    I have been spending so much on a baker doing these and found out that my aunt use to make them a lot so wanted to learn not only to save money but to carry on another of her specialties . Thanks so much for this!

    I have been making these for ten years. I made them once for thanksgiving and my family asks for it every holiday. PRO-TIP: A FOOD PROCESSOR IS KEY!!!! It makes things soooo much better and faster. I was forced to use a blender this year….it took me an hour😭

      @@susanmayberry2763 Hi :) I would recommend freezing it before you dip it in chocolate. Then I would let it thaw out and dip in chocolate. Chocolate does not like moisture/condensation and they can get moisture on them when frozen. I hope that helps and I hope you guys love these Oreo truffles!

    I have been making truffles for years and the technique of using the knives for dipping in chocolate was a total amazing game changer. Best way to do it!! Only problem is my Oreo balls were sticking to the knife. Did that happen to anyone else? Any suggestions on how to make that not happen?

      Haha you’re funny 😆 I’ve never tried making just one truffle lol. But If I were,

    For your original cake pop recipe can you use buttercream for the icing if you don’t have the pillsberry one or other ones or can you use different homemade icing ? Thank you!!

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never tried that so can't say for sure. If you use buttercream or homemade icing make sure it is a heavy and sturdy cream. Any brand of icing will work but may have slight differences in taste/texture. Hope that helps :)

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Zee, these hold up really well even for a few hours at room temperature. You don't need to worry about them melting (unless they are in the sun or its hot outside). I would recommend, placing them in mini clear plastic goodie bags if you want to send them home with the guests.

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Calina :) It should be totally fine to leave it out that long or even longer. Once the Oreo truffles are completed you can place them in the fridge. It makes them easier to work with when soft. If they are too soft to work with then you can place the batter in the fridge to stiffen up a bit. Hope that helps :)
