For people who confused whether this video is ad or case study: At the time of release of the video, they kept the link to the form of masters union in description. But after getting negativity, they removed that. Based on this we can say, this is ad.

Totally agree with you bro. One of my relative had done both bba and mba from IIPM and I know his life after that. Still struggling to make ends meet and on top of that he had taken loan from HDFC bank to pay for the fees and I guess you know how this private banks come after you to recover the money. I would say it is better to go to iim jammu or srimaur than going to masters union. At least they have a brand value.

Even Bitsom mba college which is a subsiadary of Bits Pilani and only two years old, screens students based on CAT scores. They are not compromising on quality in the name of holistic approach. Now please don't say all these top institutes are doing it in the wrong way and only a handful like masters union, upgrad are correct.

And I won't consider ROI as everything. I was also in one of the most competitive campuses for undergrad and it built resilience in me, the personality that it evolves is beyond just ROI. but it was different institution. I just wanted to know about IIM. I also have come across people saying that they were exhausted after 2 years in IIM Lucknow. Now I didn't enquire what exactly caused it. For those who are confused why this channel has put an advertisement in the place of a case study, my thoughts were also the same. But after seeing the very first link in the description of this video all my doubts were cleared.
They have already put a link to the form where anybody can market their products/services through them. And that's how a valuable YT channel became a manipulative marketing agency. Good for them! Its better to give them a break and stay away from their videos from now on.

Students join the course on the hopes of promises like placements, it is pretty difficult for teachers to mentor them, which in turn kills their Motivation.
As many have said earlier, that edtechs should focus more on paying and upskilling the teachers than burning money on marketing and sales, I'd support the same because that is what I believe will sustain the EdTech business

Speaking in terms of reality, I don't think India needs a Harvard specifically. The graduated from top IIMs are on Demand everywhere across the world! I know literally 100s of them personally. Harvard might be "Harvard" but in many ways, I think it is extremely overhyped. I still feel that MIT for science is worth the hype. Harvard is just the biggest luxury college brand like Hermes in Bags. Harvard also runs a very clear anti-India agenda as proven by hundreds of alumnus, faculty and researchers. So if it's that, we have JNU already. We don't need the next "Harvard". India needs to grow in terms of post colonial education in many fields including business. And we sincerely hope that we get something that's our very own brainchild. Not another Harvard. IIMs have a lot of pure potential but they all trying to become Ashneers and Vineetas. According to statements mentioned by them on camera, one can conclude that such money minded entrepreneurs are not the way to make either IIMs, nor the startup world successful. The plan has to long term and the execution has to be consistent

It is really unbelievable that even Think School is not able to understand difference between giving CTC of 33 lakh and building quality entrepreneurs. And When It comes to Harvared and all those prestigious college, ( personally i do not like Harvard because their biased and so intentional Anti India narratives), one thing is that they focus more on quality of students enrollment, even if they do not get enough quality student to fill their seats, they keep seats vacant but do not go for only money.( because they get so much funding). I do not know why but it seems like it was more like promotional video because you did not show any risk or faults of Master's Union, just like you most of the time you discuss in all your other videos.
I am not hating you and Masters Union but there is so much difference between creating environment of ideas, solving real world problems and building something which also focus on getting CTC of 33 lakh. Because that is the difference between harvard (even IIMA also) and Masters Union that they still focus on creating such environment , Masters Union in end they are creating midset of more placement but not quality people. I am saying that from my own experience after seeing here in Boston and studying here, that their environment is so different, because one thing they really know is if you have quality and skill and problem solver then you will get your Job done because today anyway world is in need of reall quality in world of Raj Shamani who says build brand first then product( such dumb people come at Master Union, also Karan Johar) , and also so called youtuber, financial influencers like ankur warikoo and so many other cringe influencers.
One thing i want to say is that i have observed that think school you are not good at taking criticism but please take this criticism as complement.
Till now Think School and LLA were two channels, I have had so much respect for, but now it seems like only LLA( labour law advisor) channel is only one left with their ethics and gives honest advice.

The most important thing is not entrepreneurs, but how many original researchers the institution is producing, which has direct correlation to how much state of the art original intellectual property being produced in the country. Western countries are rich because of the state of the art IP they produce. They own rights to pretty much every modern technology and most of that technology was first invented in universities or research institutes by researchers, not startups or corporations. Once you have viable IP, entrepreneurs will automatically pop up to commercialise the technology!

The issue is that marketcap for these businesses are very low. While Pratham is doing a good job for now, it will take at least 10yrs in this field to see whether his bet is good.

    But u missed 2 points :-
    1. Master Union release placement data at the end of year. Thats almost 8-10 months after IIMs release their placement data. So technically Master Unions does placements 1 year late.
    2. The only reason IIMs IITs are not recognized by the west is bcoz India is not a western vasal state, we don't have white skin and we are not Christians nor India is a superpower. Best example is Indian covid vaccines where not recognized by west untill Indian government pressurized the west. Its the same with Russian education institutes.

I think a key point missed in the placement statistics of every single Master's Union Placement report is the number of students who sat for placement and the number of students who received an offer.
There are several points to compare the placement report of Master's Union to other top B-Schools
    1. The difference in number of students in a batch. The batch size of a top IIM is between 300-500 students approximately, whereas MU has a very small batch size. This makes an enormous difference in placement statistics.
2.All of the placement reports are incomplete and they cite that the placement process is ongoing. As already stated due to their small batch size, even slight deletions of a few low-placed candidates can have a huge impact on the overall avg and median packages.
    3. MU while doesn't place a lot of importance on the CAT score, still has a very stringent process in the kind of profiles it selects. It can be consistently seen that they only take in students who already have good work-ex or are from a top institute. While the same is majorly valid for IIMs also, there is still a considerable amount of people who don't have such stellar past records and are still able to make it in by scoring a high percentile and change their career trajectories.
    4. There have also been multiple reports that their CXO level programs and other highlighted courses don't actually happen within the B-School and only a few select candidates are sometimes given the opportunity to avail it's benefits.
    5. As far as I am aware, though I am unsure of this, MU also doesn't have any reservation or quota. With all due respect to all the reserved candidates, it is generally seen that these candidates enter into a B-School at lower percentiles than their General Cateogory counterparts. MU also doesn't have to place and help improve these students unlike other top B-schools in India.
In my opinion, if you have a stellar work ex (or are from a top institute) and are really interested in Fin-Tech, then you can definitely enroll in MU and you most probably will have a good experience. But anybody other than this niche should be very careful and vary of this hype created by TH-camrs. Ensure you understand the pros and cons of the b-school thoroughly before enrolling.

That was really some content! So rich content with no mention of any sponsor!! This is actually how I understand how virtuous cycle of masters' union actually is. You get complete content, a completely genuine authentic, it's budget and an opportunity for a win-win situation for both the silent master sponsor and yourself! I loved the way you both worked together more than the video!!! 💫 All the best buddy!!! I too want to make content like that and wish to work with you. You too will like that I bet.

The Govt and UGC have done the same thing by introducing the professor of practice for engineering colleges, but introducing such schemes in UG space of engineering where education which is imparted in colleges and subjects on which industry works are highly contrasting. The education system needs to be overhauled with focus on emerging fields and technology otherwise we will keep on losing brilliant minds to western countries.

I think Marketing domain must be pretty good in Masters' Union as they do excellent marketing through youtubers.

Great work "Think School" Much appreciated.
My remark is, this college admits only "GRAET" students. obliviously it will become GREAT school. I think, you have got my point.

Masters' Union is definitely awesome in Marketing, their pillar1. In the name of business education, they also got themselves promoted.
Masters' Union is some flashy cool ass startup shit but you cannot compare it to the God IIMs and FMS.

This was our focus as MDI 2009-11 student, but on personal level. Live projects, business case competitions and strategy challenge projects are the only way to apply theoritical learnings in real life.

what a perfect ad placement for Masters Union. The very trick was to put Grover and Gupta on the thumbnail. irrespective something to learn from their approach.
the best would part is it is not for the 99% percentile students who would any day go to The Top 3. it is for everyone of us: who want good education but can' compete to be good enough to be 99 percentile and gets rejected.
hard lessons to learn there is no success without perseverance and hard work. and 2nd, not every one is destined for the same success.
if you are not enjoying the process of Hard Work. if you are getting pressurized by the goal that you want to achieve, believe me that goal is not for you. live a happier and peaceful life doing something smaller rather than depressing ourselves by chasing for the biggest.
if the calling is in there, you will go for it and shall chase it. but without the calling you shall only end up chasing a car like a dog.
imagine yourself as your own kid and forcing your kid to come first in his class. would you want to that to your kid? then why are we doing it to ourselves.
this is definitely not a failures mentality. it is all about the calling from within. only then you will be able to put the hard work and be happy about it.
