Put me on the spot like that....this type of clustering fruiting body on the trunk of the tree is refered to as cauliferous.....immediadtely reminded me of a Cannonball Fruit Tree (Couroupita guianensis), but they are native to South America, and have a very distinct smell and much larger fruit (there is one at the GBDBG). There are species of cluster fig, like Ficus racemosa that fruit like that but doesn't quite match ...... best bet is it could be a species of Langsat (Lansium parasiticum), known as dokong in Malay but I am not familiar with that tree so its a guess. What do you mean youre not carrying your knife! (rule #9 Dylan).....really is helpful for id to get good look at inside of fruit and flowers if you get a chance.
Hey guys. Good to see your still posting vids. Hope you're enjoying Perth. If you want a beer at a yacht club or go out for a sail before winter arrives shout out. We had planned to sail to Malaysia in May 2020, but something happened. We have sailed this route a few times, but would love to pick your brains. Terry Baker Past Commodore Fremantle Sailing Club. If interested pm me?
Hey Terry , We would love to catch up for a beer. I'm working a 2n1 roster at the moment so It would have to be in 2 weeks or so? We would love to come for a sail also, it has been a while now due to Covid.
