Why did you move from the Tamarijn?

We had the backlash of hurricane Ian and room got a bit of water damage so moved to the sister hotel Divi all Inclusive

@@emptynestexplorers Ah, seems like the beach never recovered. Looks pretty bad still at the Tamarijn. Do you know if they have ala carte breakfast at either the Divi or Tamarijn or is breakfast always the buffet? Did you have any preferences with either hotel?

It was a buffet at both I'm afraid. Very nice breakfasts though. If i am honest I preferred the Divi. Our room balcony overlooked the pool and was very close to the bar too.

Did you by chance video your room at the Tamarijn? Is is vary similar to the Divi? Sorry if you posted it and I have just missed it.

@@jennifertait2287 Ok so the Tamarijn room is very similar to the Divi room i featured. That being said, the Tamarijn rooms have all recently been refurbished. So the improvements are a bigger TV, USB ports in the wall sockets, better lighting (some being a colour changing dial so you can select any colour of lamps),comfier beds and generally cleaner. Also the balconies are a bit more private compared to the Divi. You will love your stay I am sure but the only dissapointment is the amount of rocks on the beach meaning that you cannot just walk from your patio doors to the sea directly (unless in blocks 2400 or 2500) Hope that helps.

@@emptynestexplorers Thanks for the info. I know about the beach. Many seem disappointed by not being able to walk right out to the water directly. I’ve been doing so much research and knew that when we booked. I’m hoping to make use of the bikes to explore and go beach hopping.

@@jennifertait2287 Yes I think the resort has free bike hire. There also electric scooters everywhere and the yellow bus service that goes from the capital to Arashi beach along the coast is very good value. We hired a car for 2 days and that was really cool being able to get around to different beaches especially on a Sunday when the bus service is restricted to 1 per hour.

Yikes, balconies aren't very private or secure.
