least ask the creator about what she met by that
I'm pretty sure she murdered Mr. Puff
Homebase That would explain why she never talks about what happened to him to anyone
Yess
I just realized that spongebob knows how to drive a truck in the grease episode, he was perfectly calm with mr krabs and drove completely fine
I was just thinking of this earlier
@AM Productions nah spongebob is a psychopath who loves driving people nuts and forcing them to snap while pretending to be in a state of bliss.. Duhhh
@@xFireball623x That's what I thought too he likes to annoy other people on purpose
You see, he can drive a truck, just not a boat
I’m wondering if he freaks out only with his teacher 🤔
I’m getting too into these psychotic theories about a kids show
that's because the natural progression of spongebob is not within the show itself (as that died long ago) but in darker and more bizarre incarnations on the internet. Spongebob no longer lives in a tv but online.
Me too
Go with the flow, give into madness, enjoy the ride.
Same 🙌
Same
Squidward actually has a part of SpongeBob in him the episode where Squidward burned out his laugh box and SpongeBob gave him part of his and it ended with Squidward uncontrollably laughing like SpongeBob
True
Mary Harris Yea I remember dat
Mary Harris problem is due to no continuity ever...... That's only brought up in that episode it has NEVER been brought up since
There was an episode called “Happiest Memory” (correct the name if I’m wrong) where Spongebob does his best to give Squidward the best moment of his life, or happiest memory.

Okay, so here’s a little kind of theory thing I have:
So you said something along the lines of, “What if Spongebob’s parents didn’t notice it because something happened to him?” Well, ever notice how spongebob is more of a kitchen sponge, while his parents are more like actual sea sponges?
Or an alternate theory based off the one above:
What if Spongebob was the first Squarepants to not have this disorder in generations, but he still broke because of Patrick? And no one notices because they expected him to have the Squarepants Gene?
I don’t know, those are just my theories. I don’t really have much evidence to back them up, but it was fun to think of.
That’s really cool!
His cousin Stanley is nearly the spitting image of him, and he fails at everything he does. Spongebob is also uncharacteristically mean and cruel to him in that episode. Family problems?

Karen could have Stockholm sindrome or something like that
Mrs puffs is insane to the point off fantazising about killing her student spongebob the chain off insanity passes on patrick to sponge bob to mrs puff and squidward
Larry potentially has body image issues and a bulking up disorder.
ThatGamerScott lets not forget that he at one time hallucinates spongebob being in his bathtub and going down the drain.

Spongebob got sick of squidward and got his job back
Jessica Francis Thats right. Havent seen that episode in so long I forgot it existed.

Ha now shit
What if the secret ingredient in krabby patties caused everyone to lose it 😱😱😱😱

Meaning that his sanity is probably already gone.
sponge bob might have peter pan disorder and forever lives in the plane of mind that he is a child
This feels more like a Squidward theory than a SpongeBob theory
Squidward's crazy moments can be highly linked to Spongebob's personality.
I'd rather have an insane SpongeBob than one that's on anti-depressants.
what?
they're saying they like this spongebob other than the idea that others think is true which is that he's depressed.
Sorry, I had never heard of that.
I would say otherwise
SpongeBob on Antidepressants would be a personality echo of both Mrs. Puff and Mr. Krabs combined. Snooty, Greedy, Greasy, Impatient, and Wise. not to mention Sane alone.
In terms of Spongebob going crazy, here’s what stands out to me-
In the episode “Gone”
Him “imagining” his *fucking boat* is his friend and communicating with him when the Bikini Bottom leaves for national no spongebob day
Not from a particular episode but spongebob NEVER uses his reading glasses anymore. Why? If he needs them to read we should be seeing them, but he never seems to read anymore anyway. Btw his glasses first appear in episode 3 when he meets sandy.
As per spongebob dropping in maturity after he literally loses his mind in the Squilliam Returns episode,
Spongebob used to act like a man sometimes with adult interests.
HK Remember when Spongebob had a library TWICE the size of his house?
Purple Vault Productions Damn Yea :( I remember him weeping in it while patrick essentially emotionally abused him buy convincing him he was hideous looking
And patrick hanging out in it after convincing SPongebob to cheat on his driving test
Ephesians 5:4 - Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thank
Deuteronomy 5:11 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
HK also why should there be a "No Spongebob day"?
Is Sandy a secretly mad scientist?
what episode name is that? spongebob clone one
Overbooked
In the episode Squid's Day Off, Squidward goes insane for pretty much the whole episode. He slowly drags himself into a state of worry every time he leaves Spongebob alone until he begins to hallucinate Spongebob outside his window, as his toilet, etc. Also, he hallucinates Spongebob inside this bathtub.
Squidward's insane giggle or laughter is so freaking creepy. 5:52

i have a spongebob theory for ya
sandy never left bikini bottom so she can do her research on spongebob and patrick... there are a few sandy episodes that show she's putting them against each other just to see what'll happen... maybe she puts up with them (and invultrated their friendship) just so she has a closer look on her research... why else is she always joining crazy events whenever there is a special episode? like, she obviously know some of these events are insane but she joins anyway.. you could say she's just "extreme" BUT she only was extreme back when she hasn't befriend all of bikini bottom yet... once she became a well known figure and a friend of the majority she started doing ONLY sane events... unless it's an event where the main cast is all together...
Dat intro...O_0
I'd like to see one with Squidward too.
"Squidward isn't really sophisticated."
"Squidward is a poser and a fraud."
THOSE ARE FIGHT'N WORDS
I know I'm late but @theorizer there's an episode where spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr Krabs, AND Plankton get something called "mimic madness" where they start acting like other people and forget who they are. Try watching the episode it's crazy. (Great video by the way)!
Edit: You also see squidward in SQUIDWARDS eyes, begging to be "let out". I just thought that was a little odd.

I agreed with everything until the Squillium analogy. Squillium doesn't think Squidward is aposer, he just thinks he's better than Squidward because he's rich.
He thought Squidward was a poser whenever they had a battle of the bands episode
Welcome to the therorizer where everything is like a creepy pasta

9:02 "though he isn't sick or high, he's crazy." I don't know why but I love this line so much.
I’m so mind blown I’m going to become as insane as Spongebob and Squidward 🤯 🤯 🤯
I have a couple of interesting things to think about, it'll be a long comment
And they might have been smart like Sandy, but she is a land animals and wasn't poisoned. Interesting theories !
We all go a little mad sometimes

@@EctoMess AHHHHHHHHH
This is literally a show about a kitchen sponge who lives in a pineapple at the bottom of the ocean, a crab who sells burgers to fish, a six-legged octopus who plays clarinet, and _campfires underwater._ I'm pretty sure applying logic to it doesn't work like that.
Emaria that’s why it’s a theory and not serious
It sure is creepy fun though !
Well, yeah, I didn't say it was bad, just that it's kind of silly.
Emaria oh no I didn’t think you thought it was bad and I also agree it’s quite silly but that’s why it’s not serious.
Emaria technically SpongeBob is a sea sponge with the outer appearance of a kitchen sponge meaning he just looks like a kitchen sponge but he is indeed a sea sponge.

i think the event that caused this was him being bullied by his cousin. in the episode, Blackjack we learn SpongeBob has a cousin who used to beat him up when they were kids. while the episode portrays him as a dangerous psychopath, he was only sent to prison for littering and is about the size of a insect. so it might have been that or something else in his childhood that screwed his brain.
How about the quote from Wormy:
"Gee, I didn't know you speak bird?"
"No, that's Italian"
Also just to add to your patrick story, in one episode when squidward puts up electrical fences and accidentially shocks himself his personality changes to a grumpy and angry attitude to a happy and joyful nature like spongebob and at the end he shocks himself again and turns back to normal. Maybe this could be more evidence........
Maybe Patrick got into a major accident and changed his personality.
Or maybe you can use this for your squidward theory IDK
spongebob and patrick also turned grumpy and when spongebob wasnt grumpy,he still acted like squidward would have(of course, its a big letdown that someone just ruined your day,but he overreacted).so maybe spongebob and squidward have the opposite side of the same problem, squidward is too dependant on reality while being a looser while spongebob doesnt need to be in touch with it at all and is a winner and once they get into the other side of the spectrum, they just ragequit the situration
Me: *Sees the intro*
......OK *gets holy water and oil and Bible* I'm ready now!😂
Maybe there was a car accident because spongebob is accidentally good at everything but driving
In one of the episodes Squidward asks "Were you dropped on your head when you were a baby!?"
Spongebob causally responds with "Squidward! ʰᵒʷ ᵈⁱᵈ ʸᵒᵘ ᵏⁿᵒʷ???"
More Spongebob theories yasssss
1:00 I like the theme so ima just do this ... real quick - I don’t know why I just like it and thank you random person for seeing me
Hey I want to say that you're awesome for these.
Here’s a theory: is plankton trying to save the krabby Patty?
Makes sense.
Plankton made the Karbby Patty with Mr. Krab.
So he is probably trying to get proof so people will know what is in the KP.
The episode where Squidward is Songebob’s art teacher, is showing us,that we should not critique others with natural talent because of jealousy, or because you think they do not know better.
You do realize that squilliam is all in squidward mind he's his concious and what he wants to really be that's why he wants to one up him so bad
Spongebob hasn't always been too happy, in the first episodes with the first writer before he quit after the first Spongebob movie. So I think the "trauma" Spongebob experienced was when he and Patrick literally died in she'll city. Idk, just my take on it
Edit: I meant Shell City
I haven’t watched all the theories so I’m not sure if he said anything about this but it could be possible that sandy is studying the insanity of the main cast
Thanks for ruining my childhood!👍
@Jomel Denver you seem to have missed the point of the joke, and you really want to make this dude feel stupid about (again) a joke he made a year ago.
This is worse then a bruh moment now
¿ Denver you’re so smart (idiotic and can’t spell for shit) for not understanding a ✨joke✨ commented *2 years ago...*
So, basically everyone in the show is twisted in some way.
Deep thought.
Makes me really think.
Øcto Đerp I think this theory is about ten years old.
Spongebob has Aspergers and he doesn’t act crazy
I remember having nightmares of squidward when I was 4
I read the comments first and I'm already regretting clicking on this video
Yay I'm early maybe I'm physic, well that's just a theory a me theory!!!!!
*thanks for commenting!*
Lol *psychic
Wrong theorist channel 😜
have you ever considered the episode (i cant remember what its called) but they are on the ghosts ship and they all get sucked into a void and are literally driven insane
Ghost host
Ok, that's mentally unstable sponge could be in the jail, a guarded one!
When you really have dissociative identity disorder and your first thought upon hearing him mention it is, "Hey! He used the right term for it! Yay!"
Well there's also that episode where Squidward goes into a deep depression and the only thing that snaps him out of it going absolutely crazy.
i remember reading somewhere about some connection between bikini bottom and radio active poisoning... now i dont remember the connection, except that it exists... is that why they're insane?
I'm Someone oh helll no nope nope nope I’m out!! 😳😳😅😅
Yes they tested bombs at a place called bikini bottom or so I've heard
Bikini Bottom is based on a nuclear test site.
