@@Dralexus AC always had a bit of RPG elements. Skill trees, levels, weapon, gear, housing etc. Always been there since AC2. It's just the RPG trilogy went well.. full Action Fantasy RPG and not stealthy parkour focused action game.

The trailer looks cool, but it has worried me. We've clearly been lied when Ubi told us AC Mirage would have Unity-like parkour, and this is clearly Valhalla's parkour (even the pole move, as cool as it is, uses recycled animations). That makes me think of how many lies Ubi may have told us (regarding social stealth, NPC population, Unity-like Black Box missions....etc). Don't get me wrong, it'll be cool to have a game set in Bagdad, even if it has the same systems as Valhalla (and, if this time it has an actual Assassin's Creed story, it will be cooler), but I'd keep my expectations in check, just in case. Some of the combat looks promising though, and the setting looks gorgeous to me.
I agree with the parkour, another thing which I don't know why nobody talks about is that literally almost every assasination or finisher is straight up copied from valhalla...
Considering the fact that this used to be a DLC expansion to Valhalla and it’s using the same engine that the RPG titles used, there was no way that the parkour was going to be just like or near Unity’s. It’s probably more so in the control scheme that will make it feel more like the older games but still, we just have to wait for the game to come out to really see what they meant.
@@spiderbat1962 Considering Mirage was originally planned as a Valhalla DLC, I expected the same engine in both games, but I also thought (because of what Ubi stated in some interviews) that Basim would have some new parkour animations and mechanics (which, I guess, Ubi would have shown in a trailer like this). However, even if the parkour system turned out to be the exact same as the one on AC Valhalla, Bagdad as a setting, alone, is in my opinion more parkour-appealing than anything seen in Eivor's adventure. All in all, here we are all speculating with what we have up until now (I mean, it's the only thing we can do at the moment 😂), so you're right, we'll have to wait and see what does the game feel like when it launches 🙌🏼👌🏼
I'm glad Ubisoft experimented with AC's formula throughout recent games, but from what we've seen from this trailer, i'm even more glad AC is seemingly going back to its roots and i hope the upcoming games stay in the classic gameplay formula as well

looks like average parkour, if this is it on the parkour side whilst it being the main focus for this game, it is pretty sad tbh but then again the old ac look and feel is there, thats all i need at least.

The parkour isn’t what Ubisoft promised. In the gameplay trailer, look at 0:25 - 0:30. When he jumps from the hanging objects, it is origins parkour, just sped up. Also look at 0:38. Also, when the spearman attacks Basim, he parries the spear by *moving the dagger up*; just like odyssey! At **1:11**, that is an rpg element- *from Valhalla!*
It looks ok, I am not sure I am buying full price but if it has at least 20h to complete the main quests and maybe half of that as side quests I think I wil buy at 80% off

The animations look identical to Valhalla, and even tho I’m looking forward to this game I’m kind of concerned about that. I was hoping for AC unity type animations that looked more cool. This gameplay looks as if they made Siege of Paris a full game because that DLC had glimpses of the stealth assassination gameplay they’re showing here.
Idk if they showed it or not but I hope you can steal the enemies weapons and use it against them like in ac 2 and brotherhood. I also hope there are many weapon varieties like in 2 and bh
You can be hyped but remember my fellow games - We had big names with faces and voice like in Cyberpunk 2077. We had the old vibes with the games like the battlefield 2042. We had some games which gives us error when we clicked on them on the launch day like Red Dead Redemption 2. We have some games with poor optimization and games which are highly optimized and still failed. Among many of these things it's really hard nowadays to get a good game which also runs well and is fun to play. So don't you fucking pre-order this thing. Let this game released and wait a few patches and then see some gameplay on TH-cam then decide if you really want to spend money on it.
@@BlueSkullX Eivor is a warrior that uses assassination as a hobby, a sideline. Bassim is a professional that does nothing but assassin work. If you play Vahalla, you see far more open combat than you do sneaky killing.

I’m just not as hyped as everyone at all. The graphics look the same as syndicate, the world looks like an asset flip of revelations and clearly they don’t want to show a lot considering how often they used repeat animations over different scenes. Barely showed parkour which I’m sure will be Valhalla level and I can already tell the combat will look cool but this game isn’t gonna be what Ubisoft have been saying it’s going to be. No unity-level parkour and I can tell the story is gonna take a back seat to 25 hours of bounty hunting

Makes me remember ac unity and ac1. If only ac odyssey had parkour and combat like this I really liked the time period ac odyssey was in and the stunning looks of the place. Could of made kassandra a proto assassin and then she leaves the assassins to go on her journey. sorta make her be the one who makes the assassin's since her decendents literally made the brotherhood one in Rome and the other masyaf.

@@jimsus69 nah oddysey all u needed to hold was one button to run and go up and down. Butbin unity and more so ac1 u have to use more to climb and etc. Also the camera felt further away from the character.
@Ghost1gx being more awkward is not a bonus.. being easier is better.. Not having to hold run, is better. And you can choose in odyssey and valhalla how far you want the camera away from the character. You can have crappy god of war kind of zoom in where you see the characters back all the time, OR you can have the right "correct" distance.. where you can see all the surroundings, and during fighting it zooms in and out depending on how many bad guys there are.. unlike god of war where you have to keep spinning round to look behind you or just get killed all the time which ruins the whole point of having third person view. Its more like first person view, with a floating half body in the corner.. like watching a movie with the deaf sign language guy in the corner.. it's really distracting ffs and definitely Not real third person view. Assassin's Creed do it right.. and do it best. They learned that the old crappy way isn't the best. They learn from mistakes. As should you.

Unity’s parkour was extremely complex. In syndicate they simplified it and from origins, each gale simplifies it even further.
