Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4t is substantially better. It's around 100kgs lighter, has a bigger engine with an extra cylinder, has way more kit on board as standard, is way more reliable and comes with a 7 year warranty from new. It's also a lot faster. Suzuki lie about their performance figures. They say it has 130bhp and 0-60 comes in 9 seconds, but what they actually come with is 155bhp and it will do 0-60 in 7.1 seconds. Looks it up online if you dont believe me. They are also effortlessly tunable. It's a no brainer if you ask me. Even the previous gen 1.6 NA is a hoot.
These ups are very reliable, and the 1.0 TSI is one of the most reliable engines on the market at the moment. It just comes down to preference. In my opinion the Swift drives great, but it just feels cheaply build compared to the up.
