      X standard mag is only single stack and holds 8 rounds iirc, only advantage of this mag-stock hybrid is more ammo capacity

      Not like that ever stopped DICE. Historical accuracy takes a backseat to having cool guns as far as they're concerned.
      I would say this falls in line pretty well with the kinds of guns the pilot class has.

      There are 10 round magazines available for the 1911. I have 5 7 round mags and 2 10 round mags. My 1911 is not dumb it works without any problems and it's outright deadly.

      @@youtubeuserdan4017 it's that the Thompson uses whether a large magazine or a drum magazine which is big, circular and holds a lot of bullets. And I think some people may find it very impractical and heavy to carry, just like the gun on the video.

      actually most of the time they used the 20 round mags for Thompson because the drums were only in service for a short time and it’s because they were not preferred because you could carry more of a reserve on your person with 20 round mags and it was much easier to reload and much lighter

      TroopperFoFo im pretty sure it wouldnt work. from what I have seen on the double barrel 1911, 2 single stack mags barely fit beside each other. this contraption is WAY thicker than a standard magazine.

      It's because he was worried about carrying anymore ammunition of 40 calibre. It's estimated he could have got 60+ in it.
      The spindle mechanism also takes up wayyy too much room. He could have done that far better

    Surprising similarity to the high capacity magazine design utilized in airsoft. They tend to use a circular "treadmill" to shove rounds around, but you can hold a lot after loading a reservoir and winding it. Guess the design similarities aren't all too surprising.

They actual original intended use for the arm brace was to provide a secondary point of contact to the forearm, nowhere near the shoulder. There isn't anything to "but" here. They fit the requirements exactly.

      I think he once swore during a match that went really badly. He had a catastrophic misfeed or something. I think he also swore during one of the early mud tests where he crawled through mud with the rifle.

    1911s have always been my favourite pistol there's just something about them, and in all honestly this is something I'd love to have just for the novelty, maybe someone can make a more modern version with lighter materials to make it more practical even if it's only use is for going crazy on the range

    I do wonder, how durable the mag catch would have been after prolonged use. Seems flimsy for keeping a 10 lbs bulk in place. No the whole weight, of course.

    Usually you'd load a magazine into a gun. This is probably the first time I've seen a case where you load the gun onto the magazine.

    I was the second owner of Nomar and it was made in springfield OH by the Eagle tool company around 1937-38 and was sold at a local auction in 1983.

      The lower profile I imagine is the reason why it is like it is. Foregrip and stock is nice and all, but you can keep this pistol really close to your body without having to extend too much, opening your firing profile.
