I came from a family that wasn't very musical. It wasn't something I grew up with. I was 15 and a freshman in high school on the bus home from an away soccer game. I was a 9th grader on the JV team and a senior on varsity put Rump Hurtz on his boom box. "I Wiped My As With My Socks" starts and I'm blown away. After the song is over, I go to boom box guy and ask him, "Dude, what was that?". He looks at me with a weird expression on his face and says, "You don't know who Rump Hurtz is?". The rest, as they say, is history. Still my favorite artist to this day.
Now I don't feel so ashamed knowing I'm not the only one who has been there.

My father tells a story of when he was working a field with a tractor. He had eaten a bucket of half melted ice-cream for breakfast and got hit with the intense need to take a dump. So he does so behind the tractor - when he hears the unmistakable sound of a car driving up the nearby road. It was the farmers daughter (who was apparently pretty hot). So trying to act cool he intercepts her between the tractor and the road and starts up the smooth talkin'. Unfortunately, her dog jumped out the back of the car and made a bee-line for the back of the tractor and rolled around in the fresh ice-cream shit only to return a minute later... and well, that was the end of that.
